Overpriced mediocre chocolate.

Overpriced mediocre chocolate.

I recently received a box of chocolates from this company as a gift from someone who likes to send unique vegan sweet gifts to me. Whilst the box of chocolates looked amazing, the taste was anything but. The company website states 'we value flavour over fuss' - a hilarious statement given how much effort must go into making something look so fancy when the chocolate itself is the poorest quality I've tried.

The dark chocolate was passable but the 'milk' and white chocolate tasted much like the cheapest, most rubbish supermarket own brand 'free from' chocolate - the sort I avoid giving to non-vegans because they'll think all vegan chocolate is that awful.

In addition, the box arrived with absolutely no information on the weight of the contents or the ingredients - something I'm sure the local Trading Standards would be keen to investigate.

So in order to check for allergen information, you have to go on the website and trawl all the products to find the right one and check the ingredients. And that's when you discover that your friend could have bought the same quantity of similar quality chocolate from a supermarket for £7-£8 instead of paying £34 + £3.99 postage.
