Horrible!!!!. I borrowed money granted. Yes, I knew I had to pay the money back! So I received a check in the mail. I went to the local office and apparently the check was expired. So I asked the local branch if I could still get the money. Of course they said yes. I'm not an idiot so I did read the contract. So I got approve for the same amount of the loan of the check that was sent to me. So I knew exactly how much I had to pay back and normally when they send you a check in the mail you have to pay back the loan if you don't want to pay any interest within 30 days. So I actually paid the loan back in 30 days. Okay so I paid the loan back I heard nothing from Tower loan and several months ago by 6 months to be exact and I just so happen to check my credit report because I got a notification from my credit report and Tower loan is on there. Here it is several months later and I have accumulated over $2,000 in interest on the loan that I assumed I had paid off. So I called the local branch and asked why was there a balance on my credit report and I have not gotten any type of notification, email, text or even a courtesy phone call and they told me that they don't call because I have paid up my balance for several months and I'm like okay Apparently I do have a balance because I'm still owing over $2,000. So I asked why did I not receive a courtesy phone call when you all have been soliciting me to borrow additional money from Tower Loan So the Branch manager told me yes Normally we do solicit calls but no they don't call, text or email to remind a person of a balance after they have paid up several months now. Granted now I paid the balance but my account was still accumulating interest over $300 each month. So at this point I owe over $2700 in interest and I asked the branch manager Was there anything that I could do to try to settle this or speak to someone from the corporate office so I wouldn't have to pay that amount? And and of course the answer was no and I would have to pay the full balance of the interest in order to settle my debt. At this point I highly in ALL CAPS, HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND TOWER LOAN TO ANY PERSON THAT WANTS TO BORROW MONEY. Yes I've borrowed money from Tower loan a couple of times already and I did pay them back but I would have assumed that they would have called me back or text me and or notified me some type of way to let me know that I had a balance that had been accumulated because of the interest. I'm very disappointed and at this point I have paid the total balance and I would NEVER, NEVER BORROW MONEY FROM TOWER LOAN AGAIN. I'll be homeless before I borrow money from Tower Loan again. If I could give zero stars or negative stars I would. If someone from the corporate office would contact me to further discuss this I'm all ears I would be willing to change my rating if I received a refund.
