The Van Club 

Cancelled 1.5 hours before arrival. Completely messed up our moving plans. Appalling. No one picks up the phone either. I kept checking online if this is some sort of fraud website.

Service cancelled 12 hours before moving home. Poor service, poor communication.

Driver demanded more money than the quoted price. I refused. The driver refused to come to pick the stuff up. Phoned the company, they asked if I wanted to rebook!?! Was promised a refund of the deposit, which didnt materialise, had to go through my bank and they refunded me. Don't know if they got the money back from The Van Club.

If I can choose 0 I will do so. I am in durham and decided to move at 13:00, 3rd Sep, 2018. I booked the van on 21st Aug, and received a text massage claimed my van has been booked. At the day of my moving, I first received a phone call from staff confirming things I need to move around 11:00~ish. Then we (two girls) moved everything outside and later on at 13:00, the staff called my back said there is no van available at that time. That's $#%%#$%! We finally have to choose to move at 18:00 that day because we have to, and we moved things back because outside is raining.

Also, if you trying to contact them by phone call, they will never reply. I tried to call them at least 10 times, none of my phone calls being accepted. I tried to ask them via webpage using my university mail box, the website judged my massage to be spam. I finally emailed them, but didn't got any reply until three days later, and the staff called me via phone call. Such a stupid website. Trying to contact your local van driver. The 1/3 of the prepaid money will be hold by the website, and the money you paid by cash is exactly the amount the drivers could got.

I asked the van club to provide me with a man and van able to transport a dismantled shed 12ft x 8ft and very heavy. despite my misgivings I was informed a Luton would do the job, I confirmed the measurements with 'Rudi' and they still said a Luton will do.at 4.46pm the day before they rang to tell me that they couldn't do the job in the morning but would be able to do it at 1pm. Leaving it so late in the day left me with no option but to agree, even though they offered a refund. Once I agreed they informed me there would be an additional payment required as this would be a two man team!.

Around 12 the next day told that they were running late and would be there at 1.30. Finally turned up at 1.45 ish. The fellas that actually turned up were the one redeeming factor in this story. hard working and willing to give it a go but basically told me it would not fit, confirming my suspicions. They then left.

I have asked Rudi for a refund of my deposit several times and I am absolutely ignored.

We are a charity with very little money and the shed had been donated to help us store stuff as we cannot afford to by a new shed given that the existing shed is falling apart.

So in short, thanks Rudi, we have now lost the shed and you have not given us our deposit back. I wouldn't trust this organisation ever again with anything. As I said earlier, this is no reflection on the guys that actually turned up to do the job - they were very good.

An update to my review 12.08.18 found a removals company at the last moment who were brilliant. If you want a job doing properly try Jason at the Recycled Assets Company (TRACOuk). No messing around just straight forward prompt, good service

Easy to organise the move we needed, the price was cheap and the driver was on time, very polite, careful and professional and sorted everything out moving all the furniture. Everything happened so smoothly , I wouldn't hesitate in recommending or using this service again. Top Marks!

Great Service and friendly staff, I had such a short time to move and specific time and they were able to accommodate all my needs, I absolutely would recommend to everyone especially their prices are very competitive if not the cheapest.

A very good experience all round! First point of contact was Jason who took basic details of what was required (moving my daughter and friend out of their rented house in East London back to their homes in SW London) and instantly gave me a fixed quote - unbelievably reasonable. No demands to itemise everything being moved and no quibbles about having two different drop-off addresses - all very helpful and accommodating compared with all the other companies I'd tried. Richard, their driver was punctual, helpful, friendly, courteous - everything you could possible want. The move went flawlessly and the girls and I are very happy!

Called at 9 in the morning and the driver was with me the same day by 12! Amazing!

From my first point of contact with the Van club and my driver Zoltan what a professional service. Nothing was too much for Zoltan. The price for their service EXTREMELY reasonable.

I would highly recommend I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
