Overcharge the elderly

I called to get my grandma the $30 single phone line plan. Verified with the rep multiple times it was the $30 plan. They charged for the $60 plan. Called back immediately and was told I would get refunded for the difference. Called back a week later was told they were sitting on it and give it another 5 days. Called back and told they can't do anything about it since data had been used. My grandmother is 90 she doesn't use that much data. My grandmother is on a fixed income so it's nice to know there are companies out there like total by Verizon that are willing to screw over the elderly. The customer service is awful and just gives you the run around if you actually have any problems. They are the ones that messed this up in the first place and then will not fix it. They company was much better before the Verizon take over. They actually seemed to care about their customers.

Horrible Customer Service After Being With Them Over Six Years

An incompetent agent deleted both our phones from their system, when all I wanted was for them to add data, so I could use hotspot. After about an hour he was able to get my wife phone added back to the account and working. He could not get mine added back and told me that I had to wait four hours and gave me a trouble ticket number.
After four hours I called back and about an hour on the line, was told that I needed to wait 24 hours.
Called back after 24 years, after approximately another hour on the line with several techs and being referred to a higher level tech, was given another trouble ticket number and told to wait another 24 hours with the phone turned off.
Called back today after waiting the 24 hours and had to give them my credit card number again for auto refill service. We have been enrolled in auto refill for over two years, but the tech reenrolled me and was finally able to get my phone working.
MY CREDIT CARD WAS CHARGED FOR THE MONTH OF JULY, BUT THE WANTED ME TO PAY AGAIN BEFORE THE MONTH WAS UP TO START SERVICE AGAIN.
A customer service person named WENDY called three hours later to see if my phone was working and I asked about credit for the two days that it was not working and she told me my phone had service according to their system. She lied to me, so I gave her the trouble ticket numbers. She came back and said the system still showed my phone as operational. LIAR, LIAR, PANTS ON FIRE.

Will be looking for another provider very soon!!!

I wish less than 1 star was a thing…

I wish less than 1 star was a thing while trying to port a number they claimed my 50$ prepaid card and left the port in limbo and while talking to customer support on my wifes phone(thru their provider) they shut her service off while on a customer support call ? and you betcha they kept the prepaid card which unfortunately puts both our lines in limbo. I.E I cant pay for more service or do anything on the accounts due to a pending porting. so now we have two beautiful paper weights . getting a family plan this week thru actual Verizon. if you need a pre paid id stick with tracfone.

Please, just don't

Absolutely horrible! The phone doesn't even work half the time and I am now 6 hours into just trying to pay the bill. Online, the app, straight from phone 611611, phone customer service and not even their stupid refill card works. Other people had luck buying cards online through Target and doing it that way, but they've managed to eff up even that now. Capitalist thieves.

Total by Verizon is horrible, worst one I've ever dealt with.

This company does not deserve one star rating. This is the worst company I've ever had to deal with. The name itself is very misleading Total by Verizon and the employee manager I finally was transferred to even denied Verizon brought them out. I have been a satisfied Verizon customer for numerous years both on Post & Prepaid accounts. I am presently have both a Verizon & Total by Verizon prepaid account due to being mislead. My Verizon phone broke so when replacing it I ask was Total by Verizon the same company as Verizon due to me being on the $70 unlimited plus plan where I just need a new phone to continue and transfer my minutes over. I was told yes so purchased the Total by Verizon phone at Dollar General. My husband googled it before opening the phone and seen even though Verizon purchased Total they have different plans which raised doubt. Within 5 minutes I took the phone with my receipt back into DG ask for a refund or exchange. The employee informed me they do neither on cell phones. I was stuck with the phone and had to purchase a data card to activate this new phone when I already spent money purchasing Verizon's unlimited plus plan so I was pissed to say the least. It only got worse from here on. I purchased a $40 data plan that said unlimited text, talk and data with 15gb hotspot which is also misleading as 15gb is the so called unlimited data including hotspot so $40 gets you 15gb data and hotspot you choose which one and after 15 gb is gone so is your "unlimited data/hotspot". I activated the phone only for the internet to not work, camera does not work as well as many other functions on the Blu 4 phone. Three days of calling Total by Verizons tech support with 7 calls to tech support on the third day my internet still was not working. My husband and I started messing around with the phones settings and finally was able to get the internet to halfway work. However each time when it tries to open anything I had googled it comes up return to safety or proceed to possible dangerous site. Sometimes it just goes back to the home screen making me start all over again. None of their tech support knows what they're doing and many are extremely rude and unprofessional and hang up on you as that happened with my 6th & 7th call. I ask for a supervisor the next day and told they do not have one, WOW! No wonder they are so bad in both customer service and tech support nobody is in charge so they claimed. So I'm stuck with a non working phone a data card that's not unlimited data like it stated, Verizon unlimited plus plan paid for that's just waisting away and much frustration dealing with employees at Total by Verizon. I'm on a fixed income and struggling to make ends meet so to even spend the money for a phone along with two phone plans I cannot use just is not right. Being mislead was bad enough and this is like adding insult to injury. My daughter works for an attorney in which I plan on consulting with about this entire ordeal. Consumer protection use to exist in this country. Bottom line run far from both Total by Verizon as well as the Blu 4 and possibly other models that are by Blu. Sure hope this helps others not fall into same trap I was caught in. Good luck!

I had autopay

I had autopay. When the connectivity government program came along I qualified for that. When it ended I tried to get back on autopay and I never could get the customer support to do mit, so I lost my phone number and accounbt after 4 years of being on auto pay and a good customer. I tried for 2 weeks straight to get some sort of help. July 16th, I lost my account and number. I would never suggest this horrible company to any one.

I now have a different phone and number not thanks to this horrible company and service

Horrible customer service, BEWARE

The customer service for this company is worse than horrible. I tried to get a promotion they were advertising. I called the customer service number because it was a difficult account to add to other lines, I thought the customer service person would be able to help better. The customer service person processed the account wrong and then I could not get the promotion. After countless hours on the phone with them, they could not correct their mistake.

If I could give this company negative…

If I could give this company negative stars I would... so I placed and order yesterday and the money got taken out of my account but they are claiming they are still waiting for my payment approval. I talked to 9 customer service people and each and EVERY one transferred me to the wrong department... I asked to just cancel my order and they apparently can't do that, I need to dispute it with my bank... they have basically stolen $166 from me and nobody will help. We asked.to speak to a supervisor and apparently they don't have the capability to let us talk to a supervisor... this company is the worst and as soon as the transaction goes through I'm requesting a refund and canceling my order! DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!!

terrible support; unable to get eSIM working.

I tried to transfer my daughter's phone from her existing plan onto my Totalbyverizon account. She has an iphone 13, so we were trying to set it up using an eSIM. Their website does not allow one to transfer a line in using an eSIM, so you have to call their customer service to accomplish this. During my first call they did succeed in causing my daughter's service with her existing provider (Visible) to be terminated. However, 48 hours later, she still has no cell service. I was just on the line now with their customer service for the SEVENTH time. The total duration of my calls with them is 194 minutes (e.g. 3 hours, 14 minutes)--and counting. I have spoken to no fewer than a dozen representatives--and confirmed that they keep absolutely no records and just start from scratch each time. Every time I speak to someone they need to text me a verification number--I have gotten 13 of those texts. The person who was 'helping' me just now apparently hung up (not because I was rude--I've been quite polite with them), but perhaps because we were on the phone so long that his call center was closing for the night. I've repeatedly asked them to just send me a physical SIM card but they don't even answer when I suggest that. I would not recommend trying to activate an eSIM with this company.

Satisfaction Prioritized:Total by Verizon wireless has never let…

Total by Verizon wireless has never let me down. I've been a user for years, even before it was Total by Verizon. My residence is not only remote but over a 100 miles from the nearest city and still have service without interruption even in the worst weather conditions. Thank you Verizon for providing unbeatable service at affordable costs. Inflation has barely affected my phone service costs either. Call me a very satisfied customer.

June 1, 2024 robbed by Total by Verizon Alvin Martinez

June 1, 2024 I went to Total by Verizon at 5601 W Belmont in Chicago. Alvin Martinez serviced me. I told him I want to activate my new cellphone and add data. He told me it would take 15 minutes. He began taking pictures of my IME number and handling sim cards. He showed me the screen and said it was successful yet my phone was Not working. He charged me $87.56 for a service I did not receive. My phone is still not working and him and his co-worker were taking pictures of my IME number to make sure it would not work. I want a refund of my $87.56 for service I did Not receive.
