Excellent Lebanese wine
I bought the Adventurer box of two Lebanese and two Algerian wines. The latter had sold out, so the vendor explained the substitution and provided a bonus. I'm more than happy with the 2 red and 2 white Lebanese wines supplied (However as a drinker of bad Algerian wine in 1980s France, I look forward to sampling the good Algerian stuff eventually)
Fantastic wine tasting session!
My friends and I had a fantastic time at the Decolonising Wine session. Aghiles is very knowledgeable and made the session very relaxed and fun. The wine we tasted was lovely. We purchased 2 bottles. I would recommend The Other Grape and would attend any future events
Fantastic wine journey begins
Wonderfully packaged, with a great gift and incredible magazine. This envelopes you in the history and life of the Mediterranean. The wines are interesting and thought provoking. Roll on Edition 1. Good value and the care given by Aghi is wonderful
The Other Grape is a fantastic project
The Other Grape is a fantastic project, thanks to Aghile’s attention to detail and careful curation of interesting wines that may be less familiar to UK consumers. They are great to drink, but what makes the experience truly special is the stories that accompany them: of where and how they were made, and the people who dedicate their lives to this craft. I can’t wait to see what The Other Grape does next.
It was very good
Utterly brilliant!
Aghiles & family were utterly brilliant at introducing the wines, guiding us through the tastings and opening our eyes to the fascinating history behind them. A genuine treat and something I’d recommend for anyone with an interest in wine and human beings!
A well curated wine & storytelling…
A well curated wine & storytelling event organised by The Other Grape at the Nunnery Cafe in Bow. Aghiles and Cristina are absolutely knowledgable about the origin and history of the wines they source from Algeria, Lebanon etc but a great fun at the same time. 100% recommending if you want to try yourself or buy this experience as a present! bests
Wine Tasting at Nunnery: GREAT!
We attended a Wine Tasting and it was GREAT! Very good in terms of price-quality. The wine was very nice (we had 5 glasses!), we had some snacks as well, and all the explanations were perfect. We learnt a lot about wine from Algeria and Lebanon while we really enjoyed the experience and the atmosphere. Hugely recommendable!
I cannot recommend The Other Grape…
I cannot recommend The Other Grape highly enough. Outstanding customer service, excellent products.
Wine tasting - Algeria and Lebanon
Attended the venue held at Bow gallery and it was about the wines from Algeria and Lebanon.
It was a small size event (approx. 20 people) and started with a welcoming white wine followed by quiz related to fun and interesting facts of Algerian and Lebanese wine history and culture. Knowledgeable organisers but easy to approach and appreciate the wines. I’d love to attend again.
Superb experience and great wine
I bought an ‘explorer’ pack from The Other Grape and reading their excellent magazine I was compelled to attend one of their ‘Wine and Stories’ evenings. I wasn’t disappointed. Aghiles gave a really insightful talk about the histories behind a variety of different vintages as we tasted then - much of it was linked to his own experience and identity; it was fascinating because it was so genuine and personal.
Hopefully they will do more of these events - and the wine is delicious as well!
Incredible wine and stories
Incredible wine and stories! Could not recommend this experience more.
I love this bespoke and unusual wine company!
I love this bespoke and unusual wine company! Ordered a mixed case of wines from Algeria and Lebanon and really enjoyed trying the wines and reading about their origin and winemakers' stories in the magazine that accompanied the box. The Other Grape also run wine tastings giving the history of the wines alongside some food pairings which is a great way to try the wines in a social environment. All in all, highly recommend. Please support this lovely small business!
Very quick delivery.
Very quick delivery.
Wines excellent - still sampling.
Only minor gripe is the ordering process - I would prefer to make up whole cases (6 or 12 bottles) myself when I know what I want.
I will be back.
Beautiful looking magazine
Photography is great, very interesting articles.
Looking forward to the next issue
Beautiful experience
This was my first wine tasting experience and it has set the bar really high for future events. I really enjoyed the wines, the food that accompanied them, and the rich history behind the wines and vineyards, told by the host. Agi and Cristina (the founders) have a beautiful, friendly aura about them, which made the environment really homely and comfortable for me. The night has enticed me into being more curious about trying and exploring wines that are not as known to the big markets. Would highly recommend attending their events!! :)

I’ve tasted the wine now on several occasions - the wine is delicious
A very enjoyable experience and service
I have now sampled several Algerian and Lebanese wines in a delivery package and at a recent wine tasting event hosted by The Other Grape team. I have also given one of these wines as a gift to my wine-loving aunty, who really enjoyed it. In all instances, the customer experience and the quality of the product have been superb.
I would not call myself a connoisseur of wine, yet the product literature and knowledgeability of the team have helped me to enjoy each distinct wine, to learn about the world of wine production, about the regions and to consider things that I never would have, all whilst sharing the experience with fellow tasters.
I am most grapeful(!) to have discovered The Other Grape :)
Sublime
Wonderfully informative magazine and absolutely delicious wine. A fantastic experience to be able to taste and learn about lesser known wine regions. Delivery was very prompt.
