Just received the final six books in the collection. Beautiful books. Very happy with the service I received.
I sent two emails and telephoned to cancel my order; all of which were ignored, and they still took money out of my account. I have been waiting almost two weeks for a refund and I still haven’t received the money or an apology. The books are great, just a shame the company don’t listen.
Beautiful books up until the end when they tried to charge for more issues than the advertised billed for 4 issues each 28 days. They want to now take payment in one go for all remaining issues. Tried to say I only budget for 4, but they've said only other option is cancel. Hate it when companies breach their own advertised prices. Now missing final 6 issues.
OVER PRICED! GO ELSEWHERE! YOU WILL EASILY FIND CHEAPER BETTER QUALITY BIKES VEHICLES, ELSE WHERE,
Absolute scam of a company. Been waiting over a month for a refund, have had to call them and chase multiple times. Promised a call back from a supervisor, which has never came. Have had to contact my bank and report as fraud, also contacting the financial ombudsman. Do not trust!!!
Definitely not a scam! I've been subscribed to them since October 2022. Initially it took some time for books to arrive and two payments were taken from me before the first delivery but after that everything worked as a clockwork - payments are taken around 4th every month and books are delivered between 27th and 30th of every month. You won't receive a dispatch notification and they keep their communication to the minimum. However, their customer service is super easy to reach over the phone and it was always a pleasant experience talking to them. Recommend!
These books are beautiful quality and look really lovely on my book shelf! As others have mentioned there is a bit of a delay in between subscribing and the issues being sent but they do arrive and are worth the wait. I have subscribed up to issue 15 and this week emailed to cancel my subscription (due to lack of storage) and have received confirmation of my cancelled subscription already. The customer service has been great and I love my books! Wish I had more space for them!
Definitely not a scam but if you subscribe then you definitely need to be patience as they have obviously had significant supply issues. The books do turn up eventually though and they are absolutely beautiful, very high quality and well worth the money. If your not prepared to be patience or put up with their rather sporadic deliveries, then you can also buy these books without subscription from Asda and WH Smiths (Tip: they are in the magazine section not the book section).
This isn't a scam!!!! They're just a bit useless!
They're always contactable by phone and are very friendly and happy to help, but the payments and deliveries are completely all over the place.
I think it makes it more exciting - they WILL deliver the books but who knows when?? You've just forgotten about it and then BAM a surprise parcel with your name on it holding literally the most beautiful books in the world.
I love this, reminds me of being a kid with magazines turning up at random times. But seriously, the books will come and they will be fantastic, just be patient (or forget about them and be surprised like I do)😊
I took out this subscription immediately on seeing the television advert. As of this morning (18.11.22) I have paid for 10 books, out of which I have received 4. They are absolutely stunning, which is why I've been more patient than I normally would be with delayed deliveries, and I have always received prompt replies to my email queries. The last email I had from their customer services team was that I should receive my delivery "by the end of the week"... well, it's now Friday and I'm wondering if this is all a big scam. Draw people in with a few issues, then see how long they can get away with continuing to take payments? My instinct is telling me to get out of this now before I lose any more...
I’ve just phoned them to advise a payment I made on the 4th of October hasn’t resulted in any delivery. Despite an order email as receipt advising delivery should be within 21 days, the operator told me payment was still pending and should be going out in the next few days. Apparently there’s an issue taking card payments. It’s been almost a month and this is the first time I’m hearing of it, because I chased them.
Also, the domain for their emails doesn’t work so definitely don’t bother with that.
Have no choice but to come to the conclusion this is a SCAM. They are unreachable, it's been over a month, and have heard nothing and received nothing, but they have now charged me almost 50£ for multiple issues, none of which have been received or even shipped. I have tried to phone and email and just get nowhere. Luckily ordered through PayPal so have since blocked any future charges and have opened a case for a refund. A real shame as was excited to receive these. But on all levels, customer service, product (as I have not received any product), legitimacy as a company its all less than 1 star.
The company isn’t a scam - I’ve just received my books today (although it did take around 5-6 weeks). They’re definitely worth the wait though!
SCAM company please please please avoid.
Had to open a chargeback. Took out the subscription 44 days ago, called customer service for the past 3 weeks and was advised to just wait another week. Called today and spoke to Brooke, to again chase my order. I wanted to make a complaint, she refused to pass me to a supervisor or manager. Refused to send email confirmation of the delivery information, as she cant be on the phone and send an email at the same time. Despite typing the entire time I was on the call. Blamed the delivery time on RM strikes, and their company being short staffed.
I have worked in customer service for many years and I am never rude to anyone who answers the phone, but the attitude of Brooke was disgusting. No apology at any time. Unfortunately I had to hang up the phone because I had no desire to be told the same 'I can pass on your feedback, denying my right to make a complaint or my manager would only speak to you if theres something I couldn't do'.
Do better.
I recently wanted to buy from this website, so I decided to check out reviews on them first.
There are no reviews or mention of it anywhere, the website itself consists of only 1 page. So I decided to search up the address, which had negative reviews of other companies operating under the same name (Grupo RBA) where it was a magazine subscription, customers claimed they were paying but not recieving any product.
Now a book subscription service located in the same address and under the RBA company. I am just curious if anyone has brought from them and actually recived their books, as I'd like to confim before buying.
