Advertised 90-day refunds, then required international return shipping

I purchased two products from Tekko and initially had no problem with the company. The issue started when I tried to use their published return policy.

Tekko’s Refund & Resolution Policy stated that customers had 90 days from delivery to return an item for a full refund, including for change of mind or preference changes, and even said “No questions asked.”

When I requested a return, I was first told that refunds could only be processed for products that were faulty. After I pointed out their own published policy, I was offered a 30% refund to keep the product, then a 50% refund to keep it.

When I continued requesting a full return and refund, I was eventually given a return address in the Philippines and told that I would be responsible for the international return shipping. I could not find anything in the refund policy I was shown at the time of purchase disclosing that customers using the advertised 90-day return policy would have to pay international return shipping to the Philippines.

I financed the purchases through Affirm and disputed both transactions. One dispute was resolved in my favor and refunded. The Tekko One dispute was not; Affirm stated that there was insufficient evidence from the customer and/or merchant. I paid off that remaining balance, and I am still seeking to return the Tekko One for the $114.86 refund.

My biggest issue is not simply that I changed my mind about a product. It is that the return process I actually encountered was very different from the straightforward “90 days,” “full refund,” and “no questions asked” policy that was advertised.

I would strongly recommend that anyone considering purchasing from Tekko read and save a copy of the refund policy before ordering and be aware that my return instructions required shipping the product internationally at my expense.

They will try to scam you!

Ordered their only product (which is not worth almost 70€ at all), their own refund policy states that "a full refund is avaliable - including change of mind or preference changes (within 90 days of delivery)" yet, when I asked for a full refund and help returning the items, I was told refunds are only for damaged or not working items.
