SCAM - They Steal From Sellers- 1 STAR

DO NOT SELL YOUR TICKETS TO TICKETCRICKET. This is a documented scam operation.

I sold tickets to TicketCricket based on their website promises of "instant payments," "cash on the spot," "prompt communication," and "trusted professionals with over a decade of experience."

Every single one of those claims is a lie.

What Actually Happened:

1. I transferred my tickets to them under a completed agreement.

2. PayPal held the payment for 21 days (standard platform protocol), so I immediately refunded it because their entire business model promises INSTANT payment. That was the deal - I took less money than I could have made elsewhere specifically because they promised immediate cash.

Once they had my tickets, everything changed.

They ghosted me for hours despite reading every message (Instagram read receipts). When I finally called out their unprofessional behavior and demanded payment, they suddenly claimed they "cannot send PayPal to different accounts" - which is completely false. That's literally how PayPal works.

They then offered to "return the tickets" as if they could unilaterally back out of a completed transaction. When I refused and demanded they honor the agreement (the same way they force sellers to honor agreements), they BLOCKED ME on Instagram.

They now have my tickets, owe me $240, and have cut off all communication, and have threatened me with a lawyer, for what? For them stealing my tickets?

Pattern of Behavior:
Multiple reviewers document the same tactics: fake urgency, shifting excuses, broken promises, and most disturbingly, legal intimidation. When I pushed back the owner threatened me with a lawyer when I literally am being the one stolen from!

This is not business conduct. It is bullying. It is the weaponization of legal threats to silence legitimate complaints.

Their Real Model:
1. Target fans who need quick cash.
2. Promise instant payment.
3. Get the tickets.
4. Claim a “payment issue.”
5. Ghost and block when confronted.
6. If you push back, unleash the lawyer.

What I’ve Done:
• Filed FTC fraud complaint
• Filed BBB complaint
• Filed police report for theft
• Sharing documentation publicly

Documentation:
I have screenshots of every conversation, proof of transfer, transaction records, and their website promises.

Warning to Others:
Their entire brand image; “friendly, real-time support,” “trusted professionals,” “instant cash offers” is a facade. What you actually get is silence, manipulation, and potential legal threats for standing up for yourself.

Save yourself the stress, the lost money, and the intimidation. Use anyone else. TicketCricket is a trap disguised as a ticket broker.

Misleading interactions and lowball offer

They reached out on Facebook claiming to be able to offer cash for tickets. Interaction went fine until when it's time to pay. Asked to submit a form on their website along with ticket information. Their offer came back at less than 50% of their offer on Facebook chat.

It's clear they are going for more users whether or not they'll be actual users in order to get more funding. Good luck getting any real users with that practice.

Recommended by a trusted friend

Recommended to me by a trusted friend, what a refreshing way to exchange tickets. Fast, easy, and trustworthy! This platform is perfect for newbies like me who are nervous and have been scammed once - never again. The process was smooth from start to finish, and I felt confident the whole way through. Glad they were recommended, this is the safe, hassle-free way I'll sell your tickets from now on.

Two strikes, be prepared for gaslighting, and legal intimidation.

Tried Ticket Cricket twice. They advertise "instant offers and payment" but delivered neither. First transaction: two hours for an offer, four more hours for payment. Six hours total is not instant by any definition.

Their website explicitly states they pay via Friends & Family. When payment time arrived, they suddenly claimed they could "only" send via Goods & Services. This switch matters because G&S exposes sellers to chargeback risks that no experienced broker accepts. They either do not understand this industry standard or chose to ignore it.

The second attempt revealed their true character. They claimed they had "overpaid" me on the first transaction due to a credit card processing fee they voluntarily absorbed. Rather than acknowledging their own business decision, they attempted to deduct this amount from the subsequent sale. This represents either fundamental misunderstanding of their own costs or deliberate manipulation of agreed terms.

Most concerning: when I disputed their payment delays and demanded what was owed, the owner immediately escalated to having his sister, a commercial litigation attorney, send me a cease and desist letter accusing me of criminal extortion and harassment. For simply requesting payment. This is NOT normal business dispute resolution; this is legal intimidation designed to silence legitimate complaints.

If you disagree with their practices or demand they honor their commitments, be prepared for potential legal threats from family members rather than professional resolution of business issues. This dramatic escalation over basic payment disputes raises serious questions about how they handle any customer concerns.

Use literally ANYONE ELSE. There are plenty who actually deliver on their promises without legal theatrics.
