The box in itself is fine, would have liked some kind of battery life, there isn’t. If it’s not plugged in, it doesn’t play.
My daughter loves it, and the cute figures. That’s actually why she chose this specific product of this type, because of the tonies.
The problem: I ordered for Christmas 2024, and I talked to customer service before and was guided somewhat as to how to make sure to have Danish content on the figures. (A week before Black Friday they said the was not gonna be a discount, but I waited just in case, and there was lol. A bit fishy looking back).
Anyway, I spent 275 EU (2070 DKR) and it is the most expensive gift she has ever gotten, but it was her biggest wish. She got some tonies where we could buy Danish content like the Smurf and my little pony, and a lot of creativ tonies to which we bought several Danish stories. Some to try the first, in the intent to get more if she liked it.
All was good until last week, where I was checking for new content (I think I got an e-mail) and was super confused when the Danish filter was gone. All I had liked in Danish was gone.
I contacted tonies to find out what was going on, and was first told it was a licens thing, and that they were working hard to get new Danish content. Wrote back that I was disappointed that we weren’t told in advance, as we then would have bought more of the stories she only got one of the first time.
But was also happy that there then seemed to be coming all new content. But then they say there might not be coming Danish content again at all. And now they say that’s not what they said, but it was. They even told the same to Jeppe (that I don’t know) whom has also been badly treated by tonies.
I’m SO disappointed. We have paid more for the tonies with stories as we have to buy the English or German ones, and then buy a new Danish story for that. And all the free content is not a possibly for us, as she won’t understand it properly.
This box had so much prospect but has failed us Danes. And other Nordic countries as well, Swedish is gone too. Don’t remember if Norwegian was there.
I hope they fix this. And that we get some kind of apology and sign of good will. I’m actually not ever sure it’s legal to change the product like this.

On January 6th, I bought three figurines for my Toniesbox because I wanted to get some specific audiobooks. I was excited to use it, but when the figurines arrived, I found out Tonies in the meantime had removed all their Danish content, which was available both in the app and their website, when i bought the figurines on jan 6th.
Now I’m stuck with three useless plastic figures and a Toniesbox that’s practically worthless, since i have no content to put on it. No warning, no heads-up—just gone. It feels like a complete rip-off, and I can’t believe they would treat their customers like this.
To anyone thinking about buying this product—don’t waste your money!

Plan to spend more time on your phone than with your kiddo...customer service doesn't have a phone number. READ the all the reviews...this is a common theme. So you have to email them and wait a few days. Hopefully that fixes it but if not plan on waiting some more. Also, they like to to respond to your reviews quicker than your help submissions. Don't be fooled they are just trying to get more purchases.

Bough a tonie box in November 2024 all ok but only after a few weeks it would not hold charge so i contacted their customer support , took 3 days for a reply , then e mails back and forth asking me to check this and that when its obvious the internal battery is faulty , after a few weeks they agreed to exchange the item and sent me a returns tracking label to return the box, then nothing no replacement no contact so i had to contact their customer service again , then provide proof of return ( although they had tracking number for the returned item via Royal Mail so knew were it was and if they had the item returned to them ) e mail after e mail then they provided me with a voucher code to order a replacement , which i did but the code was declined on their website , so i then sent 10 e mails to their customer service and no reply !!
So i have sent the item back and now £80.00 out of pocket as it stands so no Tonie box for my granddaughter to listen to on Christmas eve as was the plan, and all the other items from the bundle i bought now useless, i am so angry but you cant call them and they dont respond to any e mails now

Wished i had never purchased from them, and will never do again and would never recommend them to anyone , i feel like i have been conned !!!
Their customer service is not fit for purpose and the worst i have experienced in a long time
The company needs to be brought to account for their failures to customers but i dont think they care as long as the orders and money is coming in !!!!!

I would never order from them again. Their customer service is majorly lacking, I have had no communication about my order and do not reply to emails/messages. It has been nearly 3 weeks (ordered 25/11/24) and my order still hasn’t arrived (13/12/24). I have struggled to speak to anyone and when I do it’s a generic response and one response saying my order is with the delivery company. They know they can take your money and not deliver because once you have a box you have no choice other than to order their products. My order was passed to yodel on 30/11/24 and still no updates from either side. It is disgusting, their delivery time frame is 3-5 days. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

My parcel was not delivered. Tonies advised for whatever reason it was being returned to them. Once they receive it will receive refund in 4 Weeks.
Placed order on 6th November and still no assistance.
The reply you receive is exactly the same as all emails. No resolution though. Do not order from them. Better to go to Smyths which will ensure you have them for Christmas.
Thanks to ridiculous refund process my grandchild will not receive his Christmas present .
Well it’s 19th December no parcel no refund. Same reply every time I email.
Paid on 6 th November courier didn’t deliver parcel.
Contacted Tonies who advised courier is returning parcel to them WHY?
Once received they will refund.
Emailed again but no reply as yet.
THANKS TO TONIES MY GRANDSON ONLY HAS A SELECTION BOX. Furious understatement .

I have never been delivered. Shamelessly, Tonies said they were not responsible for the delivery.

We do like the Tonieboxes. It's a great concept but our recent experience has not met our expectations.
We found the product quality (charging station) and testing very poor and the customer service was far below what we expected. Just days away from our daughter's birthday we discovered the charging station was faulty and so we discussed this with the support team who refused to provide a like for like charger replacement. Instead we have had to return the whole Toniebox, meaning our daughter will be without her main gift on her birthday. Whilst we were offered a USB charger, this would come without an adapter and the cost of a suitable adapter would not be covered. We asked many times for the simple solution of replacing our charger with a new one from a new Toniebox but this was refused outright. We found the tone of the support team to be patronising and impersonal, it never felt like our concerns were being appreciated and the company chose our inconvenience over their own, which I think says a lot about the values of the company.

My daughter received a toniebox from her grandma for Christmas. Less than a month later, the ear button was broken. We thought perhaps it was bitten, which is actually frightful for parents of a young child as this machine is supposed to help our child go to sleep and entertain herself in the morning before she gets up.
We were kindly told to send back the toniebox and get a new one free of charge, which we did.
Unfortunately, and despite a good care (the machine is no longer allowed to stay in bed during the night, we put it in a drawer every night) less than six months later one of the ear is broken again. And that is not the only problem, ever since we received this new machine, it has not been charging properly.
I've been told again to send it back and get a new one but this doesn't change the fact that it is very dangerous for young children to be left with this toy and all these exchanges are bad for the environment (we asked for our machine to be repaired instead of getting a new one but they said it can't be repaired !)
This problem seems to be very well known from the company (when reaching them through the form, you can select the option that the ears are broken, I guess this is cheaper than looking for an actual solution to the problem).
I'm currently looking to contact authorities regarding the danger that this toy represents for young children.

I’m at a loss for words. Device was completely defective. Will not play if not plugged in. I took it back to the store and they said they’ve already had many complaints and returns regarding the battery, so they swapped it out for us no problem. Brought the new one home, SAME ISSUE!!!!! What is going on? This is not a cheap device at 100€ price point, and not to mention the excessive cost of the figurines. If you’re gonna lead parents into a money pit, please deliver us something!
Families beware… don’t waste your money on this inferior tech.

This is the worst electronic device I’ve ever bought and experienced.
We’re now trying to install our second Tonies box (after they had to exchange the first one, as it didn’t work).
This second one also doesn’t connect. And the customer service is non-existing. It’s really slow. And we’ve spent an enormous amount of time on this.
On the surface this looks like a really nice and cool product. However, it’s been a huge disappointment (and it isn’t cheap). Our daughter get it for her birthday 2 months ago. And it still doesn’t work…
Unfortunately I won’t recommend anyone to buy the Tonies until these guys figure out their tech and their user experience.

Unfortunately, while my son has loved the tonies box itself, I ordered a shelf for him for the holidays which came without the required mounting equipment. Obviously a shelf without the ability to hang it is useless. This was a very expensive shelf and the customer service response when I wrote in to inquire about getting the mounting equipment sent to me was that I’d either have to return the entire shelf and wait 14 business days for a new one to be shipped (also requiring me to package and ship the original at my own expense) or go to a hardware store and find my own screws and drywall anchors. The sizes they gave me for the anchors do not exist in the US. So… not an option. When I explained that neither of these options will work, I was basically told “oh well”. So I still have no useable shelf and am out ~$80.

Disappointed & Frustrated !
I didn’t not receive all of my order. Gruffolos child tonie was missing. No order note or explanation. So don’t know if out of stock or coming at a later date. I contacted customer service dept. No response other than to say my request had been submitted. So contacted again a couple of days later & was told they were investigating? A week later still no proper answer to my query. If out of stock let me know and refund me please. Sent very grumpy email this morning . If I hadnt received part of my order I would be thinking this was a scam as so little communication. I’m not an unreasonable person just would like an explanation please.
