I appreciate the wide variety of inventory on TRR. And their prices are often more competitive than other luxury resale sites.

However, I have found that their shipping practices and their item listings could use more work.

I recently purchased a Gucci purse and after looking at over 12 of them listed, I settled on one that was in “very good” condition. I triple checked the photos and the description of the issues that made it a “very good” status and was happy. However, when I received it, it was shipped in a large box with no paper or cushioning which allowed the box to be crushed on one side. Thankfully my purchase was ok.

I then inspected it and noticed a crack in the bottom leather seam that had not been described in the listing. I went back to the photos and had to zoom in to see it as there was only one photo of the bottom of the purse. Unfortunately, this was a final sale item so I can’t return it.
I was disappointed because had the description for this purse been accurate, I would not have purchased it.

I think TRR needs to improve their listings because I have found the photos aren’t very clear or good, and the descriptions can be inaccurate and unreliable.

I know that when I purchase an item on TRR I have to assume it may come with issues.

Item was as described and arrived on time, but the box was wrecked when it arrived with the bag hanging out of the side of the box. I took photos. Thankfully the actual bag was in a dust bag so just the dust bag got all scuffed. I would have hoped for better shipping materials for the cost

I purchased a Fendi skirt , listed as being in EXCELLENT condition , (was very expensive )
It arrived and it had marks all over it , and fabric peeling at the waistband . They were fine about sending it back , but I only received $800 refund when the total cost of the skirt with postage from USA was $1080.
Anyway , I’ve just noticed they have relisted the item , for the same high price !!!
Unbelievable…
Not buying from them again as I’ve had this kind of thing happen before , they’re just a nightmare .

I’m extremely disappointed with this purchase from The RealReal. The listing did not disclose that the leather edging of the bag had been repainted.

When I received the bag, the paint along the leather edges was still tacky to the touch and was actually transferring onto the surrounding leather. I took the bag to a professional leather repair shop, where it was confirmed that the edging had been repainted.

What made the experience even more frustrating was my interaction with customer service. When I brought the issue to their attention, I was told that the repainting had been disclosed in the original listing and that I was incorrect. I reviewed the listing, and there was no disclosure that the leather edging had been repainted or refinished.

This is not normal wear or simply a difference of opinion regarding condition. Repainting or refinishing a luxury handbag is a significant alteration that should be clearly disclosed, particularly when the repair itself is deteriorating and causing paint to transfer onto other areas of the bag.

Had this been disclosed, I would not have purchased the bag. Buyers should be able to rely on The RealReal’s condition descriptions and expect customer service to take legitimate concerns seriously rather than dismissing them. Receiving a luxury handbag with undisclosed, tacky edge paint was disappointing enough; being told afterward that it had been disclosed when it had not made the experience even worse.

I feel purposefully misguided and misled with the product I was purchasing. There were not enough images provided of the product and the description did not provide enough information on the product. Based on the wording, description, and information provided by the product I bought aligned with my past experience with this shop, I felt my product was falsely advertised. I will not trust this company with my money anymore.

The jacket I purchased was advertised as large/ extra large and it was obviously a small size. It is non refundable however.

The measurement for the jacket were completely off and the jacket is way too small.

I ordered 2 items. The first is fabulous -- great pair of shoes, just as described.

The second, a pair of pants was said to be grey. Nope -just plain old black. Not worth the hassle to return but a disappointment. Descriptions need to be accurate!!

All purchases have met or exceeded my expectations. Very happy with the fast shipping and accurate descriptions of items.
