I've been with Tomato Energy for almost a year and it's been brilliant. Changing over to them was very easy. Okay, it took a few weeks before my meter readings were visible online, but since then, bills have come through on-time and I have been able to view my usage at anytime. The prices are incredible! To run an EV and home in winter bills didn't go over £73 a month, and in May, my most recent bill, was under £39 (with solar). The standing charge is also incredible, beating rivals significantly. I won't be changing supplier anytime soon!!! Thank you Tomato Energy!!

There are two main components on my experience with tomato energy, the first one is the service they provide and the other is price they charge.
They have exceeded in both. I had octopus and it was a nightmare from day one, it was always the smart meter or DCC's fault. Not a single problem since I moved to Tomato. I use the electricity, they charge me for what I use, no drama, and much cheaper than octopus.

Joined October 2024, bills have always been on time and accurate. I am on the lifestyle ev tariff so 3 different rates over 24hour period. Bills have been cheaper than they have been for previous years with other suppliers even though usage has been greater. I have a plugin hybrid car and air source heatpump. Very happy so far.

Spoke with both Pargat and Harvey at Tomato Energy on the phone today and yesterday, both of them patiently explained everything to me. The team seem very friendly and helpful, the energy rates also seem good.

Nice to get a follow up call from VJ, he gave me one or two helpful bits of info and the service itself is good. Your usage and and monthly bill are transparent and the monthly email lets you know exactly where you stand.

I was with tomato for a month and the bill I received for that was higher than what had for my combined gas and electric. I went with them because it was promised would be cheaper. On leaving I am yet to receive a finalised bill since February and promises to call back has not being fulfilled.

I’ve been a customer since October 24. Since having a power outage last year my IHD hasn’t been working. The Bright app is no longer receiving data as far as I can tell. MyWatts is inconsistent and missing data and doesn’t reflect my bills. I have no way of telling how much electricity I’m using and mywatts shows my meter reading as zero. I’ve messaged Tomato several times using the online contact form but not once had a reply. I tried phoning many times but couldn’t wait on hold so gave up. I finally got through and after a lengthy discussion I was told that it would be passed on to an engineer who would contact me. That was in February. No contact whatsoever. Great tariff, nice friendly customer service (when you finally get to speak with them) but total inaction from them as far as sorting the problem.

Like many customers having long term issues not getting data from smets2 meter so no my watts and no bills being generated. However can not fault the level of service received today from Pargat, very attentive and showed great empathy, however I’ve been here many times and not hopeful that anything is going to change soon, this review is related to Pargat he could not have done more hence good review for him, I feel sorry for these guys on the front line doing what they can, but the company heads and leadership need to get their acts together.

Pargat is a good customer advicer , he helped me to understand my bills by referring me to my watts app. He tried to fix the issue about my direct debit and the due date of payment. Very polite,kind , patient, and understandable with my broken English. I really recommend him for every one who use tomato energy.

Reading about what is going on with Tomato, I have decided to jump ship. I was an early adopter in August 24 and have no complaints about the prices or provision of my energy. However, I seem to have been locked out of myWatts and despite messages and phone calls this has not been restored/ I hope that they continue with there innovative approach to energy provision but I don't need to take the risk of ending up with a supplier of last resort. I had to leave before the end of June to avoid penalties so I have left. Good luck to all who stick it out

Received a courtesy call from Vijay yesterday which was a pleasant surprise and something I’ve never experienced before from an energy company.
As a consumer, Tomato’s payment methods took some getting used to and I was given the option to have my payments taken soon after receiving my email notification.
Overall, I’m extremely happy because no one else comes near to their unit price.
