Craig's knowledge and craftsmanship is brilliant. He turned a couple of very old rings into a beautiful new wedding ring for me and replaced a few stones in another old ring, his knowledge of the historical technique and style of this ring was great. So pleased with the beautiful pendants Craig has created. Craig is very kind and accommodating, he has many years of experience as a jeweller and his craftsmanship is superb. I had a ring, which I didn't wear, which Craig has made into a beautiful pendant. He also created an elegant and contemporary drop pendant using the stones from a broken necklace and a matching brooch. My mum recently passed away and I inherited a lovely red garnet ring which after only 2 months I managed to damage by shutting the car boot on my hand. I lost a stone and broke the claw and was extremely upset due to the sentimental value of it all.

I found Craig through google, read the online reviews and went to visit him and he has done the most wonderful job of matching and replacing the stone as well as rebuilding the claw that I broke. The ring has been cleaned and looks amazing and I'm absolutely delighted to have picked it up this morning and be wearing it again.

A Rare Craftsman with a Heart of Gold
I discovered Craig through a Facebook recommendation, and what a discovery it was. I had been searching for someone special to amalgamate my late parents’ wedding rings into one—a piece I could wear in their memory. But I didn’t just want the end result—I needed to be present, to witness the entire process and know it was truly their rings becoming one.
Most jewellers said no. Then I found Craig. Not only did he say yes, but he welcomed me into the process with open arms and open heart.
He carefully preserved the hallmark from my father’s ring, then melted both rings together as I watched, turning them into a glowing nugget of gold. From there, he shaped, annealed, and rolled the gold—crafting it into a bar, then a “C”-shaped band to be joined with the hallmark segment. Finally, he welded the seams to create a complete ring.
Watching it come to life was emotional beyond words. The final shaping and polishing revealed a stunning band—a true circle of love—shining with meaning and memory.
Craig’s passion, skill, and kindness turned my idea into something profoundly personal and beautiful. He is, without a doubt, a rare craftsman—and I will be forever grateful.

I recently reached out to The Jewellery Guy for a ring resize and to discuss if he could make a new ring for me. The ring resize was done and ready to collect the next day, and being white gold he rhodium plated it too making it look as good as new.
