Great experience! The sanctuary is very clean, well laid out and you can get surprisingly close (safely!) to the tigers and lions. I loved how relaxed the animals looked in their enclosures - they are clearly well taken care of. It is also a reasonable size so it is perfect for families or those just wanting a relaxing, nature filled day. Surprised by the lawsuits and negative reviews as none of them are true!!!!!

Just got back from Tiger Creek in East Texas and had to share our experience! We spent the afternoon watching these magnificent rescued big cats, and it was honestly breathtaking. My kids were mesmerized by Nala, a beautiful tigress who was pacing along the fence line when we arrived - our guide explained she was rescued from a roadside zoo where she'd been kept in a cage barely bigger than she was. The transformation in her behavior since coming to Tiger Creek was remarkable.
What impressed me most was how natural the habitats were. They've created spaces that mimic what these animals would experience in the wild, with plenty of shade, pools for cooling off, and enrichment activities. The staff clearly care deeply about these animals - they knew each cat by name and personality, and shared their individual rescue stories with such passion.
The sanctuary isn't just about housing these animals - they're committed to education and conservation. We learned so much about the threats big cats face and what's being done to protect them. Worth every penny of admission to support their mission of ""saving animals one by one."" If you're anywhere near Tyler, this place is a must-visit. Give yourself at least 2-3 hours to really take it all in.

Our team was in Texas for our quarterly retreat and we decided to visit Tiger Creek as an afternoon activity - turned out to be the highlight of our trip! Our guide Kayla was so passionate about each animal's rescue story, and it sparked great discussions among our team about conservation efforts. We got amazing views of the tigers and learned about their daily care routines. Several of our team members commented on how refreshing it was to visit a place so focused on education. We ended up making a company donation before leaving because we were so impressed with their mission. Already planning to bring some of our clients back next year when we're in the area again. Great team-building experience that didn't feel forced or cheesy!
