Awful service and terrible communication
I ordered a window from George Hotham at The Window Store on the 8/8/24.
George assured me that the window would arrive 3/4 weeks later.
It is now the 24/8/24 - nearly 2 months later - and the window hasn’t arrived.
Communication has been terrible. George has not kept me updated on why there has been such a delay. I have had to email him to find out and his responses are slow. He also gave me a number to call that doesn’t work.
Today I finally received a response to say that they had messed up my order and there will be further delays.
I am extremely disappointed with this service and a strongly advise anyone against purchasing a window from this company.

You placed an order with us on 08/04/2024, and I dealt with you directly to provide you with as much assistance as possible when placing your order as you had lots of queries on our products.
Unfortunately, as you chose a non-stock colour, there was a slightly delay on the aluminium profile being sprayed. We give a 3-4 week lead time on aluminium products (in stock) and this was therefore subject to a slightly longer lead time.
Under our T&Cs, which can be viewed on our website, it is highlighted that the Window and Door Store Ltd will not be held accountable for delays outside of their control, ie a profile or manufacturing delay. We did also offer to provide you with some discount, as a good will gesture, however this was refused.

Aluminium patio doors
Very pleased with doors! Reasonable price compared to others. Delivery quicker than originally expected. Sometimes tricky to get through to company or slow to hear back from emails but when in contact, staff helpful. Would recommend this company

Good price for the door comparing to other suppliers.
Two things could be improved
Delivery should be made by two man as some doors/windows are heavy. The poor man was lucky that I was able to help otherwise he would struggle or damage the items.
Instructions are very general. I spent a lot of time researching how to adjust hinges etc. Please improve and your customers will appreciate it.

Nice company to deal with, really pleased
Ordered a few windows in Chartwell green sliding sash Windows from this company. Ordered through their website which was really easy to use, straight away got a follow up call to confirm details and delivery info. Fast delivery (2 weeks) and we are so pleased with the Windows! Would definitely recommend.
