Disappointing experience

Even though I paid for the subscription I wasn’t included in the dinner, i asked their support team for help they literally said the team was too busy and at that moment cannot help to include me in the dinner. Subscription- cancelled, app - deleted.

Turned up found no one and left

Sadly I turned up to Be at One Regent Street at 7pm.

The bar was not too busy, but no tables were marked.

I asked three staff which was table 1. I went to that table and it was an office party marked Emma.

Your normal good organisation was really not there this time. What’s happened Timeleft ?

There was no way communicate with anyone in my group. There were only 2 nationalities. Did no one turn up ? I had no idea. There was no way to recognise anyone as there were no pictures in the app. 🙁

I waited for 40 minutes and then left ! 😭

Finally Refunded!

I never got to have dinner with anyone, though my 1 month payment was posted. After repeated attempts, my password was not accepted, so no account was set up & the payment was not matched with me. Why would you ask fir payment before an account was established. My bad for not realizing this! I sent 2 emails asking for help, but received no reply. I wonder if this is a scam??

After posting this review, TimeLeft reached out to me & refunded the money I paid. Thank you!!

I went to two dinners, and it was terrible, I was the only people of color, Even though the the app advertised diversity, on top of that the members of the group were a lot older than me and racist .
It was a waist of time!

I like the idea

I like what the app is trying to accomplish, and I have heard really great things about it from friends I know that travel abroad. However, in my particular area, it does not seem to follow the same path. I would like to continue using it when I move or travel, but for the area that I am in, it has issues. Such as people not showing for the dinners, people showing up late, just interested in the after-bar, not wanting to participate. It also seems to cater more towards introverts in my area rather than people traveling to/from which is the category that I fall into and was wishing would be the other participants.

They have become greedy

I used to like this app but they have become greedy. I’m an evening shift worker and only get a weekday off every few months. I can only use these their services about 3 to 4 times a year and I didn’t mind paying the one time fee. Now they’ve removed that and only have a monthly fee which is useless to me. I tired to write to them and explain and they said “we feel our users will have a better experience with a monthly membership” compleatly ignoring what I had told them. I wrote back asking it be escalated and never heard back. Also newsflash to them, no one wants to go to a dinner with strangers every single week for months on end! That’s not how you make true meaningful friendships. Now if I want to go to one dinner I’d have to sign up for a monthly membership, so I’d basically be getting ripped off. Such a shame that they became snobs.

Bad business practices

Went to an event after clicking in a Facebook ad. I paid to join one of their dinners, but they enrolled me automatically in a subscription model that I didn't agree.

Experience not what was promised - Bad customer service

Bad customer service. I was unhappy with my experience. What they offered was not what I received (Fewer people at the dinner than they promised. Should have canceled the dinner or offered the option in advance to cancel. VERY awkward evening). I emailed a complaint. They took a month to respond. Offered a credit for a future dinner saying this generally doesn't happen. Never received the credit after numerous back and forth emails. Just credit the damn credit card. You didn't provide what you said you would - don't give me another dinner - give me my money back.

PS: TIMELEFT _ PLEASE don't insult me by responding here in public. You couldn't give a damn to do the right thing privately. Don't try to cleanse your disregard for customers by writing some happy "we're so sorry you didn't have a great experience bullshit". If you were sorry, you'd do what you said you would do multiple times and you didn't. I'm no longer interested in your response. You got your crappy review. Live with it.

Women-only dinner rocked!

I really enjoyed Timeleft's women-only dinner (Miami)!!! The restaurant was yummy and I got to meet 3 wonderful gals from different parts of the world: Russia, Peru and Haiti. We connected after the dinner via text and are heading to a sushi-making class in a few days. I look forward to the next women's dinner! Thank you Timeleft!

Timeleft steals your credit card details

Bought a single dinner on Timeleft dinner and paid 500 THB (16 USD). It was a good experience, but I decided it wasn't for me at this point. However, Timeleft have continued to charge my card every month (going on for 6 months now), although I have no subscription confirmed on the app. Their customer service is useless, and I had to cancel my card because they never get back to me. I have been writing to them, but there has been no response. The only thing I have left to do now is warn everyone that Timeleft KEEP your card details without your consent, and can at any point charge your card. DON'T USE THEM!

Rough experience, and it didn't seem like TimeLeft really cared.

That was a rough experience, to be honest. I don't know if it's just a small pool of people they have to work with where I live or their algorithm isn't well tuned enough, but it felt like we were just randomly thrown together and nobody had anything in common with one another - they were all nice people, and we were all trying our best to make conversation, but nothing flowed at all, and I think everyone felt pretty relieved when the dinner was over. I know I was.

The restaurant was difficult to access, and we were the only people at the restaurant, making things even more awkward.

Afterwards, I sent the company a polite, thoughtful e-mail with a few suggestions to improve the experience in the local context, and I got no response whatsoever, even after following up - it really didn't seem like they cared that the experience was sub-par, or interested in improving and adapting.
