I loved the course can’t wait to do another really really happy with the help and better understanding about mental health

These are my first courses in England. The entire system feels completely new. I applied for the course and, like everyone else, waited for funding, which was thankfully confirmed. I enrolled in the TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Introducing Caring for Children and Young People (RQF). The course also began during my holiday. Overall, the content is presented clearly, with modules logically organised. Studying one topic took quite a while, about two hours. The answers were roughly the same. When you're working, it's really difficult. I knew I had to cover as much as possible during my holiday because I wouldn't have time while working. My answers were checked on time. The first module was sent back for revision, but I passed modules 2 and 3 comfortably. I ran into a problem with the last module. I saved my answers after each question but left a few questions and decided to take a break. When I tried to continue, I found that nothing had been saved. I was incredibly upset because it was a huge effort. I sat down to write the next evening. I double-checked three responses, and suddenly they were gone too. I contacted support, who responded quickly and offered a solution. I was able to finish the course faster, which was great. I already work in a kindergarten, but I wasn't familiar with all the information. Sadly, my company didn't accept the course, but it was a positive experience for me.

Like many others the only thing preventing it from being 5* was the crazy short deadlines.
I had a 2 week holiday during the course which put me behind from module 2 and I never caught up.
I had applied, was waiting 3 months for funding them when it came the timing was just terrible.
That said, great assessor, great training materials and very responsive customer service.
I would use again but I’d be more prepared for how short the deadlines are.

I had a good experience. The course was very informative and the feedback was effective, practical and helpful.

Course material comprehensive and easily accessible, felt supported throughout, deadlines realistic but option for extension if necessary. Will definitely be doing another course when I am able to commit to it fully (after holiday).

I have completed a number of courses now with The Skills Network and have enjoyed the experience immensely. I noticed some reviews stating lack of contact and tight submission deadlines, however I personally did not experience such problems. I did have to extend a couple of deadlines, but the team was super helpful and understanding, and extended the dates with no problems whatsoever. The training material is clear and easy to understand and the feedback provided on your assessments is thorough and constructive.

I signed up for a course a month ago, was advised that they were just waiting on funding, my daughter signed up for the same course after me, lives close to me and she is already part way through the course, I am still waiting to even start!

Three attempts to join a course have been unsuccessful due to a lack of funding in my area. Very disappointed again.

The content of the course was very good, although materials are outdated at times, and somewhat unimaginative, the digital experience could be improved/updated. They encourage self study which is a good thing, but insist on quite descriptive answers to assessments, presumably so they can be more objective when it comes to marking, however this tends not to encourage more critical thinking. I failed a couple of modules which was demotivating as I had not answered incorrectly, but not in the way they wanted. It's a pity because by the time I got approval for doing the course, I was already behind, and could never catch up so I dropped out, and then have to pay £100 (I was made aware of this but why don't they allow people to continue with the course when they pay the £100?). Altogether a demotivating experience and they could improve their channels of communication as I had messages from various different providers and different people who did not seem to communicate with each other. Overall, poor communication but suddenly excellent communication when it comes to collecting debt.

I am pleased with the feedback I received from my my assessor. The feedback has encouraged me to continue writing in my own words, while still keeping an academic structure.

Waste of time. They do not specify/advertise the regional eligibility when completing eligibility form/pre-entrollment. They just want to collect your data and reject you afterwards.

I did TQUK Level 2 Certificate in the principles of the mental health worker. This was a great course to participate in and would definitely recommend it. It covers a variety of useful topics which are helpful for anyone wanting to work in the mental health sector. The course is challenging and great.
The team at skills network are also amazing. They are friendly and professional and are ready to help if you need them. My tutor was amazing and always provided me with great feedback which i found very helpful and resourceful. She inspired me with her feedback.
Overall i had a great experience and the course was packed with information. Some outdated links but that was it from my experience.
Would recommend to others and i would definitely take another course with you too.
Thanks skills network

I was really disappointed in the fact that I was ready and prepared to start my course in Principles of End of Life Care Level2. I'd waited several weeks to get the email to get me started. Instead of starting the course they tell me they could not get funds in my area for me to begin. I got an apology, and got the option of purchasing the course. I live in Birmingham, surely funding would be available for such a big city.

The course I studied was the Principles of Business Administration, a very interesting course to understand the rules and in and puts of starts your own business, understand the legality in UK and how to manage to keep basic admin procedures in order to run a Business.
the team on the Skills Network was very supportive and encouraging to keep going on the course, in my case was a little challenging because I did it on the same time I start my training as a Bus Driver here in Glasgow and has to cover 8 hours shifts on top of my family obligations with two kids on school age, I can only be grateful of all the support the team provide to finish the course.

Studied the Level 2 Certificate in understanding Mental Health First Aid and Mental Health Advocacy in the workplace. From the start the support was great, responded to emails within a couple of days. The tutor feedback was comprehensive, valuable and relevant. The course content made you really think and as the questions asked for personal experiences, it helped me put things into perspective. The only slight issue is that some of the links are out of date as the pages are no longer available or you have to sign up to see the content. But given the chance would study with The Skills Network again.

Really enjoyed doing the Certificate in Digital Marketing. There was lots of information and I found my tutor/assessor excellent - lots of really helpful feedback. Will be busy putting it all into practice otherwise I would certainly consider doing another course with the Skills Network.
