Great experience at Ivy Tower Bridge
Great experience at Ivy Tower Bridge! The food was really tasty, well-presented, and full of flavour. Friendly service and a nice atmosphere too.

Steak was so tough I could hardly cut it. When shared with waiter no options were offered, just an “I’m sorry”, When ordering a $35.00 filet one would expect it to be eatable. Service was very slow but everyone was very kind.
The food was decent
Very poor customer service. The food was decent, but the overall service let the experience down. The staff felt quite dismissive at times, and there were long waits throughout the visit, from waiting for our food to repeatedly asking for tea, which took a while to arrive. We also had to wait a long time to pay the bill. Because of these service issues, we feel a 3-star rating is fair.

Just had a wonderful meal at the Ivy at Tower Bridge. Service was impeccable despite very busy with the Xmas rush. Staff were friendly and charming - clearly good training and recruitment. Did not feel rushed and even though we were moved to the bar when our meal was over and well past our booking time it was done with such class and charm it was more than fine. Spentva couple of hours there and offered complimentary drinks. A wonderful evening. Thank you and Merry Xmas. Highly recommend. The service the best I've seen in a long time.
Poor customer service
Tried to make a booking for a birthday meal. No luck through Open Table and despite an email offering help from The Ivy Customer Services, they never answered when i replied. I've now made arrangements with another restaurant. Poor service from The Ivy.
Great views, dreadful service
What an utterly disastrous brunch we had on Sunday at The Ivy.
After sitting for 45 minutes, we realised that several tables around us—people who had arrived at the same time or even after us—already had their meals and were close to finishing. Our waiter had taken our order promptly but then disappeared completely.
When I asked a waitress (who we later found out was actually the manager) where our food was and why it had taken so long, she assured us she would check immediately and return straight away. Ten minutes later she still hadn’t come back. We could clearly see her across the restaurant, but she avoided looking at us and kept herself occupied as far from us as possible. We were baffled.
We asked another waitress for help and requested to speak to a manager, only to find out the person avoiding us was the manager. Shortly after, our original waiter came over, apologised profusely, and explained that our ticket had been misplaced. He told us the food was being cooked and that the meal would be complimentary. We thanked him, though we still couldn’t understand why the manager hadn’t communicated this herself.
About ten minutes later the food arrived—completely cold. Not lukewarm, not slightly cooled—cold. The manager came to finally apologise and ask how the food was, when I told her the food wasn’t hot, she offered to have it remade. By this point, some of our group needed to leave for a train and we had all lost patience.
I’ve visited the original Ivy in the West End many times over the years, as well as Soho, Chelsea, and Richmond, and I have never experienced such a shambles. The manager at Tower Bridge desperately needs retraining in customer service and basic communication. Mistakes happen, but the way this was handled was a real disappointment.
We won’t be returning.
Shocking!

Re : The Ivy Market Grill Covent Garden
I was unable to book the Flagship Ivy West Steet for pre-theatre dining several weeks ago, (fully booked), so I reluctantly booked the Ivy Market Grill in Covent Garden, through OpenTable.
The last visit to this restaurant I was offered a free glass of champagne for two because of the very poor service, I refused the drink and left, as there is no excuse for poor service.
Arriving at 17.05pm on Saturday 22nd November 2025 for a booking at 5.15pm, there was a queue of 10 to 15 people standing in pouring rain with umbrellas waiting to get in.
All these customers had booked and were told their tables were unavailable.
So I was told by the fretting receptionist that there were no tables available for my booking of two, and only groups of four could go in, who, by the way, had booked later than us, leaving all couples waiting, and many in the pouring rain. I asked the receptionist how long would we have to wait. She didn’t know. This is appalling.
By this time the queue in the rain extended to 20 or so customers, and all had booked for around 17.15pm to 17.30pm.
Another couple suggested we TEAM UP for a table four in order to get a meal.
What a sad situation.
At 17.35pm, I decided enough was enough, as we were going to The Royal Opera House to the Ballet, so we ate elsewhere.
I have no intention of letting The Ivy Group ruin another night out for me, my family and my friends. To my disgust I received an email from the Ivy Market Grill today Monday 24th November, confirming that I cancelled. What on earth are you all doing?

Great Service !!!
The service was fantastic. All the staff members work welcoming and helpful.
Food was absolutely superb. My experience was so pleasant I wanted to return the next day.
Dinner
This was a special meal for myself and my wife, but we were very underwhelmed by the service and the time it took for our food to be delivered. We booked a table for 9pm and our main course wasn’t served until 10.30pm. The food was average and no one asked or seemed to care about our experience. Having been to other Ivy restaurants in London and Cambridge which were excellent, we were very disappointed by the Ivy Tower Bridge experience. Won’t be going back and unfortunately will probably think twice about going to any other Ivy.
Very disappointed & not a good experience
We went for breakfast, ordered the full English & a vegetarian, tea for two & some water, we got 1 tea bag that did not even colour water, asked for another, which made no difference, they brought a bottle water & poured it before had chance to state we just wanted a glass & advised waiter again tea was not nice, didn’t offer alternative & avoided us thereafter, charged £5.80 for water, £4 for tea, neither of which we had & they added 13% service charge, the Potatoe Rostock & toast were, Luke warm & hard, not what We were expecting from the Ivy & will not be using again or recommend, a lot better little cafe around, cheaper & better 😡
Valentines night meal
Booked for Valentines night meal. Given awful seating, next to the bar and on a shared bench seat with a very loud couple next to us. No live music as advertised, no Forever rose as advertised. Food was ok at best but far from good.
I wouldn’t return, plenty of other options nearby with decent seating, good food and also provide the service they advertise.
If this was a 1st date I’d of been so embarrassed by my choice of restaurant!
Went to the Ivy Tower Bridge
Went to the Ivy Tower Bridge - a lovely location and venue. I went with friends - their meals were excellent, however my vegetarian option was disappointing. Aubergine and lentils with sweet potato mash. It tasted and looked like baby food. So upset. I’ve been before and the veggie option has been much better - not Ivy standard but better.

We had a lovely afternoon tea with friends celebrating a birthday. The food was delicious and the staff were very accommodating. Wonderful day had by all.
Delicious food and outstanding service
We were celebrating a special birthday and I had been to this restaurant a few weeks before. We were welcomed back by Nizer who treated us like valued guests and we were made to feel like royalty. We had a wonderful table at the front of the restaurant with a view of tower bridge. He really made the evening feel extremely special. The food was delicious. My cheese soufflé was light and airy…quite remarkable. We all had different starters, mains and desserts and each one was memorable. Vio was our waiter and was very attentive to us. I couldn’t have chosen a better place to mark this special occasion. The staff here made the evening for us. The food is so good and the location by tower bridge is excellent. I can’t wait to come back and visit again. Thank you to Nizer for making it such a memorable evening.

We visited on 27th January we were all so looking forward to it. What a disappointment from start to finish. Our waiter had no charm at all not even a smile. Our first drinks order was incorrect, the meals were delivered and handed across the table, the meal was hot in places and warm in others. We ordered another drink at 5.50 pm and didn't arrive until 6.20 which was too late as we had a show to get to so unfortunately had to refuse them, we asked for the bill to then find we had been charged for the incorrect drinks at the start. We have been to the Ivy in Birmingham and service was outstanding. We really expected the same or even better in London.

We dined at the Ivy on Thursday…
We dined at the Ivy on Thursday lunchtime and were most pleased at first, our appetisers of Crab salad & Duck parfait were excellent and beautifully presented. We did however have some order problems, a drink did not arrive, incorrect starter and then an extremely long wait for our main course. I had the Ivy burger and I have to say was not impressed, overcooked and dry, crudely presented. My wife & a friend were happy with theirs. We did not complain but the Ivy did redeem itself by omitting to charge for half the items, so hats off to them, full marks. Would love to revisit and hopefully have a better experience.

Afternoon tea was awful we thought what we were served was left overs from a previous diner.Staff were rude and very slow .We waited 30minutes before we were ask of what tea we wanted.Very bad experience and have written to the ivy with no response We have another voucher but reluctant to use it.Cost 60 pounds not worth 10 pounds
Absolute shocking experience

Regret eating at the Ivy at tower bridge
The food was really nothing special
A steak arrived almost raw , but bery burnt on the outside , as a family we eat steak in many places , this was the worst steak ever ordered , the waitress suggested that we order a thinner steak , hilarious really , how can u mess up a fillet steak , does the chef not know how to cook a fillet steak ?we were offered free deserts as sort of compensation as we had teenagers we let them order a desert , but when the bill arrived we were still charged for them, poor staff communication, we paid the bill as we just wanted to leave , the actual restaurant really does not have the best atmosphere, I’ll definitely not be going back, I’ll just say check out Harry’s in New York , they know how to serve the best cooked steak , the Ivy could learn a few things !
