We recently sold our house

We recently sold our house through Ben at The Small Holding Centre and genuinely could not have asked for a better estate agent.

From our first meeting through to completion, Ben was professional, honest, realistic and incredibly supportive throughout the entire process. What set him apart was that he always gave straightforward advice and realistic expectations rather than simply telling us what we wanted to hear. His knowledge of the market, attention to detail and clear communication meant we always felt informed and confident in the decisions we were making.

Having spent a considerable amount of time viewing properties and dealing with numerous estate agents whilst searching for our next home, we can honestly say that the difference in service was remarkable. Many agents we encountered were difficult to contact, lacked local knowledge or simply seemed interested in securing a sale. Ben, on the other hand, was proactive, responsive and genuinely invested in achieving the best outcome for everyone involved.

What impressed us even more was that, having spoken with our buyers, they experienced exactly the same high level of service that we did. They also commented on Ben's professionalism, communication and willingness to go the extra mile throughout the transaction. It is rare to find an estate agent who leaves both seller and buyer feeling so positive about the process.

Selling a house can be stressful, but Ben made everything run as smoothly as possible and was always available to answer questions, solve problems and keep things moving forward. His honesty, integrity and customer service are a credit to both him and The Small Holding Centre.

We would not hesitate to recommend Ben to anyone looking to buy or sell a property. If all estate agents operated to the same standard, the industry would have a much better reputation.

Thank you, Ben

Not helpful where the property is mixed residential and agricultural

I bought and sold through the Smallholding Centre. I was satisfied with the way the purchase and the subsequent sale was managed but following the sale I needed separate valuations of the land and buildings for capital gains tax calculations. I understand that the Smallholding Centre is under no obligation to provide these valuations, however, they were well placed to do so but completely unhelpful in this situation. I would not recommend them for any sale or purchase of a mixed residential and agricultural property where the separation of values may be needed.

Reply from The Smallholding Centre

Mr Hunter is a very impatient individual who expects everybody to jump when he tells them to jump and when you dont jump as fast as he would like he threatens you with a Formal Complaint and throws his toys out of the pram and then of course, as witnessed here, "weaponises" the review system to get his own way because nobody will pick up his toys for him . We did offer to provide the required valuations for CGT purposes but due to his impatience he decided to get them done elsewhere and then when other agents wouldn't do them for him he came back to us complaining why we hadn't done them .......duh ! Oh dear oh dear !

Highly recommend

We cannot recommend the smallholding centre highly enough.
From the 1st phone call to actually getting the keys to our new property they have gone above and beyond to be helpful & recommend surveyors etc.
We did try other agents but the smallholding centre were by far the most helpful & approachable.
If we ever want to sell or buy property we will be going to the smallholding centre team.
Highly recommend them.
