Extremely Misleading "100 Night Sleep Trial" – Do Not Buy

I purchased the California King Wooly Mattress Topper in early May 2026 after being drawn in by their heavily advertised 100 Night Sleep Trial. Big mistake.

The topper arrived two inches too narrow (70" instead of the advertised 72") and significantly firmer than expected for a 4" wool topper. Naturally, I contacted them immediately to return it under the sleep trial. Their response? Denied. They claimed I didn't qualify because I hadn't also purchased a mattress protector with the topper.

What makes this especially frustrating is how poorly this critical condition is disclosed. On the product page, they loudly promote the "100 Night Sleep Trial" as a major selling point near the top, but the requirement to buy an additional (expensive) protector is buried further down in a benefits list. It is not bolded, not highlighted, and not placed anywhere near the main sleep trial claim or Add to Cart button. This is textbook misleading advertising.

Their customer service was polite but completely inflexible. Even after I offered to buy the protector immediately to qualify for the return, they still refused. Multiple emails later, they continue to hide behind their fine print instead of doing the right thing.

Woolroom markets this product with a big "risk-free" promise that is anything but risk-free. They essentially trick customers into a non-returnable purchase unless you also buy their overpriced protector.

As a consumer in British Columbia dealing with a company that has an office in Montreal, I will be filing complaints with both Consumer Protection BC and Quebec’s Office de la protection du consommateur.

Save your money. This company’s “sleep trial” is a joke. Look elsewhere for a mattress topper.

After 4 months of use.…

I’ve been using my machine washable wool comforter for several months now and still love it! I’m glad I didn’t get the heavier one as it would have been much too hot, even in the winter. I love that there’s no smell or odor like I had with my previous genuine down comforter, and I love that I have natural, breathable materials next to my body when I sleep. Highly recommend this product!

Delightful light, natural fibres. I chose the deluxe wool duvet 4.5 tog…

I chose the deluxe wool duvet 4.5 tog and I find it perfect for the spring and summer months. It is machine washable so that is a bonus. You can tell it is a quality item. I prefer natural fibres so this duvet fits the bill. Far fewer hot sweats at night now due to the real wool. Thank you for making this excellent duvet.

I was not happy with first set of…so they bamboozled me into a second set I cant return

I was not happy with first set of pillows I ordered, contacted them for a return, the rep talked us into trying a different (more expensive) set of pillows. didn't like them, tried to return them and found out we can't return exchanged items. Never was told this when we agreed to try the 'upgraded' pillow and would have just processed the return as it would have been too risky to take a chance on second set of pillows. At this price I wouldn't have taken that risk. Kind of a shady way to bamboozle customers into being stuck with a more expensive product. Plus pillows are like sleeping on stones.

Customer Service is great. I had to return the comforter because it was too warm for my summer time needs but it felt like a great quality wool comforter and I will recommend it to friends and family in other parts of the country. Thank you

LUMPY AND CRUMMY!
I wanted to like Woolroom's pillows. The wool came clumpy and with debris (twigs, etc.) inside each pillow case X 3. This unfinished process of wool makes customers shred the wool by hand. It's very tiresome and time consuming. Once you sleep on the pillow it clumps up again making it uncomfortable to sleep on. I was passed their 30 day return policy. Customer service embarked on the 30 day limitation so much that they can't provide a solution to the clumpiness. Their distasteful attitude far exceeded any refund. A big waste of money!

Six weeks for delivery

The comforter is wonderful but it took six weeks from the time I ordered it until it was delivered with no notification from the company. I emailed multiple times and they gave me dates that weren’t met. Finally I attempted to cancel the order and it arrived a couple of days later. I’ve come to the conclusion that they intentionally don’t communicate how long it takes because people will cancel sooner. That was very frustrating.

The v angle wool pillow is wonderful

The v angle wool pillow is wonderful. I have tried many types of pillows and this one works great, plus it's all natural. I don't care much for the pillow case. Before i received the case i I liked sleeping with my head sunk between the v of the pillow, the case fits very tight and doesn't allow for that nice sink hole. So I don't t zip it all the way.
I feel the case is overpriced, the zipper seems like cheap quality that won't last long and I fear with the case being fairly tight that it could shrink even more, therefore I hang dry mine.
It would be nice if the pillow had an inner case so one could easily wash the quilted case, of which I much prefer over the white case.
Delivery on the pillow was fast, receiving the case was slow.
I would greatly recommend the wool pillow!
