Having recently kerb’d my Audi. Which, despite being 9 years old had wheels in almost new condition. I reached out to a friend who recommended The Wheel Specialist -Leeds branch. I phoned initially and spoke with Stephie, and arranged to take my car to have a look at the workshop and discuss my options. My first impressions were very good with all staff pleasant and professional. There are not many companies where the whole team are knowledgeable on all aspects of the processes, it was explained in plain easy to understand that my wheels would be checked for trueness, tyres removed, wheels chemically stripped, blasted, powder coated with base colour , diamond cut to remove the damage then anti-corrosion coated and then gloss top layer. Tyres refitted and balanced. I booked my 2 loose wheels in as it was my preferred option , I took some before pictures. I dropped my wheels off on the Tuesday morning and was told they would be ready the afternoon on the following day. Wow, is the only way to describe the look of the wheels. They are above all my expectations, and that is with my ocd. I have placed the wheels side byside with the originals and i can honestly say i cannot tell which ones are which. The finish is that good. The colour match is perfect, even down to the metallic flakes. Thank you to all at the Leeds branch and I cannot recommend this team highly enough. Second time I have used the Wheel Specialist and I am impressed with tge service and delighted with tge results.
Diamond cut alloy wheel re-furbishment and it’s not just good, it’s perfect.
Nothing is too much trouble for these guys. I highly recomnend for service, value and quality.

this company are superb.their attitude towards their customers is second to none.
they helped me out by lending me some wheel so as i could continue using my car whilst they had my wheels.the restoration was outstanding and their customer service was superb.
i will nave no hesitation on giving their name to all my friends .
i owned a garage for 40 years and so customer service is paramount and they excelled in that.

Hi this is an honest review about a four-wheel diamond cut refurbishment I received at “The Alloy Wheel Specialist” Cramlington.

Good
Staff very polite and professional (especially office staff)
The wheels after refurbishment looked class. Excellent work great finished look.
Original pricing fair and reflected the usual for the area of NE England

Not so Good
Many hidden costs that I was not aware of at the time of booking in.
The diamond cut could not be completed without straightening out buckles in three of the wheels.
All four-wheel valves had to be cut out and then replaced with new.
This added a further £320 on top of £480 diamond cut price.
This may not happen to everyone. However, the possibility it may be required should be informed to the customer before work begins.
The Air pressure was not reset
Each wheel had different air pressure. I had to sort that myself.

Room for Improvement
The car could have had a simple wash down after work was complete. (For example, the Caliber’s given a quick wipe down.
Formal handing over of the car by the garage Foreman should be part of the service (I Had to pick the car up myself with no opportunity given for myself to have the procedure explained and an opportunity for myself to ask questions of the expert.

From initial enquiry to refurbished wheels the service provided by the team here at the Wheel Specialist was first class. They pride themselves on their work to restore your alloys to factory standard at a reasonable cost. Very pleased with my alloys that comes with a two year guarantee.

My wheels have been returned looking like an LP record, what is interesting is the grooving is notnon all faces.
Craig has called me to explain that they cannot get a factory finish, but this diamond cutting has left my wheels looking terrible.
I think customers should be made aware of this.

Rude and unprofessional. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but the reception I received for wanting a quote was unpleasant, bordering on aggressive. It is a shame as their premisses look good, which was my primary reason for driving so far, so I can check out where I might be leaving my car. The reception was empty, so after waiting a few minutes I looked into the workshop which is when the worker in there flat out refused to deal with me without asking me a single question. When I said that I have come a long way and wouldn't be coming back, he became agitated and aggressive. Strange.

Jake and Charlotte couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. After trying to find someone to sort my Rohana RC10'S, I took them to the Newcastle office. The resulting job is absolutely stunning. Perfect in every detail. It's my go to place now for any wheel refurbishment in the future. I can't articulate just how amazing this place is. I'm very focused on quality, but the price is beyond reasonable. You can have full confidence in this place. Highly recommended.

Good work, but shockingly racist and two-faced staff.
The Positives: The actual work was done well, the price was reasonable, the turnaround was quick, and they were very polite to my face.
The Negatives: My dashcam captured the staff hurling horrible insults and making racist remarks about me the moment my back was turned. Despite having only a one-minute interaction with me, they took it upon themselves to mock me using a fake Indian accent (I was born in the UK and don't even have one). It was truly disgusting. In all my years working internationally, I have never seen a business speak about a customer with such blatant disrespect. Good work cannot compensate for horrible character. I absolutely refuse to give my money to people who behave this way and will not be returning.

I took my car to Kwikfit in Thornaby as one of my tyres kept loosing pressure.
They did a full check and originally found nothing wrong with my tyres.
I asked them to replace the tyre that was deflating as my Mum was in hospital and I did not want to risk a blow out.
So they took my wheel off and it turned it was wheel damage not my tyre.
They gave me a flyer for The Wheel Specialist, so I called them.
The customer service was absolutely amazing, they were very understanding of my circumstances with my Mum and said they could do all 4 wheels in a day.
True to their word they did.
I dropped my car off at 7.00 am and it was ready with an absolutely amazing job done when I picked it up at just after 4.15 pm.
I have a fiat 500 and alloys for each wheel are around £400, but thanks to to you all I got 4 refurbished wheels for far less than that.
You are truly amazing and hats off to the service you provided.
You are professional, skilled and have amazing customer service skills and the communication is second to none.

Took my 4 series to Cwmbran, they couldn't have been more helpful. I decided to switch from my heavily corroded diamond cut finish, to a superb dark metallic grey.
Superb choice, superb finish, superb experience, I can't recommend them highly enough.

Very good service. I would definitely recommend these guys n gals. Very professional. Felt like a special guest rather than just a customer.
On collection of my wheel I had a puncture in another tyre which they sorted for me, as well as moving wheels around while sorting the puncture.
Very please with the service.
