PLEASE BEWARE! ….I purchased The Meal Prep Kings books…

I purchased The Meal Prep Kings books and thought they were ok. a few tweaks needed but they were ok.
I then followed him on instagram and saw his abuse towards women, it’s true what another reviewer has posted, that he says he’s turned his life around regarding sobriety, his drunken rants were truly disgusting and caused his publisher to drop him and other companies that he was involved in dropped him too.
HOWEVER he is still to this day being abusive to women online, and now cannot blame being drunk. He’s still posting photos of women on his social media without permission from the women, and calling them disgusting names and he goes on and on and on, saying they are fat and lazy and they all have the same look, and how he can almost smell them through his phone, he repeats the abuse day after day constantly.
He supposedly promotes heathy eating, but will eat an enormous amount of unhealthy food followed by 3 tubs of ice cream ..yes 3 tubs! in one sitting.
If anyone asks him a question regarding meal prepping, he calls them thick and never answers politely or helpfully.
He’s created another trustpilot account to steer people away from the reviews on this one, and I do not believe that the sudden influx of positive reviews on there (or any on here) are genuine. he is well known for creating and posting false reviews.
But most importantly, he needs to seriously stop the online abuse towards women.

Red Flags - proceed with caution

I purchased both meal prep books back in 2022 but no longer use them and have since moved to online recipes from other creators, which I find more original and inspiring.

In my experience, many of the recipes in the books felt quite generic and not particularly original. I didn’t feel they offered much beyond what is already widely available online for free.

I have also been disappointed by the creator’s public behaviour outside of the products themselves. Based on their social media presence, I found the tone to be unprofessional and unkind, particularly towards people who are overweight and towards women. The content often comes across as body shaming and appearance-focused, which I personally find uncomfortable and unnecessary in a fitness/food space.

I would encourage potential customers to also read the other reviews on trust pilot for the same company under a different thread.

Overall, this wasn’t a positive experience for me, and I wouldn’t purchase again. Proceed with caution before signing up / buying products.

Con man using fake reviews

This man has put pictures up of his potential clients up to fat shame them, including myself. I only asked how to adapt for my disabilities and was met with so much foul abuse.
He mainly targets women. And labels publicly, fat, lazy, "look at the size of it". He has posted pictures of my face along with others on his social media saying he can smell us through his phone. Any effort to get these removed or to question the abuse, you end up blocked immediately. He is also known for making many fake accounts and I can see so many reviews on this review page and his new one that come from him. BEWARE! DO YOUR RESEARCH. This man has no qualifications, his meals are taken from online BBC recipes. His app doesnt work out macros so any reviews claiming that are fake. The man has confessed to gaining over 3 stone in weight over 3 months on his own plan because it doesnt work!

Avoid this bully

This guy just likes to bully and prey on woman online, especially behind false accounts. Do your homework. I bought his app and it is a waste of money, you could easily use a free app to do the job.

Avoid this bully!

Please please please do your research before entertaining giving this guy a penny of your money! He bullies and gives verbal abuse to anyone he doesn't agree with. This is what he did to me! He also has no qualifications to do this job.

Please read before buying

I bought his book years ago and initially liked the content. Over time, I became uncomfortable with his online behaviour, particularly how he targets and speaks about women. Because of this, I wouldn’t support or spend money on this brand again. I’d advise others to research carefully before buying his books or paying for the app which doesn’t do what it should.

Lies & more lies

So, the “Meal Prep King” strikes again. You know, the guy who’s been stuffing his face with mountain-sized portions while claiming he’s miraculously shedding pounds? The one who’s made a hobby out of calling everyone else “lazy” and “fat” because they’re not following his ‘flawless’ method of eating enough food for a family of six? Yep, that one.
For months, he’s been wagging his finger at anyone who dared to make an excuse, proudly declaring that if you’re not losing weight like him, you’re just not working hard enough. Except — plot twist — turns out he wasn’t losing weight at all. In fact, he’s gained 3 stone.
This weekend, he finally admitted what most people with eyes had already figured out: it was all a lie. The weight loss? Fake. The discipline? Non-existent. But don’t worry — now he’s got a new plan to lose the 3 stone (the same weight he said he never gained) by his birthday in November. Because if there’s one thing you can count on, it’s that this time will totally be different… right?
At this point, his biggest “prep” seems to be preparing fresh excuses

People should think twice before handing over money to someone who has repeatedly lied about their own progress, misled their audience for months, and built their platform on shaming others while not holding themselves accountable. If someone can’t be honest about their own weight gain while preaching “no excuses” to others, how can they be trusted to give genuine advice or sell products that are supposed to help others succeed?
It’s not just about the failed diet—it’s the dishonesty, the manipulation, and the constant cycle of selling false hope. When someone uses guilt and insults to push people into buying their plans, while hiding their own failures, it becomes clear that their priority isn’t helping others—it’s making money.

Unqualified horrid man

Unqualified horrid man. His app is shocking, I’ve heard he now tries to sell meal prep containers that you can get in Poundland. He is toxic and horrendous to women. He has a criminal record for crimes against women, and needs stopping. I was blocked for questioning his theory on weight loss. My husband’s a personal trainer, nutritionist and mental health coach and he couldn’t believe it when I showed him this guys TikTok’s and lives about fat shaming women. Funny that it only seems to be women he shames and targets too!!!

I discovered the Meal Prep King through…

I discovered the Meal Prep King through social media and initially considered buying his books - but I was completely put off by the tone and toxicity of his online behaviour. He constantly fat shames, mocks people’s appearances, and pushes an extreme and narrow view of “health” that feels more rooted in control and judgment than actual wellbeing.

Some of his comments — especially about women, pregnancy weight, and so-called “excuses” — are deeply harmful. It’s not motivational, it’s triggering. He often lashes out at people who question him, calling them “snowflakes” and blocking anyone who disagrees. There’s no room for genuine discussion — just ego and aggression.

Although I haven’t used the app myself for these reasons, I’m inviting anyone who has to come forward and share their honest experience. If you’ve tried the Meal Prep King app and have thoughts — good or bad — or screenshots of the content, please send them via DM to @banthemealprepking on Instagram. I will share them anonymously to help inform others and expose what’s really behind the paywall.

There’s also a long-standing thread on Tattle Life (search TMPK) that’s documented his gross, manipulative, and at times downright offensive behaviour since the start of his “influencer” journey.

This isn’t just about an app — it’s about holding people accountable when they profit from others’ insecurities while promoting damaging narratives under the guise of “health.

Shame I can’t give a 0 review

Shame I can’t give a 0 review.
The app is nothing special, recipes are boring and unappealing (to me) TDEE calculator is the same as you can access online for free. The community is “ok”, it’s nothing spectacular like John tries to make out it is. Plus the man himself doesn’t make much of an appearance like he said he would? Seems to MIA a lot :(
I think he’s relying on his members propping it up which isn’t what people are signing up for.
Save your cash and spend it elsewhere!

This is not...

This is not someone you want to support with either time or money. The vile, unsupportive, bully-path he has taken in his career since his wife left him is truly despicable, and his misogyny is rampant.
