I was a residential tenant of Thrower Stone for almost 14 years. Always found the staff to be helpful. Any problems were usually dealt with quickly and efficiently. I wish your business and the staff all the best in the future.

If I could give a 0 I would. I was a tenant for 9 years. Took on most repairs and kept property clean and tidy. Due to unforeseen circumstances the police moved me urgently. This company sent a bill of over £3000. I left with the impression everything was ok. 3 months later they decided to send me the hefty bill for end of tenancy clean, a decorating bill, they said I broke the boiler (I certainly did not) a bill for a hand rail that came off due to the damp being so bad and a bill of two doors that were damaged during a fire I had because none of the fire alarms were up to date or legal. This company has destroyed my relationship with my mother and destroyed my mental health. They have completely broken me. I was a good tenant. I had no rent arrears. Please avoid.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Once I moved into property found out that smoke alarm was not up to code and only had 1 when law requires more and no CO2 detector or rubbish bins was advised these were tenants responsibility when it is landlords, only got this resolved after going to citizens advice and weeks of back and forth with thrower stone. A few weeks later all electrics sockets started giving mild electric shocks again after numerous calls and chasing an electrician was sent out, who told me that the electricity wiring was so bad it had burnt out to the extent it could have caused an electrical fire at any time. Once the damp weather came, damp and mold appeared in the kitchen, took weeks for thrower stone to send some one out to look at this who agreed there was damp and mold and that the outside needed repointing and damp proofing, I am still waiting for this to be done a year later , mold has now spread all through kitchen and in kitchen units. Kitchen roof started leaking badly over a weekend, emailed the emergency department as they dont have an emergency repair telephone contact, had no respone and had to call them on the monday, 3 weeks later I am still chasing them constantly for this to be repaired. Boiler broke was advised that they would have an engineer out the same day as I have a baby, again no one was sent, I had no heating for over 24 hours in winter and had to chase repeatedly for them to send an engineer out to be told that the fault was due to error and incorrect parts by the previous engineer.
This company do not keep in contact, do not complete tasks as promised and give false information, I can not wait for tenancy to end so I can leave.

We have just had the pleasure of working with Lauren from Thrower Stone, she has made the process of opening our new shop stress free and simple, All questions that we had were promptly answered and solved. Again a great company to work with 5 stars.

Their professionalism was top notch, they made the signing of the contracts easy for me, they even went out of their ways to book a meeting on a non working day, thank you. Thank you lauren.

Fantastic company to deal with. Everything was straight forward and any problems were dealt with quickly. Lauren was always at the end of the phone to help with any queries.

Lauren couldn't have been more spectacular. I was facing being homeless and she pushed everything through so quickly that I now have ten days to spare. 10/10 recommend using Thrower Stone's services!

Honestly can not fault the assistance I have been given by all Thrower Stone. Going through a very tough time, all of the team have bent over backwards to help.

This letting agency is amazing was with them for 2 years and didn’t have any problems at all with them if there was a repair issue they would sort it straight away. Nancy at thrower stone goes above and beyond she helped me loads of times getting things sorted with rent to moving in with rent issues and moving out with rent issues I would rent with thrower stone again in the future if needed would highly recommend best letting agency I have been with ever thanks thrower stone x

Great landlord agency! I was with Thrower Stone (and before that, Thrower Priestley) for just under 22 years. My first flat leaving home until I moved 2021. It was always a pleasure dealing with them...my kitchen needed upgrading, they did it; my boiler needed replacing, they sorted it; new bins, the times I locked myself out, etc, etc. Additionally, they are rigorous ensuring gas safety inspections and basic maintenance were up to date and compliant. Indeed, when I first moved into my flat, they even supplied my start-up furniture. I was always happy in my interactions with them, and trusted them implicitly. When I wanted to move (basically I wanted a house with outside space, something I realised I needed during lockdown), they asked if they could help me find a property with them. Unfortunately, at the time, nothing quite matched what I needed re. location and outside space, so I was sad to leave them. But even then, after leaving, everything including deposit, final account, and a little check-in once I settled in my new place, all super-fast, and with a nice personal touch. I am very grateful for what they did for me...and happy to leave this review.

I'm currently with this company for a commercial lease and can honestly say it's my worst experience. The staff are no help and you find yourself going in circles. A note for everyone considering taking a property with these lot; the person who shows you the property will agree to anything and everything but in reality doesn't have a clue. E.g. the heating works (only for all the electrical cabling to be cut) and then bathroom is flooded due to a leaking tap (only for the roof to be shot). Avoid.

I applied for a property in Rectory Road, Bensham, a very sought after area and applied for it. I received a call and was told that I would not be accepted without a home owner guarantor!! Despite the fact that I am on benifits, my rent is always paid directly to the landlord and I offered to pay 3 months rent in advance (which I have been saving over the past two years). Certain so-called agencies have been outed by not only the bbc but also by Shelter, Thrower Stone should be added to them. This is victimisation at it's highest level and whilst I feel for the refugees who enter this country I do believe that they are treat better than those of us who were born-and-bred in the UK. I expect this review will not be published to my complete honesty. Everyone deserves a home but we should look after ourselves first. Politically correct? No. Honest? Yes. I would hope that there would be no homelessness anywhere but as a British Citizen, I would probably not even be allowed across their borders. Look after us first, don't forget those from other countries who are in need but don't push us to the back of the line just because we don't (yet) come from a war-torn country.
