Avoid this company at all costs
Avoid ordering from this company at all costs. I ordered a Velux Window from them with delivery to my rental flat, an hour away from where I live. Everything looked fine to start with. I spoke to a helpful woman on the phone to get the sizing of the window right. I then paid and received the invoice via email. But that's when the good experience ended.
They use a company called DSV for delivery and if you check their reviews here on Trust Pilot, you'll see how many 1 star reviews they have. As it was, in my case, I waited in half a day and the window still didn't arrive. The time just kept being put back by an hour on DSV's website, starting with a 13.30-15.30 window that ended up being put back four times until the final window from 17.30- 19.30. I waited in until 19.30 and they still didn't show up. I tried phoning The Roof Window Store, but kept getting the 'no one is available to take your call' message even though it was 4.30 by that point and their phone lines are meant to stay open until 5pm.
I also tried phoning the delivery company, DVS, where a lady answered but she said that they couldn't discuss Velux orders, and that complaints were very common, but that she didn't have any information and that I'd have to email Velux instead, which is ridiculous as Velux didn't process the order. This morning I logged on to see that there's a new delivery of 11.30-13.30 but I can't be there today and I suspect from having read the other DSV reviews that today would be a similar no-show. I've now cancelled my order and will source a window from another company who can and do fulfil their orders.
