Amazing

I had done some research on the products I ordered and torqued seemed to come up as the most reasonable. I was skeptical at first being that I had never heard or seen this company before. I am happy that everything is legit, just as I ordered and actually received pretty fast despite ordering a day before a holiday! Will definitely order again!

Be up front

When I looked on your website, your inventory of oil pickups 15-821 (Canton product) showed you had 4 'in stock'. Your so called HQ is listed in SF. I thought, "excellent, I can get this much needed part quickly." Nonsense!! That was not the case. Instead, to fill the order, you had it drop shipped from the manufacturer which is located on the East coast. This means your outfit (in this case) appears to be a 'broker' of sorts, a middle man mail order outfit. Normally, if you list something 'in stock', you should have it IN STOCK. Not having it in stock and saying you do is called 'bait-n-switch' in most retail venues. Well, there was no advantage to ordering from your outfit whatsoever, save state sales tax. Moreover, if I wanted to wait 10 days, I could have chosen a dozen other outfits on-line, or even locally. They all list it for sale, but they admit, 'we have to order it from the manufacturer.' Because of the part's drop shipment order status, this meant I had to wait at least a week (at minimum), and in this case, 10 days before I received the item. Nevertheless, after a week of waiting, I inquired with your customer service as to why was it 'stuck' in Addison, Illinois - and to paraphrase the response, "poor weather." What?

Funny, I checked the weather report from the manufacturer's actual shipping location (in CT), all the way across the interstate highway system in the U.S., and nada. No weather related issues that entire week that would keep UPS from moving on the highway. FYI boys and girls, you can check a full month's weather history easily in any given area. Therefore, y'all achieved a 1 star for being a non-stocking retailer, along with giving some BS reason for why it was stuck in Addison, IL. Try something novel, don't start off a transaction by saying you have it 'in stock' when you don't. Secondly, if you have no idea why something isn't moving in the delivery chain, state so. It's okay, there's no shame in admitting 'you don't know.'

But hey, y'all have a pretty website. Excellent job of putting lipstick on a pig.

We're sorry you had a bad experience. Every motorsports and auto parts retailer drop ships some parts from the manufacturer, including Summit, Jegs, etc. They, like us, know it's in stock with the manufacturer. Some in fact ONLY drop ship, such as Rock Auto. I have no desire to squabble about weather, but when UPS has a package listed as "delayed due to weather", this is generally true, particularly in the wintertime in the Midwest. Again, my apologies that you felt misled - I truly don't believe you were and we never would do so - and we wish you all the best in your car project.

I recommend this company

Awesome prices and fast response to my email questions. Would of gave 5 stars if it wasn't for the minor issue of website said in stock but failed to mention that it was from direct company that is shipping it. Yet when I emailed about not receiving tracking number they immediately responded and answered any questions or concerns I had. Two days later I definitely received a tracking number.
