Love my bag but leather finish is peeling from shoulder strap. Looks like a piece of junk after a year and was not a daily use bag.

I WAS going to purchase a handbag.. but the only way to get a hold of them is through email. And I emailed them twice and never got a response! So won't be getting my business! I can't do business with a company that won't respond or especially doesn't have a phone number.
Poor Customer Service
(Posting for my wife)
I purchased 3 of their leather purses over several years (2 directly, 1 Amazon). My recent purchase pictured is now on sale for 1/2 the price. It went on sale the same day I received my new purse. I chalked it up to bad luck until a Customer Service Rep wanted feedback on my purchase. So I expressed my disappointment in the length of time it took to receive my purse, plus receiving their sales ad showing the purse at 1/2 price on the same day I received my purse.
While the representative did her best to feign concern, she offered nothing. I wasn’t asking to return the purse or asking for money off my purchase. However, after the Rep contacted me and I voiced my concerns, I expected her to offer at least a small discount off my next purchase. Even their website offers a 20% discount using the spin wheel feature. I now realize this company wants nothing but praise for their products — not honesty. I’ve now made my last purchase from The Sak.
Terrible customer service!
I placed an order from a seeming Canadian site (thesak.ca) and I payed in Canadian funds. I did read that international returns/exchanges would not be be allowed; yet at no time did I feel that this fit for me, as I did not consider myself an international customer, being a Canadian ordering from a Canadian site. Well, guess what? I am an international customer afterall. The bag is a soft leather, pretty colour, but not at all the same purse/bag as in the photos - the customer service manager has not at all been helpful. I am now "stuck" with an almost $200 ugly bag. Not sure, but this feels quite political right now, given the US/Canadian relations due to their President. This is just awful!
My husband spent over $300 on a bag, a crossbody wallet, and traditional matching wallet for my birthday. He never opened the box when it arrived, he just wrapped it so that I wouldn't guess what my gift was. It arrived in mid August and my birthday is just a few weeks later (less than 60 days later) and I contacted The Sak to ask for an exchange since he accidentally bought the wrong color. They refused to call me after the first response email that was a one-liner stating that they do not do any refunds/exchanges past the 30 day mark. THREE HUNDRED dollars later and not one of the three items have been touched more than twice. A reputable company would look at the very recent receipt, purchase order number, and verify the legitimacy of purchase, and then offer something so that said customer would be happy with their purchase. Obviously they don't care that I will NEVER give them another red cent of our hard earned money since customer service is below them. If I could review this matter in the NY Times with a scathing "Absolutely despicable customer service" as the title of my review, I would.
Buyers Beware! #verydisappointedcustomer
The people inside the company are really great to work with and talk to. As a consumer, I think their products are really high quality overall.
