As someone that works on projects for clients, I sometimes need parts as fast as possible, and PiHut will happily plaster on their website things like this:
Next Day Delivery - order by 2pm* and their shipping page displaying this:
If your order is placed before 2pm (UK Time) Mon-Fri (excluding UK public holidays, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve), we'll do our very best to ensure that it is shipped out to you on the same day.
This needs to be seriously revised, as they consistently never meet these expectations, there is no point even putting them on the website if you consistently do not meet them, the excuse of 'well these aren't guarantees' doesn't run when you fail to meet them ever.
After speaking to their support rep (who coincidently I also spoke to the last time they couldn't deliver on time) I was told it was my responsibility to read the delivery page to understand, even though I was quoting their delivery page to begin with, which I didn't appreciate that kind of response.
I was told, do not order on Mondays if you want your order to go out on Monday, as they are dealing with orders over the weekend, I have never had that experience with any other website, nor is that mentioned on their delivery page. It clearly states 'If your order is placed before 2pm (UK Time) Mon-Fri'.
I ordered well before this time, and was made to feel like it was my own fault for expecting to see it next day, like I hadn't done enough due diligence, when I reviewed their delivery page prior to purchasing.
I feel like it's just a tactic to get you to purchase from them rather than a competitor, similar to how some sites say an item is in stock when it isn't, which at least PiHut haven't fallen that low yet.
I appreciate what their company is trying to do, and I'd love to support them but after forgetting about my prior experience with them and ordering again, I'm saddened to hear nothing has changed and will not be fooled again in the future when I'm looking for a reliable supplier of parts.

I have been getting all my raspberry pis and accessories from them for years and the experience has always been great. My last order had some controllers which didn't work too well. I contacted the support team and was issued a free return code (very easy and no arguing needed to get the code). The refund was processed quickly. I definitely recommend them and I will be buying again from the pi hut.

Have use these guys for a few years but had a problem with Royal Mail delivery being returned to the Pi Hut. They resolved the problem & it was delivered at my next convenient day. It’s when you have a problem you learn how good a supplier is & I’m happy to say they exceeded my expectations (unlike Royal Mail…).

I purchased several items that arrived securely and well packed. The tracking information was lacking and was marked as delivered but not received. But contacting thepihut.com they fastly provided the location of the package (to be picked up at a postal office), and were very nice and helpful.

I can't recommend The Pi Hut enough for their excellent products and exceptional customer service! I recently ordered from them, but due to my own mistake, the package was delivered to the wrong address. Despite the error being on my part, their support team went above and beyond to help me resolve the issue.
A special shoutout to Jayde from The Pi Hut support team, who was incredibly patient, professional, and dedicated throughout the process. Thanks to their efforts, everything was sorted out quickly and smoothly.

I have now reviewed a product twice, with a review that points out a short coming in a Microbit expansion board.
Both reviews have disappeared without trace - no email to query... just don't ever appear. First time, I wondered if it was me. Second time I carefully checked that the review as acknowledged as submitted.
I wish I had known that they do this. It is shady practice. Otherwise the Pi Hut is ok.
So 2 stars. They need to address this - they are better than this sort of tactic.
Edit: it seems that others have also raised this issue on Trustpilot. So Dear Pi Hut... I wonder if there is any response on your product review policies...?

The company do not add VAT to the order for EU destinations. So when the item come, I had to pay VAT and 20€ of fee ! (for an order of 1€)
Run away from this website if you live in EU.

Brilliant customer service. Items are always promptly dispatched and well packaged. I returned an item that I was unable to use yesterday and I have already received a full refund, including the postage I was initially charged. You can’t get better than that.

I've ordered a fair bit from The Pi Hut over the years, never had an issue with anything I've ordered. Until this time. One NVME drive completely non-responsive. Took minutes to arrange a return and replacement, everything went smoothly, and the new drive works like a charm. And all sorted before Christmas!
Absolutely top notch customer service, can't fault them!

Jayde at the Pi-Hut couldn't have done more to help me when my board happened to be faulty. He supplied me with a tracked label for the returns dept and rapidly sent another out for me which was very kind of them.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again with 100% confidence.

Excellent combination of good product range, reasonable prices, fast delivery, good customer service, and specialist knowledge.
The true test of a good company is when things go wrong. In this instance there was a problem with the delivery, most likely caused by the delivery company rather than the Pi Hut themselves. but it was rectified quickly and efficiently.

Exceptional customer service.
I had a missing component from a kit I ordered back in April which I've only just discovered now as I've started building it in December. PiHut had a replacement part sent out via Royal Mail Tracked 24 which arrived the following morning. Over Christmas. Quite astonishing.

Accidentally ordered the wrong one. Need help? Contact customer services who will tell you they cannot change or cancel orders. Now forced to wait until delivery and process refund. Luckily was a test purchase as I am currently designing curriculum. We will be ordering Le Potato for our cohort instead.

I had placed an order for an urgent piece of kit for a project and the parcel has been misplaced (lost) by Royal Mail (not Pi Huts fault at all!). I contacted customer services to enquire about a replacement and they stated they had to wait 10 working days for Royal Mail to mark it as 'missing' before they could send out replacement goods. I made the suggestion that if they could kindly send out another order and if the original turned up then I would cover 100% of the cost to return the original goods in good faith. This was rejected by their support team with no suitable resolution suggested. The project is now overdue and is losing me money.
Why should I spend 200% of the price of the goods to place another order and then wait nearly half a month to get my original money back?

Dreadful customer service, realised and notified immediately that there was a problem with order address and they refused to amend or cancel the order instead dispatching my costly item to a complete stranger. There is no phone number if you beed any support and whilst responsive to mail they are unwilling to do anything - some of the very worst service I've had from a small specialist you would be well advised to shop elsewhere as any issue with your order at all they won't help poking to an obscure help page on their website that orders can't be changed or amended once placed imaging how much worse they would be in a warranty issue avoid avoid avoid
