Great day at Cardiff epic trail - wet weather but great route and organisation.. already booked to do it again for the half marathon in November..

Participated in numerous events in South Wales with Toughrunner and Volunteered today at Cardiff Epic Trail 10K! Bit of confusion this morning with participants, but nothing that couldn't be solved by consulting the event pack or event staff. Possible could do with more toilet facilities nearer race start.

Recommend events Toughrunner provide to anyone as the courses are fun, challenging but so rewarding.

The medals are amazing.

Best volunteer benefits, and the Toughrunner team are more that greatful for the help.

Just give an event a try, or even volunteer.

Had a great day marshalling at Tough Runner event. Everything explained to us well before the event and it was great to cheer on all the runners.

Superb course yet again ! This is the second tough runner event I have done this year and again they nailed the course and the marshalling was also top
Class , special mention also for the castle coch emblam on the medals for this one very nice touch , thank you Adam and the Truck team and all volunteers , also some lovely runners met and a good spirit despite the weather 🙌

Did Cardiff Afan last year (2022) and it was absolutely superb. Beautiful scenery and an amazing medal to boot.

Just did some volunteering as a martial today at the same event and it was great fun despite the weather. The medal the finishers got looked even better than last year.

Can confidently recommend.

Have participated in many events by Tough Runner over the last 6 years and have enjoyed and had a great experience from sign up to event.

Todays event: Cardiff Epic Trail 10k was amazing. Fantastic Marshall’s and great atmosphere.

The Cardiff Epic was my second Toughrunner event this year and, like the Swansea Epic, an absolute corker. The organisation is excellent, the volunteers and marshals outstanding and the setting, Forest Fawr absolutely stunning. Even the rain could not detract from the event and I like the inclusivity of it too. Highly recommended.

Brilliant …. Whoever worked out that route deserves a medal …. I’m sure I couldn’t do it again without Marshall’s and the yellow signs. It was so well organised and we both loved it (well I wasn’t a fan of the hills but what did I expect really ! 🤣)

I’d have bought some merchandise if there had been any at end but guessing wasn’t very practical with the weather …

This run was organised by Tough Runner extremely well, even though the course was really challenging, I really enjoyed the day and will be next year.

Have run the Swansea 10k Epic in May this year and just done Cardiff 10k Epic today. Great organisation, good communication and their volunteers are awesome! Their prices are competitive compared to others and they do special discounts on occasion so register with them! Looking forward now to the Buff Epic in December! Keep up the good work 👍

This is the second time I’m reviewing this company. After over a month of unanswered/occasionally answered emails about getting a refund off them for the race that I had entered that they cancelled. They finally replied to me (infact three of them did) after I wrote them a poor review on here. Three of them emailed me within a few days of my post on here apologising and saying that I would get a refund within 7 days. They gave me a partial refund (£12) on to my credit card and asked for my bank details to transfer the rest (£49). I gave them my bank details and they said I would be refunded within 7 days into my account. 7 days have come and gone and nothings been given. They’re again not answering my emails. I’ve sent several emails to all three of them and I’ve heard nothing in response…all three of them were fast to email me after my trust pilot review so I’m hoping by posting a second one they will do the same again! I was even asked by one of them if I could kindly remove my first trust pilot review once I had received my refund (which still hasn’t happened in full)! I’ve never met such a frustrating company to deal with. I would never enter a race run by them again.

Cancelled the Exeter Tough runnner 10K in March, promised numerous updates but all we got were lies about the venue, when I contacted the land owners they were surprised that Tough runner hadn’t bothered to turn up. Have never been offered a refund or an update on a revised date for this event, guess I’ve probably just been conned out of my entry fee.

Their on line events during lock down meant we kept training and met a great community of people! Thier events are always the best organised, marked out and marshalled with the best medals 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I can’t say enough of how much these events have challenged me. They are brilliant fun the staff are great and the medals are fantastic (even tho my daughter pinches mine). Keep them coming and thank you for all your team do

I absolutely love a tough runner event, each run is challenging but the support you get on route from martials is so encouraging. A huge well done tough runner keep up the awesome work xxx

Done the afan forest 10k and penllergaer woods, both were very well organised events with outstanding but difficult courses! Would highly recommend tough runner

Fantastic organisation. Challenging but inclusive courses, fully marked routes friendly marshals and some of the best medals around not to mention brilliant value for money compared to other event companies. Highly recommend.

Incredible events. Professional; challenging and caters for all. I ran Cardiff Epic Trail last year and it certainly didn’t disappoint!

Race fee was very competitive compared to other events I’ve done. The medal was 🔥- as a club we entered and had over 40 people taking part! THH! ❤️💙

Not a bad word to say about these guys and look forward to attending more events in the future! 5*, recommend to all!
