Strap Broke After Minimal Use

I bought this bag expecting it to last, especially as my previous baby bag lasted for years without any issues. Unfortunately, this one has been very disappointing.

The bag had hardly been used, but during a recent family weekend away the strap broke while I was out in the street. For a bag with such little use, this shouldn’t happen. A replacement strap was kindly sent to me free of charge, however that also broke. At that point I gave up.

Since then I’ve started using my eldest son’s old Smiggle bag instead. It’s years old and not particularly cute or fashionable, but at least it works.

I also previously posted this review on the company’s official website, but it appears it was either deleted or never published.

Overall, the design is nice but the durability has been very disappointing. I expected much better quality.

Great brand and bags

I have their Axel medium changing bag and I love it. I get complemented on it all the time. It’s so roomy, so easy to use looks so stylish. All the pockets outside as well as inside are so useful and I love the way the buggy straps come with it and our a matching colour.
I am pregnant with my second and will definitely be investing in one of their backpacks for when I’ll have a newborn and toddler in tow.

Silver Elwood backpack terrible quality

Bought the silver Elwood backpack for £169 and within a few months the silver is peeling off everywhere, all over the straps, around the zips, on the bottom, just everywhere really. For something that is priced as a high end product, it’s certainly low end materials. Absolutely do not recommend.

Great products and great customer service

I have had my Ozzy changing bag for about a year when the zip pull came off. I’d “put it somewhere safe” when I got home — but of course, I couldn’t find it anywhere! I contacted the Tiba + Marl customer service team on the off chance they might be able to help. Not only did they respond incredibly quickly, but they also arranged for a new zip pull to be sent out and even made a note of my bag’s batch number in case it happens again to anyone else.

Jeni from the team was so helpful — quick, efficient, and genuinely kind.

I can’t recommend Tiba + Marl highly enough — not just for their amazing, practical, and stylish products (a mum’s best friend!), but also for their exceptional customer service.

Brilliant customer service

I recently ordered a bag from Tiba + Marl as a gift for my friends baby shower. Unfortunately, the wrong bag was sent to me but as soon as I contacted them their customer service was outstanding. Within minutes they had arranged for the correct bag to be sent out and the other one to be collected, making sure I would receive it in time for the baby shower which was the following day. The whole process was handled so quickly and efficiently, and I couldn’t be happier with the service. Highly recommend Tiba + Marl for both their products and their fantastic customer service.

Cannot recommend Tiba & Marl enough! I’m a second time Mum who has purchased several of their bags for different needs as my family has grown, we love them! On this occasion I was purchasing for a friend, they went above and beyond to help me with a bag that was sold out online but available in store, so grateful for all their help and the excellent communication & service. Worst baby bag ever

Worst baby bag ever! The zip is rubbish and keeps getting caught. It’s seriously bad quality and not practical, not enough space for essentials. The worst thing about the rucksack is the metal, it stinks, every time you touch it the oil comes off on your hands and makes your hand smell like rusty metal. Avoid!

Faulty zip that keeps cutting my hand!!

Update:

Tiba and Marl contacted me when they saw this review and apologised for the manufacturer issue with the zip and sent me a replacement bag within a few days. Grateful for the accountability and action this company took and besides the zip we do love this change bag!

I bought the twin Elwood baby changing bag. The zip came faulty with a one spoke sticking out. I keep cutting myself on it as it is very sharp and hooked. This time the cut has got infected and my baby is getting more active so I’m afraid that he might also put his hands inside the bag and cut himself, unfortunately I will have to throw out the bag which was £165!!

I was told there is no warranty on the bags when I contacted John Lewis and told them.

I purchased a black rucksack change bag…

I purchased a black rucksack change bag and a pram bag… pram bag is great, however the change bag isn’t the best. I had an issue with my bag and it was replaced which was kind of T&M, however the bag is far too small and the compartments/way it’s organised isn’t practical. The change mat basically takes up the whole large compartment and you have to empty it completely to get to what you need. I have purchased a better mat to put in mine to give myself more room.

Excellent Products

Bought an Elwood backpack and a Hiro buggy organiser for my wife and I to use and I must say we are both very happy. One addition I'd like to suggest on future models is that a suitcase loop be added to the backpack!
