I’m Kevin, a teacher here in California since 2008, and what a shift this past year has been. I joined the Teacher Project back in February 2023, and seven months later got my first students — but that was just the beginning. I’m proving to myself every day that group online tutoring is absolutely possible, and my business is working.
What’s made all the difference is my coach. Matt has a way of seeing straight into the places I get stuck — places I didn’t even see myself — and giving me the feedback that matters. When he told me I was working on my business but not in it, I had a huge a-ha moment. It hit me that I didn’t have to wait until I had 20 students to build a team. I could start with 10. That changed everything.
The Denver event really unlocked something too. I saw that others were building systems, treating their tutoring not just as tutoring but as a business, as an enterprise with a crew — and they were working smarter, not harder. That was a paradigm shift for me. I’m no longer trying to fly the plane alone; I’m the person in the control tower now.
There’s something about this community — the coaches, the other tutors, everyone in the Teacher Project — that is so powerful. It makes me believe this business can grow beyond just me. I’m excited to hire teachers, expand, and multiply my efforts.
If you’re wondering what’s possible, let me just say: it’s easier than you think, and you don’t have to do it alone.
I’m still going. I’m still proving to myself that I can build this, even through slow seasons and momentum dips. One of my students just signed up for a whole year with me. That feels amazing.
So yeah — thank you, Matt, for helping me see what was right in front of me. And for anyone on the fence, trust the process. You’re closer than you think.

Having given really deliberate consideration and much research, I decided to embark on this costly programme believing it would ultimately enable me to build a useful avenue of additional income.
The positives: this really is an extremely comprehensive programme which takes you through in detail all the critical components to launching an on-line tutoring business. There is an excellent community of experts to call upon and plenty of positive and engaged participants to leverage off. My coach, Zach, was fantastic; supportive and very personable.
The negatives: This programme is extremely pricey and the price mark is way too excessive. There are also way too many hidden aspects that are not clearly highlighted at the point of signing up to the programme. Although there are UK based participants, this is 100% a USA run programme. All calls relating to Sales and Marketing are conducted in the U.S and the timings of those are more or less not compatible with people like myself who are full time teachers as the calls would clash when I was teaching or were far too late U.K time to participate in. There are recordings of the calls available. However one of my biggest constant issues was time. I was constantly being told I needed to dedicate the time to do all the necessary elements to be successful from creating and constantly improving Ads to tracking (importantly you will spend a lot of money advertising your ads on Facebook before you start to see actual income through Sales) and reaching out to prospects and make the necessary progress with the programme. Unfortunately I really struggled to combine a full time teaching job with this programme. Another extremely challenging element is the multifaceted technical component. Effectively setting up multiple challenging technical platforms and synching them all so everything is seamless and productive is no mean fest. Yes, there is really good technical support available but I really felt this aspect of the programme is a HUGE ask to manage successfully, again if you are already working as a full time teacher.
After almost 6 months, I was granted a two month extension for which I was extremely grateful, I ultimately came to the conclusion that I simply did not have the capacity to really engage with this programme and sadly, I decided to withdraw. I have never dropped out of any programme so this was a first but I really needed to consider my mental well being. I ultimately realised that I simply did not have the band width to do my teaching job and this programme simultaneously and effectively.
In conclusion, I have taken much from this experience and I may indeed return to the essence of being an online tutor when I'm less time poor. The materials I required could well be useful in the future. Anyone considering engaging with this programme must be full abreast of all its varying demands. I salute all those who have been extremely successful but I'd question if they managed to achieve this whilst working as a full-time classroom secondary school teacher too? Good luck to those who do decide to sign up for the programme as you too could be one of the success stories :-)

My experience was absolutely phenomenal. I learned a lot--from spinning on my wheels and not knowing what to do to getting the guidance and direction as I build my business. Hanford, my coach is awesome!! He was very encouraging to me throughout my business building journey. A lot of the pain points I had at the beginning have now been resolved. It is refreshing to know that there is a community support where I was able to glean from a lot of the replays to add to what I already discovered in my business journey. The ad clinics were super great because I gained a lot of insight that I didn't have before the call. Now, I have gained the advantage of knowing how to talk to my leads to get them to book in for a call whereas before I was not able to do so. The tracker helps me to see how my ad is performing and where I need to improve in order to gain more clients.

My coach, Jessie, has been amazing! She’s worked with me consistently through both text and Zoom meetings, making sure the advertisement and offer I was sending out organically to various groups was perfect. Thanks to her help, I’ve already had three students sign up for my program—and I’ve only been in business for two weeks. I can’t thank her enough for all of her support.

I’ve been part of The Teacher Project for two years now, and the growth I’ve experienced — both personally and professionally — is hard to overstate.
When I first joined, I was a committed teacher with a strong work ethic, but my thinking wasn’t yet entrepreneurial. Through this journey, I’ve developed not just a business, but a vision — one that now includes a team of tutors and support staff, systems that are scalable, and a business that reflects the life I want to build for my family.
One of the biggest shifts has been in how I think. I’ve gone from being a solo operator to learning how to lead others, how to plan strategically, and how to make decisions not just for today, but for the long term. I now have the freedom to shape my time — not to work less, but to work intentionally, so I don’t miss the most important moments with my wife and son. I’m not just chasing wealth; I’m building a life. And that wealth — now at consistent £10k+ months and growing toward £20k+ — is simply the means to create the life I truly want.
The recent live event in Denver was a turning point. Being surrounded by like-minded educators, entrepreneurs, and real leaders — people who get it — gave me clarity, drive, and deeper purpose. It reminded me that this isn’t a sprint. It’s a marathon. And it’s worth it.
In a world obsessed with shortcuts and instant results, The Teacher Project teaches you what it really takes: purpose, resilience, leadership, and the willingness to fail forward. If you’re looking for a quick win, this isn’t for you. But if you care about doing meaningful work, growing a real business, and being part of a community that will both challenge and support you — then there’s nowhere better.
Above all, what I value most about this community is the people. You’re not alone. You’re surrounded by individuals who are on the same journey — people who will make you better, push you, hold up the mirror, and remind you why you started.
This experience has changed the way I work, the way I lead, and the way I live. And I wouldn’t trade that for anything!

The last four months with The Teacher Project have been nothing short of invaluable for my growth as an educator and entrepreneur.
While I haven’t made sales yet, I can confidently say the knowledge, mindset shifts, and skills I’ve gained during this journey are priceless. The coaching, resources, and community support have given me a clear roadmap and the confidence to stay consistent.
One of the highlights for me has been seeing my name at the top of the leaderboard for the last 30 days and ranking in the Top 7 of all time within the community. It shows that with the right focus, effort, and commitment, progress is inevitable — even before the results become visible financially.
The Teacher Project isn’t just about sales — it’s about building the foundation for a sustainable education business, growing personally, and connecting with a network of like-minded, driven educators. I know the results will come — and I’m grateful to be part of a space where success is measured by learning, consistency, and showing up.
To anyone considering joining — this community will challenge you, stretch you, and equip you with everything you need to succeed in today’s education space.

Zach has been such a supportive and grounding presence throughout this whirlwind of a programme. I'm truly grateful to have him as my coach his calm energy makes all the difference

I’ve been with The Teacher Project since August 2024 and honestly, it didn’t start off smooth. As someone working full-time on the West Coast, I had a hard time making the live sessions, which were mostly scheduled for other time zones. I missed out on a lot in the beginning, and it felt frustrating. But once I spoke up and shared what I was struggling with, I felt heard and supported.
The coaches have been incredible. They’ve shown up consistently with guidance, feedback, and patience while I figured things out. I’ve learned how to run Facebook ads, build a parent community, manage a CRM, and take and close sales calls. All skills I had zero experience with before. Now I have paying students, I know how to follow up with leads, and I feel more confident running the business side of things.
What I appreciate most is that it never felt like I was just a number. The program is structured really well, the coaches genuinely care about our progress, and the whole vibe is supportive and encouraging. My one to one coaches, Kent and Zach, especially, have been key in helping me stay focused and not give up.
I’m so grateful I stuck with it. This program has taught me a lot and has helped me grow in ways I didn’t expect. If you’re an educator looking to build something of your own, this is a great place to start.

I've just returned from another phenomenal live experience with the Teacher Project.
It's rare to find a group of people who don't just understand what you do for work, but also challenge and coach you as a person.
Where you feel both supported and challenged, and learn more about yourself as a result.
I think that they've created this environment because all of them are ex-teachers themselves: caring, supportive people who now seek to support the growth of others in the online teaching space.
I'd highly recommend them if you are looking to either start or build an online tutoring business.

Since joining the teacher project, I have had so much support. My coach, Katie, is always one message away from helping me. The team have been so encouraging and have broken down each step so that it is achievable. I am enjoying my journey in building my business with them.

I was feeling really nervous about starting my journey as a tutor and was battling a lot of self-doubt. However, working through the first two steps of the program has given me such a boost of confidence. It helped me gain clarity on what I want to deliver and how I want to deliver it. For the first time, I feel aligned and sure of the direction I’m taking. This has made a huge difference in my mindset, and I’m now feeling genuinely excited about this journey into tutoring. Thank you, Teachers on Demand, for helping me find my footing and believe in myself.

Katie has been an amazing mentor to not only be a guide, but to also value me as a person. She sees my business and wants to help me grow in ways I never thought were possible. I’m honestly blown away with the support of this program.

I really wish I would have found the teacher project 2 yrs sooner than I did.
The community has been so supportive and all the information you get to help you succeed is priceless.
I also can't say enough about the live event that I went to in Denver, CO. It's a game changer.
This is where future education is going and so happy I found the teacher project and all the awesome coaches and staff who are so willing to help in all different types of situations. Just ask.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Teacher Project has been a game-changer for me.
As someone with 25+ years of teaching experience, I didn’t think I needed “another course” — but this program completely shifted how I think about my tutoring business.
The support, structure, and real-world strategies helped me finally take action and launch my offer online. From building my brand to crafting ads that actually convert, they guided me every step of the way.
But the best part? The community. It’s real, generous, and genuinely invested in your success.
If you’re a teacher ready to grow not just as an educator, but as a business owner, I can’t recommend The Teacher Project enough.
Thank you for helping me believe in what I offer — and how far it can go. 💛

The upfront investment was a lot... but I spent half of that on ads last fall and got just about nothing out of it. And it is an investment, because if you back yourself you will easily make that money back sooner than later. Robert was great from his first message until the last minute of our last call, adding value for me and my path the entire time. The Teacher Project people in general were great! Even when things didn't go perfectly, they went out of their way to make it right and solve the problems, logistical, tech, etc.

Amazing experience so far …. Glad I came on board still a lot to learn but an amazing exciting journey so far

My experience with The Teacher Project has been amazing so far. I've only been working with them for a little over two weeks, but I've already set up my business for success with so much automation that I barely have to think about it, *and* made my first two sales! The support from them has been nothing short of fabulous, and the best part is how much I'm LEARNING. I know that when I finish their program, I will be prepared to continue working and growing my business on my own without their help, because of the sheer amount of information and support they're giving me. If you sign up, be prepared to dive in deep and work hard if you want the full benefits of this program, though. I am getting so much out of it, because I'm putting in so much effort. I go through the modules daily, I attend trainings and support calls, I listen and actually take the advice of my coach, and I lean on the community for help when I need it. I can't wait to see how far I can soar with the help of the Teacher Project!

So far this has been a great experience. I have done several online Masters Degree programs and I think this program is even superior to those. Prior to starting I was really anxious about how to start in the tutoring business, all I knew was the teaching aspect. Learning the marketing and behind the scenes set up has been really beneficial. It is a very supportive community and everyone is valued and respected. My coach hears and understands my challenges and strengths. So far gaining the confidence to put myself out there has been huge. The support and encouragement has been amazing. I am excited to begin booking calls with potential students and finding ways to help them improve their drawing skills!

Im currently in my 10th week of the program. I have 15 students, have collected £3,000 within 40 days of starting advertising, and have officially handed in my notice to quit my part time tutoring job!
Over a month ago, I expanded my plan to go into the Impact program, which has been really helpful in terms of building systems and automations to free up my time, and help me work on the business, as opposed to work in the business.
They even provide you with pre-made spreadsheets to help you get a really good understanding of every little detail that goes on in your business, and the exact parts that you need to focus your efforts on.
As always, I’m really enjoying my coaching hours with Nigel, and have made use of the useful weekly clinics with Ollie, Rob and Elliot. Since joining Impact, I’ve also attended Doulton’s clinic, and she’s helped my realign my vision, and guide me on what work needs to be done to take me to the next level. Thank you everyone at TTP!

My experience with my coach (Hanford) is fruitful because of his super patience to navigate with me through the difficult steps and procedures set on the TeacherProject videos/softwares. So far I have been satisfied with his help.
Indeed, this company is exemplary in term of the teaching standards set for instructors' effectiveness, and the learning benchmarks tailored for students' success. But, the complexity and the rigor of the teachers' training program require commitment and sacrifice to complete it. The good thing is that there are many good coaches like Hanford standing in line and being ready to help new teachers who are not familiar with the softwares. Great Company!
