TOPVILLAS RUINED OUR VACTION - SEE PICS ON TRIP ADVISOR -Terrible customer service, value for money, customer communications, solution resolution, facilities, user experience, cleanliness, maintenance

Having issues arise is bad enough when you are on a family vacation that is meant to be relaxing. However, having to be on the phone with Top Villas day and night was an absolute nightmare! Promises everyday that the issues would be resolved, just for another day to come and go with no resolution. Meaning, having to call again the following day, and so on and so forth. Like a bad version of Groundhog Day.

COST for 12 Nights $12,054.40 cad
8 Nights at one Villa and the remaining 4 nights in another Villa - 2 different Top Villa Resort locations.

Issues at Reunion Resort:
1. Filthy bedding. Called EVERY DAY MORNING AND NIGHT. They FINALLY changed the dirty bedding 1 day before our departure. Disgusting.
2. Tap water stunk like sewer. (Reunion Resort)
3. Drainage issues in showers and sinks (Reunion)
4. Dirty and slimy walk in shower (likely due to drainage issue).
5.Nails sticking out of carpet, threshold between master bedroom and Ensuite, poked holes in my foot a few times causing bleeding. (ISSUE NEVER RESOLVED UPON REQUEST)

Dirty Pools in both locations.

Windsor Island Resort:
No heat in Pool, called every day but they did not turn on until our last day there. My 2 small children (4 & 5) were very upset that the water was too cold to swim in most of our stay.

Repeated communication for my friend to be allowed on site (It was only myself and my husband and our 2 small boys - at a house that sleeps 16). They "added my friend to our list to be allowed in (she and her daughter were coming for a day visit as they were staying at another resort). Another nightmare. Would not let her in. Had to call and email and get it sorted, while they waited at the front gate for almost 2 hours.
Last day, I told her to drop over and pick up our food and supplies that we still had left as we were leaving in the morning, yet again, security would not let her in. Not even for 5 minutes. My husband had to unpack our SUV, pack it with the supplies, and drive to the gate to load it into her car.
REDICULOUS.

I understand that sometimes issues may arise while on vacation. But how the property management handles issues is everything. It can turn your vacation into a nightmare. No one wants to spend every day sending emails and calling morning, noon and night to try and get issues addressed.

TOP VILLAS is an absolute terrible property management company to deal with.
What a waste of $12,000 FOR a 12 Night stay for our family of 4.

Save yourself the stress and the nightmare of renting from a property management company who could care less about issues or making their customers happy.

UPDATE:

After TOP VILLAS left a response to my review, they misinformed the public by stating the only correspondence they had was the pool issue. After sending them an email stating I had over 20 emails and countless phone records showing our calls/emails on a daily basis, they retracted that part of their response.
Furthermore, I find their response quite insulting. They place blame elsewhere and take no responsibility for the poor service, stating in their response below "Resort policies regarding guest access are set and enforced on-site by resort security, and unfortunately are outside of Top Villas’ control". Another inaccuracy. Security needed Top Villas to provide them with the "list" of visitors they were supposed to have already had on file, which was a nightmare as this was not done even after multiple requests and conversations with Top Villas.
They have offered me a 10% refund on our stay (if I delete my review), another insult. With having so many issues and having to spend every day of our vacation trying to get things resolved, I would rather NOT take the "10%" if it means saving another family (or families) from having their vacation RUINED dealing with Top Villas.

As the travel agent, Top Villas acts as an intermediary between guests and the property management company responsible for the on-site operation of the villa and resort. Operational matters are managed on-site by the property team and resort staff.

Our records show that the issues reported to Top Villas during your stay were passed to the Property Management Team for action. The pool is scheduled for weekly cleaning and this was carried out during your stay, however we apologise if you would have preferred this service sooner in your stay. The pool heating concern was addressed and refunded on April 2nd. Nevertheless, we are sincerely sorry for any impact these matters had on your experience.

A 10–15% “management discount” is not something offered by Top Villas. It therefore appears this may have been discussed directly with the property management team rather than through us.

Resort policies regarding guest access are set and enforced on-site by resort security, and unfortunately are outside of Top Villas’ control, although we always assist where possible.

All homes receive a professional housekeeping service prior to arrival. We are sorry to hear of your concerns regarding cleanliness and bedding, and we will raise these again with the property management team as part of our investigation.

We will review all of your concerns with the relevant parties and work towards a fair resolution, and we will be in touch with you directly once this has been progressed.

Top Villas was great to work with.
However the one problem I found was the cleaners don't pay much attention to some details when cleaning. We booked through Top Villas for Windsor Hills resort in Kissimmee. I love the staff at Top Villas. We had an issue with our lock box and door code and the lady I dealt with at Top Villas was immediately on the problem. And got it fixed right away. Booking with them was also pretty simple and I paid over time. This made our experience so much better and less stressful. I just wish they had more places to book in. Like New Hampshire, Virginia. Places like that.
