Amazing experience. Really helpful

From start to finish Tom treated me with the utmost respect. He is very honest but I was grateful for this. He was always on hand with a text or WhatsApp. I was empathetic towards him being a one man team and how busy he is and he always responded between 24 hours from my text. My sale was not an easy one due to no fault of mine or Tom's but he made it happen. His support throughout was exceptional. I'm so glad he didn't give up on me and my house. I would highly recommend Tom.

Where do I start. Sold houses before and never had a good experience with an Estate Agent but it seems Tom has nailed his business

Contacted Tom and other estate agents to get a valuation and he was round super quick and didn’t need to do a sales pitch at all as you get a sense of someone and it turned out to be right!

He had been round, too pictures, and listed the house within 24 hours. The following day viewings booked back to back which Tom did and within 36 hours it was sold!

Communication was spot on throughout and Tom is on the ball 100%.

I can see why more and more people are listing with Tom and believe me if you go elsewhere you’ll be chasing for updates whereas Tom is on it!

Would I recommend Tom…. ABSOLUTELY!!

My parents booked viewing for one of the property on market by Tom Bates, 14/12/24 at 10:30am but agent never showed up or answered his call anyways owner of the house open the door and she showed the house to my parents. Later that evening we had anther appointment for house nearby roughly 14:30 and dad said you should see house I seen in morning and you will definitely love it, but we said we do not have anther appointment so leave it for now but he insist that lady is very lovely and said will ask if she will let us see the house again anyways she said please book with the agent so he left the house, then on 16/12/24 my dad called again agent and ask if he could have anther booking and show house to my son and daughter in law as they really like it.
He said Mr Singh, why did you knock on the door on 14/12/24 he said we had appointment but agent I cancelled by messaging you, my doesn’t check message, not sure why couldn’t he call to inform him as we currently live 30 miles of this house. Anyways he apologised for knocking on the door for 2nd in late evening as no appointment was booked. Anyways he gave him anther appointment on 19/12/24 for us to view house, so Me, Mrs, 3 year old and 6 Months old baby with my sister and niece traveled 30 miles to view house and when agent approached he opened house and checking if owner is home, then came out shouting at us like WHO KNOCK ON THE DOOR THE OTHER DAY in loud and very rude way, I said to him look that was my dad and even I apologised for him knocking on door without appointment but also matter was resolved over the phone and he did apologise too but he (Tom) still carried speaking to us in rude manner and we had leave without viewing the house, I mean why did he gave appointment, just to insult us? We traveled bloody 30 miles….

This was the owner of the agency Tom Bates himself.

Tom was brilliant from start to finish in selling our house. We loved how you could contact him 7 days a week and the use of the apps meant we knew when any viewings were coming and any offers as well and didn’t have to wait until a Monday for offers or hearing back. We sold the house within 3 weeks due to some excellent marketing pictures and video which really helped. Once sold Julie at smooth progression was brilliant and always on hand and really helped us through the end. Thanks all I hope we don’t need to move again but if we did I would 100% recommend Tom and his team.

We've just sold our first home with Tom after a bad experience a year before with a high street agent. Tom does everything on his own in such a quick and efficient manner. We contacted Tom in January and by February we had an offer and were out and in our new place beginning of May!
Very professional, photo's were lovely and he was brilliant with responding on WhatsApp.
The sales progressor he works alongside with - Julie, also deserves a very good review for helping get the sale through on the legal side so smoothly and quickly.

Wouldn't hesitate to go with Tom again and would recommend him to anyone thinking of selling!

I Recently sold my house through Tom Bates Estate Agents.
From the very first time we met and discussed about going on to the market up until we completed the customer service was fantastic. Very informative and always responded to calls/texts in a timely manner.
Julie is an unbelievable asset to the team too, always there digging away to make the process as smooth sailing as possible even during slow and difficult periods. Julies responses were always received in a timely manner too.
I would highly recommend Tom Bates Estate Agents and will look no further when coming to sell my house again.

Tom Bates took the pressure off me by taking control of all the viewings . He was easily reachable if I had any questions. Julie the sales progresser was very efficient always in control of the situation keeping you informed on a daily basis of what was happening. I would definitely recommend him to anyone in the future.

I really can’t give you a good review Tom, I should have trusted my instinct at the start and gone with a more reputable firm. Everything you promised just didn’t materialise, after getting a ‘buyer’ you then chose to ignore us for 4months (from March to July 2023)while I was oblivious and thought the sale was going through. You actually ended up costing us money because in this time there was a downturn in the market. I then contacted another firm who were brilliant and kept me informed every step of the way, no long periods of silence. My property is now sold, no problems. I also felt you were quite snappy when contacted. I will await your reply and am expecting a not so nice response!!

My experience with Tom Bates Estate Agents was amazing. Tom gave me feedback on how to increase potential viewers. He suggested investing a small sum of money into the property to improve property presentation which I did. Together we discussed key features that would help sell the property. No false promises, he does exactly what he promises. We have as much or as little contact with him as needed/requested & the service extends beyond that. Brilliant service from start to finish, photography of our property was brilliant and showed the house amazingly for perspective buyers. Communication from viewings, offers, and everything in between was prompt and professional. I would highly recommend Tom to anyone thinking of selling.

For an estate agent you think they would be all about contact. Not this one, multiple phone calls to the agents over numerous days…. 0 answer… text message to the mobile as requested 0 answer (claims to have not received) (it shows delivered) other people try to ring and cut off after 3 rings. Wouldn’t recommend putting your house up for sale with this one if you actually want to sell it and want to hear proffesionally by an agents
