We take on board the returns feedback - as we offer free shipping on the vast majority of orders, we're limited on free returns - however, please note that we will always help with information / measurements pre-sale to try and minimise the need to return items. We are also looking into a returns portal that would make returns easier and minimise costs - this is work in progress but we're hoping to get it up and running soon.

Packging needs some quality Controlling
The item was as discription told, normal delivery time and good communication, but the packaging itself was near to desaster, because of no straps and a special packaging layout like a amazon typed envelope, so the item stucks out of the closed pack by levy.

Next day delivery means maybe 2-3 days…
Next day delivery means maybe 2-3 days late "but no guarantees" according to customer service.
I ordered a backpack on Sunday that was needed for travel and chose next day delivery... I expected it to be dispatched on Monday and arrive on Tuesday
Today is Tuesday and Royal Mail tracking shows that they've not even received the package yet
I called customer service and they said it "might come tomorrow (Wednesday/3 days after order) but no guarantees"
I will be travelling soon and don't have the backpack, and also can't order from another company just incase this one does arrive, waste of time

We definitely understand your frustration and disappointment in this situation, please know that we feel the same as the courier has let us both down.
From our view, we have shipped this out on time and passed this to the courier within 24 hours of placing the order and sent this on a next day service. It is then down to Royal Mail to fufill their side of the contract.
We do not want to make any false promises here, and we have advised that this will hopefully come tomorrow, we are sorry that we couldn't be more definite in this situation.

Good company let down by dated and awkward returns system
I like The Sporting Lodge. It has some good bargains and a speedy delivery service. But, it's let down by its return service. As it tends to use Royal Mail/The Post Office, the opportunities for those of us who work to find, let alone attend, a Post Office are few. Most have closed down or are open odd temporary hours during the working day. Other delivery agents (Evrie, DPD, etc. ) have multiple, easily located parcelshops or drop-off points almost everywhere, even in rural areas such as the one in which I live, which makes returning a relatively simple process, and they provide easily printable return lables of QR code. An on-line retailer in the 21 Century needs a better return system than that currently employed by TSL.

do not buy from this company! terrible customer service and follow up. paid for a $200 jacket i never received . have requested a refund twice with no response to that inquiry. paid extra for 3 day delivery and it's going on a month now...NO JACKET , NO REFUND. asked eBay to intervene and they were worthless. i'd stay clear of this company unless you intend to get ripped off.

Hi Steven, your order was lost in transit by the courier. We did not issue an immediate refund as we raised an enquiry with the courier and had to wait for them to come back and confirm that the parcel could not be located. Occasionally deliveries can be delayed if they are held in customs etc, so we needed to find out what the situation was. We do apologise for the delay but you have since been refunded in full - we would never retain payment once it was confirmed that a parcel had been lost in transit.
