I’m extremely disappointed with customer service

I’m extremely disappointed with the customer service I received. I was charged for another combine even though I had already removed my card and the combine was no longer active. When I reached out to customer service to understand what happened, it took them forever to respond.

Instead of explaining the issue, they automatically refunded me and closed my combine without even discussing it with me first. I told them I appreciated the refund, but I wanted to keep the combine active. Despite how much money I’ve spent with this company, they refused to reactivate it or offer any kind of replacement.

What made the experience even worse was how dismissive and petty the representative was. They kept ignoring my concerns and would not close the chat, preventing me from speaking to anyone else until the next day. Even after explaining the entire situation to a second representative, they still offered no real help or customer support.

This was honestly one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had.

This is the most greedy propfirm in the industry. They lure the customers when they started topstep tv. By giving different offers to get subscribers and everything on their TV.
Now they are at low ranking because of their platform glitches and many other things. Now their rankings are same as their behaviour now.

I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with Topstep’s Live Funded system.

The biggest issue is that the Live environment is completely different from the XFA environment that traders spend months adapting to. In XFA accounts, trading conditions are more flexible and allow traders to build consistency with multiple accounts and less restrictive risk parameters. But once moved to Live, everything changes suddenly:

* strict Maximum Loss Limits,
* reduced effective usable balance,
* much higher pressure,
* and very different execution behavior.

In my case, I had built significant reserve and performance across multiple accounts, but after being moved to Live, my actual usable balance was much smaller than what was advertised. Even though the account displayed a large size, the real tradable cushion was limited.

What makes the system feel unfair is that traders can be moved to Live after only one payout, before they have had enough time to build a proper financial buffer. At the same time, the system still allows relatively large position sizing despite the strict daily loss rules, which can easily create situations where a trader is removed quickly even without losing a large percentage of the actual starting balance.

I was eventually removed from Live despite being only around $1,000 below my effective starting balance. From my perspective, this felt extremely disproportionate considering the amount of reserve and progression that had been accumulated previously.

Communication was also very confusing. I received multiple emails with contradictory information:

* one saying my account was closed permanently with only a final payout,
* another saying my balance would be transferred into a Shoulder Tap account,
* while the reserve system and milestone logic remained unclear.

The execution quality on TopstepX also raised concerns for me. I experienced repeated slippage issues on stop orders despite visible liquidity being present, and the platform provides very limited visibility and analysis tools compared to professional trading platforms.

Overall, the system feels more focused on protecting the firm’s internal risk and limiting trader scalability than creating a coherent long-term path for consistently profitable traders.

This was not a good experience for me.

My third/forth payout was a horrible experience.

I request my first payout for international wire transfer, received it in just 6-7 hours. Requested my second payout and received it in 3 days (I requested it on Friday so the weekends were none labor days) payout arrived on Monday morning, awesome. Requested my third payout and also went great, received it in just a couple of hours. 4th payout, requested it two weeks ago, ten days later its still under exception. No email, no status updates, no actual support, no nothing. Topsteps use to be the best platform to trade on... What happened to you guys? I thought you were cool topsteps, at least you were. I should've listened to my friends and moved on to other prop firms.

Hedging

I accidentally hedged a position and they immediately closed both accounts.....I accept that even though it was a mistake but to close my brand new XFA and a Combine that dont affect 1 another was totally wrong ... I feel they could just remove profits made or something like that but to close both accounts was unnecessary.......Lucid here I come

You CAN NOT beat TOPSTEP

You CAN NOT beat TOPSTEP. There is no emailing and waiting for a response for days like some other propfirms. You can speak directly with someone within minutes. Quick response times, polite and helpful responses. Not to mention, payouts are super fast! TopstepX is PERFECT! The best part though. When something goes wrong on their end, they stand by their product and make it right.
