Disappointing Experience with Tough Turtle Turf
In March 2023, we decided to install turf in our new home’s backyard in Las Vegas. A representative from Tough Turtle Turf convinced us with promises that turned out to be misleading.
Firstly, we were assured of a rebate from the Southern Nevada Water District, which was not available. This was a key factor in our decision, and we felt deceived.
Secondly, we were told the turf had a warranty covering pet-related issues, specifically that it would absorb dog urine without odor due to special materials underneath. However, after just over a year, our backyard reeks of dog urine despite our cleaning efforts. Upon reviewing the warranty, we discovered that pet odors are explicitly not covered, contrary to what the representative claimed.
Additionally, the installation process was problematic. The team had to return twice because the job wasn’t done correctly the first time. Despite their efforts, we remain dissatisfied with the outcome.
I regret not researching the company more thoroughly beforehand, as I later found out they have faced legal issues in the past. Based on our experience, I would advise others to be cautious and verify any claims made by their representatives before proceeding with a purchase.
