Not sure I’d Recommend

I appreciate the flexibility to connect and the information provided. What’s concerning is that I was prescribed a protocol without my bloodwork being reviewed. I was told the recommendations were based on “symptoms”, of which I have few and that labs were not needed. I do not understand how one can prescribe hormones without reviewing a client’s labors.

I want to clarify how our medical team approaches BHRT and TRT so you feel fully informed. While many people assume hormone replacement must start with lab work, the current clinical guidelines from both The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and The North American Menopause Society (NAMS) recommend treating based on symptoms first. Symptoms tend to be a more accurate indicator of hormone imbalance than a single blood value, which can fluctuate throughout the day.

That said, your comfort and confidence in the process matter. Baseline labs are optional for starting treatment, but follow-up labs are always required 6 weeks after beginning a protocol, again at 3 months if needed, and annually for every patient. This ensures your provider is closely monitoring your response and adjusting your plan safely.

Very expensive there are fees on top of…

Very expensive there are fees on top of fees. Not responsive whatsoever just looking for reason for more charges! Horrible platform for women's health do not use! Dated this for last day of service in which i had to make for an offboarding appointment to cancel services and will probably be charged for!

I was finally heard!!!!!!!

Let me explain to you I was finally heard. Even though I don’t have symptoms because I am 60 years old, but I looked for for doctors for 15 years and the answer was what do you expect you’re over 50 and you’re just getting old

This was so disappointing in the last couple years I started looking into hormone replacement because nobody would help me and the more I got to know and the more I studied the more I looked out for companies and I found this company. I was heard.!!!!! Juliana made me feel part of a community. Seriously after I hung up with her after our consultation, I felt like I joined a community that loved helping women. I was so happy even the day after. I wish western doctors were more open to listening to women and not just saying that you’re old and there’s nothing we can do for you. I am so beyond impressed with this company and with Juliana I cannot believe the conversation and the consultation and the questions wow keep up the amazing work. You have a friend for life.

Misleading Marketing and No Refund Despite Their Own Policy

ThriveLab’s marketing clearly says they accept insurance, but once you ask questions, they force you to pay for a consultation. I paid $45 expecting real help and hoping my medication would be covered by insurance, which is all I wanted. Their own website says that if they can’t help, they’ll refund the $45 — yet I’ve received no clear answer, just delays and questions.

Now I’ve been told they don’t prescribe FDA-approved commercial testosterone because they claim it’s made from horse urine, which is both false and concerning. I’m simply asking for my $45 refund, as their policy promises. It’s not about the money — it’s about honesty. Misleading people like this isn’t right, and I won’t stay silent about it.

I’d like to provide some clarity about how our insurance process works. Thrivelab is in network with certain insurance providers, and for those, we do submit claims for visits that have been completed. However, we do not bill insurance directly for medications. We are always happy to send your prescription to your preferred pharmacy so you can see if your insurance will cover the cost of your medication there.

Our providers generally prescribe bio-identical hormone therapy, which is designed to closely mimic what your body naturally produces. Because of this, bio-identical hormones are typically not covered by insurance. Historically, some synthetic hormone replacement therapies included components made from horse urine, but this practice has largely been phased out. Our preference for bio-identical options reflects our commitment to safe, natural, and modern treatment approaches.

Regarding your $45 consultation fee — Due to your information being screened only your first name is visible. We would like to address the refund piece directly. Please send an email to jordan@thrivelab.com to get a full resolution.
