Simply great service from the start.

Simply great service from start to finish!

After contacting the team to ask them put two different types of their inscribed boat specific decking onto both my Williams jet tender and my transatlantic class motor yacht, they were onboard in a few days.
After the visit with their high tech measuring system three days later they returned to fit . Just a brilliant job and super fast service, and the guys are easy to work with.
Simply they did what they said they would do when they said they would do it. All at a very competitive rate.

I am just one jolly satisfied customer.

Horrible for the artist. Is support alive?

Our music has been mapped to the wrong artist (with the same name) for several months. I contacted them 8 weeks ago and received a response back from "Daniela" saying it "We understand how important it is that all your releases are on the correct artist profile. We've forwarded your request to our specialized team. Please note the review process may take several weeks to complete." It's now been 8 weeks with no change. I sent an email 4 weeks ago for an update and they never responded. Just sent another one.

Cancelled Subscription/ Taking $$$$

What went wrong? Ha well for starters after cancelling my subscription early April & now mid May Tidal are still attempting to withdraw $$$ from my bank account about every 2 days, even after contacting them. The only way for it to stop is to close that account down.
I WOULDN'T USE TIDAL AGAIN..

They screwed up my subscription

I signed up for a family subscription over a month ago and got the confirmation email that everything was good to go. My credit card is in my account info. They never started charging my card, so I got a message saying my subscription had been "upgraded to introductory". Yes. Upgraded. Really? And that was right before they shut me off. They only have online customer service. There is no phone number. It took three days for them to get back to me and tell me: "your credit card has not been charged. Please re-subscribe to Tidal". Seriously? It took three days to get that unhelpful answer? Obviously they have a problem on their end, so they shouldn't be making me waste more of my time to fix it. They should just turn my subscription back on. Not having a phone number to call and actually talk to someone is the absolute worst way to handle customer service. They should know better. I'm going to have to think about whether or not I'm going to even bother with them now. It's too bad, because Tidal does pay the highest royalties to musicians.
May 18 UPDATE: It has been over a week since I last heard from customer service. Whatever the problem, it shouldn't take this long to fix. I even tried signing up again, but I get an error message regardless of what browser I use.
June 5 UPDATE: So they finally fixed the payment problem, but when my son tried to transfer his 1800 songs, we found out that the App Tidal wants you to use to do so only allows transfer of 500 songs without paying. Not very helpful if they want to gain peoples' business. I would use another service.

TIDAL continued to charge my cc account…

TIDAL continued to charge my cc account for MONTHS after I cancelled my subscription.

NO refunds as-per their policy. TIDAL simply "plays dumb" as they rob you in broad daylight.

There should be a class action lawsuit against these crooks!

I just discovered Tidal have been charging my credit card for a year. I never even heard of them before today and I have never used their website. They have charged me over $200 in the last year. I have no idea how they got my credit card.

Greatly improved Tidal…

Tidal has greatly improved since I last used them. They now match Spotify for features. Previous bugs have been resolved. Sound quality is excellent - the best I’ve heard through my Sonos speakers.

Hard time cancelling

Decided to try 30 day trial plus an extra 30 days for £2, they took money but could not use app or sign into account as thet refused email address so would not send a verification link to it. I decided to cancel but guess what, I needed a code sent to the email address they would not recognise.
Now here the thing, contacted customer service vis the email address they would not reconise and spent ages trying to cancel not only that I now had TWO accounts with the same unvarified email address!
Have taken a lot of effort to resolve and have contacted my registered credit card provider to block any future payments.
Awlful customer service that keeps sending you round in circles.
My advice (and look at all the 1* reviews and overall 2.2* score) is to avoid using Tidal.

Tidal Conning DJ's

I was using the DJ streaming element of the product and paying a large amount for it at $16.99 NZD per month. When I updated the software, it stopped working. When I enquired about fixing it, they said I needed to pay another $13.99 as an add-on for the single feature I used Tidal for.

There was no prior warning, no prior notice, just stopped working for me.

Have cancelled and left a bitter taste in my mouth

Poor streaming quality

Poor streaming quality. Stream fails 2 or 3 songs into listening. It will not reconnect for 1/2 hour or more when it fails..... and it has failed every time I have tried to listen in the past month of my 2 month trial subscription. I've attempted to reload app multiple times but still no luck in fixing whatever bug is plaguing their app.
I've quit my trial 1 month in. Not worth $2 for 2 month trial let along $10.99 a month. Uugh...

Only compatible with Alexa in the U.S. 😡

I researched what was the best quality Music streaming service around these days and came up with Tidal. However, I wanted it to be compatible with Alexa and it claimed it was so, I downloaded the app, subscribed to the service with the Free 30 day trial and went about trying to link it with Alexa to no avail. Details on how to do it were published but Tidal was not an option. Having contacted Amazon, they tried to explain how to do it and after a lot of faffing about I was about to give up. I spent a lot of time trying to link it and after contacting Amazon a 2nd time and getting a different person, I was told that Linking to Alexa was only available in the U.S. 😡 The Tidal platform overall I think is excellent although beit a little more pricey than some of the others, the sound quality is superb, shame it’s not able to link with Alexa. For the time being I’m using it from my phone through Siri. I’ve cancelled the subscription for now but after the 30day free trial, may well re-subscribe.

Not able to invoice

I recently made a purchase from TIDAL, and despite multiple requests, they refuse to provide a proper VAT invoice—something that is legally required under French tax law (Article 289 of the French General Tax Code).

Their support team repeatedly claims that TIDAL is “for personal use only,” but that does not exempt them from issuing an invoice upon request. Even in Business-to-Consumer (B2C) transactions, companies must provide an invoice detailing VAT or clearly stating that VAT is not applicable.

To make matters worse, TIDAL uses Stripe, which allows for simple invoice generation, yet they still refuse to comply. This shows a complete disregard for consumer rights and tax regulations.

If you need proper accounting documentation for purchases, be warned: TIDAL will not provide you with a VAT-compliant invoice. Their customer service is unhelpful and dismissive of legal obligations.

I cannot recommend TIDAL to anyone who needs proper purchase records for tax or accounting purposes. Avoid if you expect any level of professional support.

Run and look somewhere else

The application does not take you to a track for you to play it, once it has found it in its library as per your search. Instead it takes you to the album...imagine the track you are after is ... say number 16 in that album, you need to manually search in the list, even though it is presented as the click to play track. There are incomplete albums, missing a track here and there, I did notice some buffering issues at times, other have noted similarly. In two particular albums of interest there were some skips, specifically at the beginning of tracks, it seemed like a CD skip, just subtle. I contacted support, they wanted me to log a feature request etc...there is no phone number to call its just all e-mail stuff...Gave this service a miss by cancelling subscription into the 2nd month. I cannot recommend this service, very poor customer service and the application is shoddy.

Unreliable streaming service

When I first subscribed it was fine but it has become increasingly unreliable. I got so fed up with it dropping connection and constantly buffering that I decided to cancel. Went back to Spotify!

Bad quality, bad customer service

It took me 20 minutes after subscribing (had a free trial about 4 years ago so not possible again) to see that the quality is not good. Many popular tracks are Atmos on Amazon Music.Tidal is known for it's quality but it is consistently lower. No 360 spatial. Many tracks are not Atmos even when it's available on the same track on other streaming platforms. Support are useless. No refund since I had already used the service. Only got 20 minutes while realising it's bad.

Bad Customer Support and Lost $40

Got ripped off $40 and never played a single song from it due to an error message in Virtual DJ. I asked for help from their customer support and all I got was an AI generated message saying they would look into it. They never did and I forgot to cancel it after not being able to use it and having to stop DJing due to a surgery.

I will never use this service again

I will never use this service again, terrible user support, the play lists are very undesirable, plus when you want to cancel the service is a nightmare. Refunds can only be provided to users based in EU and US so everyone else is a second class citizen.
Your downfall is just a matter of time.
