Have stayed at this pub several times admittedly not in the last 5 years. I'm disappointed to say that the food has really gone downhill. On my first night's stay I chose a sirloin steak (which un be known to me, I had to pay a £5 supplement on).It was very fatty and chewy and I ended up leaving half of it. 2nd night's stay I ordered venison only to be told they had run out. The breakfasts were not at all hot unfortunately. Also beware of added supplements that the customer is not informed of.

Well cooked food but overpriced, very small portions (except fish & chips), simple with few ingredients, staff not over knowledgeable about menu, kept waiting for service when wanting to order desert. Shame as I think they were trying.

Overpriced for the complacent service received. I would not revisit.

Lovely service, welcoming staff. The best fish and chips ever! Beautifull crispy light batter. Perfectly cooked fish and lovely new potato chips. Fresh minty crushed peas and tartar sauce with lots of capers

Lovely pub and restaurant visited many times. This visit was disappointing though. Quality of the food has deteriorated and prices have gone up. Service was ok but really missed having a house manager. Will think twice about returning.
