I don’t often write reviews but Hew thoroughly deserves this.
I called for an urgent appointment as my boiler failed. He attended asap and did his best to resolve the issue in a timely manner.
He was assisted by his apprentice and I must say that I have been positively impressed by the way he interacted and expressed everything. This is an excellent professional man. Well done sir. Thank you.

Isaac was courteous and professional in fitting new taps in our bathroom and kitchen. When an unavoidable problem arose trying to remove one old tap that was pretty much corroded into place, he was careful and honest in sorting it out. Very good service all round. Thanks.

Amazing service. We had no hot water or heating over Easter. Huw came out on Easter Monday and solved the problem quickly.

Another company told me my boiler couldn’t be fixed and I’d need a new one. Instead I asked Huw to have a look at it. He recognised the problem and fixed it for a fraction of the cost. That was 4 years ago and my 23 year old boiler is still going strong. There’s no one else I trust to keep my boiler working like Huw.

I have used Thornhill Plumbing on a number of occasions. Huw is highly competent, efficient, and a very clean worker. He is always reliable, turning up on time, and helpful to deal with. There have been times where we have had faults on boilers that other plumbers have not been able to overcome. Huw is highly versatile. He has fixed faults from the very newest, and modern combi condensing boilers to a very ancient 42 year old Baxi back boiler. Such old boilers are increasingly requiring specialist skills and knowledge to work on, let alone diagnose any complex faults that they may have. Huw is more than able to work on both boilers, with confidence, and relaxed ease. Highly recommended from start to finish.

I have no hesitation in recommending Huw, who is a fantastic heating engineer /plumber. He is kind, friendly, thorough, conscientious and takes great pride in his work. He goes above and beyond for his customers. He helped me out in 2018 when I needed a new boiler installation in a new location in my house in the middle of a freezing winter. He was the only person prepared to do the work and site the boiler in the best place that avoided lots of ugly pipes on internal and external walls. He wanted to make sure I was happy with the work, rather than do what would have been easier for him. That is such a rarity these days. I've never met another plumber who would do the same. Since 2017, he has done regular boiler services for me as well as and other jobs in my home. He's just completed my annual boiler service and had been as thorough, diligent and polite as ever! I'm pleased I can still get a boiler service done by Huw in Cardiff, but the people of Poole are very lucky to have him for all the other work he does!

We had a slight problem with our boiler the C.Heating side was fine but the hot water for the taps was intermittent at best this morning. Our usual plumber was not able to help, I found Huw via a search, I am glad I did & my commiserations to the people of Cardiff, I would recommend him without hesitation he was polite, and sorted out the boiler & we will be using him to service it in the future.

Excellent service. Huw fitted us in very short notice ans did fantastic job. Very professional, polite with massive knowledge. There is also a breakdown of the costs so you know what you pay for. Worth all the money as good quality work and hassle free.
