The worst auction house in Northern Ireland
Would not accept my absentee bid. Insisted I pay more by bidding live online (yes, I was approved, but Ido not appreciate being ripped off, so I did not bid). I deal with two other more established / better auction house in nI, and am shocked by how bad Mill Auctions are in comparison.
SELLERS BEWARE; they put buyers off, well and truly.
For the avoidance of any doubt of their bad attitude / laziness, here are our email messages in time order;
Me:
Good morning.
If you are able to pack only (so I can get my own courier to collect) or in-house pack and send to me (either for a reasonable fee of course), please accept my bid.
To avoid the internet bidding fee, may I please place an absentee commission bid (NOT an eBay style automated "pre-bid") of £650 for this lot, 371. I would pay by UK bank transfer / debit card. I believe I have bought from you before but can provide ID and proof of address if needed.
Mill:
Good morning ..... The easy way around the internet fee is to pay the one time flat fee of £3.00 and bid online. This avoids a larger premium. We can certainly pack for collection if you win the item. Regards Dawn
Me:
Thanks, but I would rather put the £3 in my daughter's piggy bank
Thanks for accepting my absentee no further fees (other than the basic buyer's fee) buying fees
Mill:
Unfortunately the bid will need to be made online and approved by easylive. They have the address and email connected to multiple accounts. Apologies that we cannot be of any further help at this time. Regards Dawn
Me:
I AM APPROVED TO BID VIA EASYLIVE BUT WILL NOT
PLEASE ACCEPT MY COMMISSION BID
