Appalling customer service. PiHut supplied a faulty raspberry Pi 5 along with case, SDcard with operating system, power supply, and HDMI cable.
Despite providing a video of the board showing 8 fast flashes (SDRam failure) on receipt, they refused to issue a return authorisation until I had attempted to flash the firmware on the board, and re-imaged the OS (which was preinstalled by them on the SD card in my order!).
Customer support takes a minimum of 1 full working day to respond to each an every message so almost a week was wasted before return authorisation was provided. The heatsink (supplied with case) could not be removed from the faulty Pi so replacement for this was requested also.
Wasted 1 more week waiting for the board to be received only to be told that they have run out of stock and issued a refund for the board instead of replacement.
Now I'm left with a power supply, cables, operating system and case with no heatsink. Basically my entire order is useless to me and customer support have ignored my emails for 2 working days.

I ordered a selection of products at the weekend, then the client decided he did not need them. I cancelled the order before payment was taken, but PI Hut said I could not cancel the order (no payment taken, no shipping). I could only return them, this is not acceptable in this day and age). I love the company, but customer service is awful.

Abolutely usesless, Parcel is still sat in evri depot over a week from arriving there.
This Pi Hut response to the reason.
"Vodafone reported outages to both their broadband, 4G and 5G networks, impacting 100’s of thousands of users across the UK. This has also impacted many of our sites and couriers using the same networks. This has also impacted many of our sites and couriers using the same networks, and caused delays to our sorting and processing across the network
These data outages have led to discrepancies within our own reporting and as Vodafone are currently restoring their network we will continue to update our internal systems until we can see the recovery of missing data."
Vodafone was down a few hours 5 days ago they are not still restoring thier service, it is complete lies.
Asked for my money to be returned as I will just order from somewhere that delivers. Thier response:
"I will go ahead and ask for a stop and return. Once this comes back to us we will process your refund.."
So essentially I am being held hostage of my money for a parcel that I never recieved becuase of a messup in thier infrastructure. If this is not bad customer service I dont know what is.
I shall be contacting my bank to report and get funds returned. I am not indefinately waiting for my money.

I had high hopes for Pi Hut as a new customer, but my experience was deeply disappointing. After hours of frustration trying to get a unit to work, I reached out for support and requested a refund. Their response? A brief message saying they wouldn’t accept a return because the headers were soldered—no empathy, no troubleshooting, no goodwill.
I wasn’t just buying a product—I was investing in a relationship. Instead, I got a blunt dismissal. As someone who teaches and mentors others in creative engineering, I value clarity, kindness, and accountability. This wasn’t it.
I won’t be recommending Pi Hut to anyone. If you’re considering them, be aware: once they’ve got your money, you may be on your own. And may I point out that the item they sold me did not match the description, the chip on the module was not the one advertised. And their reply below is just what I expected from someone who clearly does not care at all about their customers.

I recently returned a Pi4 to Pi Hut for warranty claim, they asked to return based on its age it was in warranty, I used an original Pi box from another supplier as it made sense to pack securely and I had it knocking about, upon receiving it back they decided to return is as it was in another companies box. They didn't dispute the item just decided based on the box that this other company should do warranty. I did ask twice if I'd used a cornflakes box would they they have sent me to Kellogg for warranty, they have now replied that it was in another companies box ( the spec on the box didn't even match the returned item, so its obvious they didn't' even check anything ) and very close to end of warranty anyway so not interested.

Good company, but unfortunately I will not be buying from them again until they offer a reasonably priced delivery by someone other than Parcel Force.
Call me old fashioned, but I actually like to receive the goods that I have paid for.
Edit after response: My order (August 2025) from Pi Hut was sent using Parcel Force. I have now reduced the review by one star as you have provided false information in your response and attempted to make it look as if I am lying. For future reference, Parcel Force and Royal Mail have recently merged their operations into a single delivery network

I've used The Pi Hut from time to time to get little parts and RPI components. Just looking at pressure sensor I need for a project and didn't even expect to find it there. Next day delivery is good but I wish they offered DPD which is usually the best delivery option for my location.

I originally ordered a Shelley 1 Mini Gen3 from Amazon, then noticed that the Gen4 was available on Pi Hut. I returned the Gen3.
The price from Pi Hut was reasonable and the ordering, dispatch time and delivery experience were perfect.
In future I will order again from Pi Hut to support small business. I’m planning to build a music streamer when time allows.

Used Before and have been good however this time my sons parcel was sent to the wrong Village let alone the wrong address. I contacted Pi Hut and had no response so after a week contacted again no response, I have since tried again and no response. The fact that there is no other way to contact them other than by their online form I think is awful especially if they don't respond. We have spent days trying to locate the parcel ourselves and have found and retrieved it with no assistance from the company and we had paid for the postage. Will go elsewhere in the future where they can be bothered to answer a customer this is shocking service.

What I found good about the experience of dealing with this company was the fact that when I had a problem I was able to talk , in my case via email , with a real person who quickly responded helpfully. This was most definitely not an ai reply. They made a couple of sensible suggestions to try and when they didn't work immediately arranged for the product to be returned/replaced.

I had to return my product because it didn’t fit my setup. Their response was incredibly fast. They immediately sent me a return label, and as soon as my item arrived at their warehouse, I received my refund right away. The whole process was extremely smooth and efficient. This is a very reliable company, and I’ll definitely come back to them in the future.

Great range of maker prototype stuff, the parts are good quality - not cheap rubbish - and were all really well packed in a very secure & solid parcel, fast delivery & the parts are great value. What's not to like ! Will definitely use again.

Don't order from this company. Card detail wouldn't work on website so tried the next day. Had two orders notified them straight away not to ship out second order.
You are able to return but are charged for delivery cost so minus in your account due to there website issues.
