Easy, quick and accurate marking that gives specific feedback. Super useful for students whose teachers are a little slow with marking or struggle to understand feedback. So worth it!!!
I absolutely love Tilf.io. I have found it to be accurate, and the feedback is excellent. It saves so much marking time whilst giving quality comments that help students to improve each paragraph.... See more
A very useful instant feedback to essay questions which teachers sometimes take ages to mark. For practice purposes I think Tilf is very helpful.

Very helpful and fair company
Very helpful and fair company. They have me a refund after I subscribed annually rather than monthly.
English lang and lit is excellent
English lang and lit is excellent - well worth the sub price alone. But for other subjects - it says "be more precise" without explaining in details.
Great feedback, but not perfect yet.
I used this with my Year 11 English class. The feedback it gave was great - detailed and well-explained with worked examples of now just what to improve, but how. However, marks and grades weren't as trustworthy. In a class of 29, around 5 or 6 got 30/30 which wouldn't be realistic, especially for an extended poetry essay.

Tilf review ammendmant
Whilst I made this a 1 star review originally, it was because I had seen Tilf reduce in quality. But, I am happy to actually say this was very harsh and I see it's not the right review, that whilst some features were affected, it isn't because Tilf is getting worse, it's just improving and part of that is trial and error and some improvements affecting other parts of the site, so I think it's normal and the team at Tilf addressed these issues very reassuringly. I am now confident that Tilf constantly are improving their systems, and whilst this does affect other parts of their site, which they are aware of, they are constantly working to introduce new features which I have seen evidence of from speaking to someone from Tilf. I think it's worth a subscription as whilst no AI essay feedback tool will be perfect, Tilf will certainly keep getting better and I this is why I keep using Tilf because it helps me in my essays and knowing that it will most likely do this better and more of in the future. I am excited to see how it will improve.

Effective feedback given for GCSE English language writing
With the introduction of Mr Salles, I subscribe to tilf and submit around 10 essays so far (mainly AQA GCSE English language papers) for tilf to evaluate. The feedback is useful and I keep improving by following the feedback given. The only problem I got is that I am not sure how to submit a writing regarding picture descriptions like the one in AQA GCSE English language papers 1 question 5 because I can’t upload a picture to tilf. It would be beneficial if tilf can provide a platform for me to upload the pictures and give feedback on how well I describe or what areas I can improve.
Waste of time
I wrote my entire essay up and when I went to get it evaluated it transferred me to the payment page and deleted my whole essay. There was no warning that I would have to pay the second time before I started to use it.

Review
This was just what I needed, I've shared it with all my classmates and it's saving all of our A levels!
Greatly helpful and worth it, but…
Aayan here, this website was unfortunately released a little too late, given GCSEs are starting in less than a month, but I’m glad to have tilf regardless. I’ve always had to send my dang essays to teachers, hoping that they respond in time, but now I can mark them instantly with this tool. The AI is quite accurate, although not perfect, it marks pretty much everything under the sun, but with some mediocre selection of international GCSEs (although this has been improving). What’s brilliant is the paragraph by paragraph analysis and commentary, which really helps getting that extra level higher, which could bump up your grade significantly. It gives you a level, although not a mark or grade (which I wish tilf could do). The handwriting detection is surprisingly great, not flawless but it works with my terrible handwriting. Overall I’ve given it a 4/5, would’ve been a 5 if it weren’t for the UI, subject availability and it not giving a mark. I believe this was a great £9 spent, and I strongly recommend this website! Thanks to Mike, Kelly for the website and Mr Salles for introducing me to the site in the first place.
