To Whom It May Concern,
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to formally express my profound disappointment and serious concern regarding a recent service experience at your facility and the subsequent hazardous consequences that have arisen due to what I perceive as a critical oversight.
On a recent date, I brought my vehicle in for a flat tire repair. During this visit, the attending technician informed me that the nail was unfortunately too close to the sidewall for a viable repair. I also received a photograph of my brake rotor, along with advice that my vehicle would require new brakes in the near future. While I appreciate these findings, I was dismayed that absolutely no mention was made of the severely worn lower ball joint or a significantly compromised control arm on the front suspension of my vehicle.
This critical omission led directly to a dangerous and highly inconvenient situation. This past Sunday, while I was traveling approximately 205 miles away from home, the aforementioned control arm catastrophically failed. This left me completely stranded and incurred substantial, unexpected costs for towing and emergency repairs, not to mention the significant disruption to my travel plans and personal safety.
Upon discussing this alarming incident with Cole, your store manager, I was informed that your facility "does not perform inspections." This statement, however, stands in direct contradiction to the clear and prominent advertising on your company's official webpage, which explicitly promotes and offers "free inspections" to customers.
The discrepancy in information provided by your management and your public-facing advertisements, coupled with the failure to identify such a critical safety component during a service visit – especially when it led to an imminent and dangerous breakdown – is unacceptable. I urge you to thoroughly investigate the procedures followed during my service appointment, the training provided to your technicians, and the accuracy of the information presented on your website. I look forward to a prompt response and a comprehensive explanation regarding these serious issues.
Sincerely,
Never bring my vehicles to Tires Plus…
Never bring my vehicles to Tires Plus again!
Don't go here!
I had a lift done on my vehicle so brought it in for an alignment. I also gave them the camber bolts that were FOR the alignment. They then called to say they were having trouble with it and the steering wheel was crooked and it would be a total of $500 to fix that as well. I asked if the alignment was right other than the steering wheel and he couldn't say it was 100%. So I declined furthur work on it. When I went in I told them how unhappy I was and they tried to tell me they told us the camber bolts would cost extra that were FOR the alignment which was untrue. The steering wheel is crooked but not enough they should have to lift up my steering column. They charged an additional $87 to put in a few bolts that were FOR the alignment and tried to treat me like I was stupid. It cost double what an alignment should cost and it's still not aligned properly and my steering wheel is crooked.
Horrible Customer Service
I called Tires Plus because my car has been shaking at high speeds after having tires replaced, and I wanted to bring it in to have someone look at it.
Before my car was even there, the technician immediately started telling me that it would not be the tires and that it was probably something expensive to fix. The problem is I never said it was the tires. I simply wanted to schedule a time to have the car looked at.
It was frustrating to be talked over and have someone start diagnosing the vehicle without even seeing it or listening to the actual concern.
All I was asking for was a basic inspection appointment. Instead, I got attitude and assumptions over the phone.
Customer service matters. Taking a moment to listen before jumping to conclusions would go a long way.
Total Engine Destruction, Evidence Disposal, and Fraud at Tires Plus Loganville
This complaint is regarding Tires Plus Store #236946 in Loganville, GA.
THE DISASTER TIMELINE:
Day 1: I drove my 2018 Jeep Wrangler into this facility under its own power. It was my primary transportation and in functional condition.
13 Days of Negligence: The shop held the vehicle for 13 days, performing multiple failed repair attempts and racking up thousands in charges.
Technical Malpractice: Technicians used chemical coolant sealers and additives explicitly prohibited by the manufacturer. This unauthorized "fix" resulted in total, catastrophic engine failure.
Day 13: My vehicle was removed from the premises on a flatbed tow truck with a seized engine.
DECEPTION & EVIDENCE DESTRUCTION:
Billing Fraud: I was billed $92.99 for a "Block Test." Shop management later admitted to me this test was never performed, yet they refuse to refund the fraudulent charge.
Evidence Spoliation: Immediately after the engine failure, I served the shop with a formal, written legal notice to preserve the radiator and intercooler for forensic analysis. The shop ignored this notice and intentionally scrapped the parts to prevent independent inspection.
CORPORATE BAD FAITH:
Bridgestone Corporate reviewed these documented facts—including technical negligence and the intentional destruction of evidence—and issued a summary denial. They have sanctioned the destruction of my property and refuse all accountability.
Why is it so hard to make a payment…
Why is it so hard to make a payment online and then when you call too you can’t get any room and then when you bring cash to the store, they get an attitude with you
I recently bought new tires with…
I recently bought new tires with warranty from Hibdon near Admiral in Tulsa, OK. I thought everything was fine until after the snow storm. I noticed that at least one of my tires was real low so I went in to have them check the pressure on all of them and the guy said he did so I believed him. The next day a woman pointed out that my tires was low. It was the same tire I thought was low and it looked just as low as it did the day I took it in. I'm so tired of being lied to. To top that off, after I called and complained to corporate the manager called me back and made me fee l heard and made me a deal that sounded great, I guess to get me back in the store. So I went in to have them look at my tires again. Turns out, there was a slow puncture leak. To top that off the deal he made was a complete lie and to make thing even worse, he treated me like I was an idiot and all this was my fault because I didn't ask for the right service the first time. I will NEVER go back to that store again. The only reason I'd even go back to Hibdon is because I have warranties on my tires but I will NEVER purchase new tires from them as long as I live.
Questionable Business Practices BEWARE!!!!!
BEWARE!!!!!
This is not my first time dealing with this Tires Plus location. (3910 SW College Road Ocala, FL 34474)
First time for an oil change with them.
Took my car for an oil change this morning.
My car has a lot of miles on it and when take it to other places always they do a synthetic high milage oil change as should.
They did a standard oil change. On top of that, they said I need a new battery, spark plugs, 2 tires, belts, engine air filter, and wiper blades.
A few serious problems with this:
- In person I was only informed of the battery, belt, and the 2 tires.
- The other things I mentioned I only found out when they emailed me afterwards the invoice, and inspection report which the way it reads is very questionable.
It reads on it:
- RIGHT FRONT TIRE REQUIRED: Nails; Non-Repairable; Worn (REMOVED -
[TECHNICIAN DETERMINED SERVICE IS NOT NEEDED])
Do I need a new tire or not? What about the nails on it?
Hmmmm.....
- LEFT REAR TIRE REQUIRED: Worn
RIGHT REAR TIRE SUGGESTED
LEFT FRONT TIRE SUGGESTED
- WIPER BLADES - FRONT SUGGESTED: Worn (REMOVED - [TECHNICIAN
DETERMINED SERVICE IS NOT NEEDED])
Do I need new wipers or not?
Hmmmm.....
- SPARK PLUGS SUGGESTED
I just had them done at the dealer.
Big problem with this them telling me this.
On their Courtesy Check Summary it says:
- Air Filter
Close To End Of Useful Life
Only found about this when reading this report. Was NOT told about this in person.
- Washer Fluid
Close To End Of Useful Life
Details:
Empty / Low
Is it empty/low why they did not fill it? Was NOT told about this in person.
- Battery Test
Does Not Meet Design Specifications
Very dissatisfied and not happy with their service.
From my experience and their paperwork shows that they are not to be trusted.
BEWARE!
It seems like each time I go there I am…overcharged
It seems like each time I go there I am charged a ridiculous amount of money. They can be rude at times and the wait is almost always longer than they tell you, even when it is for a simple oil change.

I had a flawless experience, from the moment I walked in the door, the service manager got me in quick and he answered all my questions that I had, with great knowledge I was very impressed to get just great service, its something that is kinda rare these days,So Thank you Tires plus!! Im one satisfied customer. No
Faulty parts, overpriced, terrible service
My dad, who is 78 and on a very small fixed income, had the knock sensor in his Honda CRV replaced by them last July. They overcharged him for both the part and the labor. The senor went bad a few weeks ago and because of that, his car won't pass emissions inspection. We took it back to Tires Plus and told them about the bad part to see if they would replace it under warranty since it's only been a year and a half. I was informed that the warranty is only for 12 months or 12,000 miles, so they wouldn't cover the cost of replacement. They charged twice as much as AutoZone does for a sensor that didn't even last 6,000 miles and now they refuse to make good on it. They used to be a halfway decent shop several years ago when I lived in the area, but now they're terrible.
If I could leave a negative star…
If I could leave a negative star rating I would rate their service at a minus 5 stars! All I needed was an oil change and I showed up 10 minutes before my appointment, and was told it would be about an hour. After about an hour I noticed my car had been moved, so I assumed it had been started on. At over 2 hours I asked about the status of my car and realized it had just been moved to the side of the building, so I took my car. I was offered no explanation and no apology. That's the minimum customer service I would expect! Don't take your car there.
Negligence
I took my car to be serviced in January of 2025. This location provided an estimate and received approval from my insurance company and myself to repair my car. This location refused to fix my car and instead of contacting me in any form to decline service, they allowed my car to sit on their property. This location then gave a new estimate in April 2025 of over $5000 citing cost of parts increase and labor. But the estimate they provided in January 2025 was for $1200. I had my car towed to a different company in June 2025 and upon pickup learned my sunroof had been opened while at this location. Due to the weather elements, the interior is completely molded. The manager refused to take any responsibility let alone offer an apology even though his property inspected the car to provide the estimates and at no point did anyone contact me to inform me of my open sunroof and/or that they would not service my car. No one from the company is responding to my emails or phone calls even after someone in corporate told me he would file a claim. That was in September. He has not contacted me nor responded to my emails and phone calls since. I called customer service again on November 11th and was told someone would get back to me within 48 hours. It is December 2nd and no one has gotten back to me.
2 hours and 37 minutes to change over tires
It took 2 hours and 37 minutes to switch my summer tires to winter tires. And I even had an appointment and they knew I was waiting in the waiting room (which was very run down). It took them over an hour to even get my car on the hoist. And then nearly two hours to actually switch the tires over once it was on the hoist. I should known it would not be good when I arrived to check in behind a dissatisfied and nearly sobbing customer who claimed she had spent $500 and was mistreated. I should have left right then and there and regret that I didn’t.
When they finally finished my car nearly three hours after my appointed time, the service advisor did apologize but gave no explanation for the delay.
Go to Discount Tires by Home Depot. They are speedy and respectful and you won’t waste an afternoon getting done what should have taken an hour (max).
STAY AWAY
STAY AWAY! I have been a customer for many years since I live right down the street. However, recently they have made errors, and one could cost me my engine. First time, I had a flat tire. The person at the counter not only walked me outside to show him which one, but he marked it with chalk where the nail was and then later showed me a picture of it on their iPad. Wake up the next day and the tire was even more flat than it was. Had to go back up there and the manager gave me the run around saying my back tire was changed, what's the problem? The wrong tire was changed! The front one was flat! I also kept the tire the first time and they charged me a disposal fee both times. This second incident, I get my oil changed on a Friday. The Engine Pressure Warning Light has been on since that Saturday. Today is now Wednesday and I go to check my dipstick.... not ONE drop of oil is in there. It's completely empty! I now have to take my car up there again for them to fix their mistake before Thanksgiving. I don't know who they are hiring, but they are UNQUALIFIED and granted they may "fix" their mistakes, but their should never be mistakes when someone is driving a vehicle. That is their only way to & from work to make money. If I could give zero stars, they deserve that. I will never trust them to work on my vehicle again. Terrible quality, terrible service, terrible employees!
Tires Plus in Buffalo - Does Not Care!
The good folks at Tires Plus in Buffalo Minnesota told me they do not care.
Called Tires Plus and requested repair of my 2003 Ford Ranger emergency brakes. They said they could fix the problem, so I had my assistant follow me to Tires Plus so I could leave the truck there. I requested they fix it same day as I brought it in because I’ve had gasoline stolen from my car leaving it overnight at Tires Plus Buffalo location. The emergency brakes were completely non-functional, with the cable so loose the pedal didn’t stop until the physical limit. These brake components (minus drums and shoes) were 20 plus years old, rusty and in a couple places worn through the outer covering into the cable itself.
Got a call from Tires Plus, Buffalo Minnesota October 10th, 2025 at 11:15AM. I was told “it’s going to be expensive” to fix my emergency brakes! (it was around $900.00) I said – Go ahead and fix it.
Got a call around 4:30PM I was told “We thought replacing the rear components would fix the emergency brakes, but, it didn’t. It will cost another $600.00 to fix the emergency brakes." Since it was closing time anyway, and I wasn’t going to leave my truck there, I said to button it up and I will finish the job myself (I’ve rebuilt engines and transmissions and repaired everything on cars from the 70’s to today with many brake jobs – I’m not an expert mechanic, but experienced. When I got home and took off one of the rear wheels and went to remove the brake drum, it was so tight that I bent my gear puller 5/8” steel bolt trying to get it loose. The hub center where the drum lands wasn’t cleaned – it was rusty and rough and tight. I went to the other side, where I found the brake drum had a large chunk of steel out of it. It could have been dropped, breaking it, or it could have been broken when they tried to remove it after realizing that their “spray and pray” approach to auto repairs didn’t fix the Emergency brake. I couldn’t remove the broken drum with my puller either. At this point I called the manager and requested they get those drums back off so I could finish the repair job, since it appeared that only with massive force would these come loose, and they’d probably be damaged by all that pounding. I wasn’t going to do it. The manager agreed to replace the broken drum and do the work so I could remove the drums myself with reasonable effort. We agreed I would bring the truck in at 8AM on a Wednesday morning.
On Wednesday morning I scheduled my assistant to once again bring me Tires Plus Buffalo Minnesota so I could leave the truck to get repaired. Upon arrival I spoke to (morning manager). I asked how he felt about what happened with the misdiagnosis, broken drum sent home and my own time involved. I was searching for any kind of “ahh sorry….”, but was met with complete indifference to my problem. I asked three times – “do you care that this got messed up?” and each time the response was clearly given in body language. He didn’t care one bit. He responded “What do you want me to say?”
I said maybe Russ Peterson the owner will care – morning manager still couldn’t muster up any kind of apology or any accountability for a misdiagnosis that cost me time and money – “ I didn’t do the work.” was his response! When I asked the original manager the same question, it was clear to me he didn't care either! We'll replace the broken drum was the best he could do.
The manager seems like a nice guy, which is why I apologized when I walked out the door an unhappy, unsatisfied customer who not only didn’t get his Emergency brake fixed, but now will need to find a new mechanic that I can recommend to my family and friends. And I hope plenty of people avoid the painful mistake of choosing Tires Plus Buffalo Minnesota to work on their car. They’ve shown me and outright told me they don’t care.
Dishonest work
I brought my truck in to Tires Plus (on N. MacCarren in Reno) to address a check engine light problem. They claimed to have found multiple issues with it and it came to $791.11.
When i left my truck didn't seem to be running great but the check engine light was off.
Several days later I went to fill up my gas tank and could not remove the cap. I brought it to another local mechanic (Big O on Kietzke in Reno)for help and they found it'd been glued on. When the cap finally came off, the check engine light came back on.
I made an appointment with Big O to address the check engine light issue and when they went in, they found a simple solution (it was a simple leak) and additionally they found numerous hoses and clamps disconnected and/or removed. This was done on parts that were not worked on by Tires Plus, but completely unrelated parts of the truck.
I went to Tires Plus to explain the problem and was told I could leave my vehicle with them and they would contact management. I did not feel comfortable leaving my truck with them and eas never contacted by management.
I've called multiple times now to address the problem but am told there was no issue and I have no proof.
They spent a lot of time diagnosing the…
They spent a lot of time diagnosing the problem and couldn’t fix it. There was absolutely no charge. Customer service was great will be back.
Sexual Harassment
⚠️ DO NOT GO HERE! ⚠️
My girlfriend needed a tire replacement and was sexually harassed. During drop off, the mechanic creepily stared at her from time we walked in and was checking her up and down and said he loves her hair. During pick up, he again creepily stared at her through the window from the shop, creepily waved and smiled and then proceeded to make a humping sexual gesture with both hands. He stopped working and stepped out of the building to watch us drive away. A report has already been filed with the company/corporate. The invoice said technician : 12 Glenn. This happened at the Tires Plus in Middleton, Wi.
⚠️ Again, DO NOT GO HERE! ⚠️
TirePlus Fraudulent Repairs
Took our Audi A4 to the Berwyn, PA location in 2024 for new breaks and annual inspection. TiresPlus claim to have replaced both pads and rotors front and back. Less than a year later the Audi needs new breaks (pads & rotors), TirePlus did not perform the work they charged us for. The parts on the car were worn, old, and rusty; not brand new with less than a year of wear. The location refused to help claiming no manager on site. I had to file a complaint with the Corporate Office. I am still waiting to hear back, next step is disputing the charges with our credit card company.
