I recently stayed at The Old Vicarage in Bridgwater for three nights with a friend, and we had such a lovely experience.

The staff were amazing from start to finish. Connor in the bar and Carly in the restaurant were both incredibly attentive and friendly, and they really made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble.

The chef Jenny (amazing!) prepares fantastic home-cooked food and is happy to accommodate requests where possible, which made every meal feel special. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order each morning and was absolutely delicious. Daniel greeted us every morning with a smile and gave great advise on where to go in the area.

Our room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for the stay. The whole team was friendly, helpful, and extremely accommodating. They genuinely can’t do enough for you.

Overall, it was a wonderful stay and I’d happily return. Highly recommend!

To all at the old vicarage hotel, just a note to say a massive thank you to all the staff at the old vicarage hotel in Bridgwater. I stayed with you recently and had a wonderful time. Candy and Peter, you gave me such a warm welcome and Ben the dog 🙂 was happy to say hello too. Rob was lovely, and we chatted at length about history, his and my favourite interest. Wow he knows so much! I also appreciated Peter and Rob showing me round the hotel and explaining the history behind this fabulous building. The accommodation, meals, and hotel facilities were 1st class, so thank you all. The meal service was outstanding as indeed was the food. Forgive me but I cannot remember the ladies name who served me, but she was so warm, friendly, and personable also. I remember chatting till almost late with her and Rob as I had my nightcap, which was wonderful. She was heading off to London for a festival on the day of my departure. These two staff members were so professional I am sure you are so proud of them, so I wanted to let you know how much they made me feel that I was completely at home in their company and conversation.
