Very poor customer service

Very poor customer service. I am now on my 13th Toyota and this is the only bad one I have had. Toyota sent an email to me saying nothing wrong with the car and they had checked with the garage. I have had it back to the garage and they agreed with me about the faults, so Toyota can't have checked with the right person.

I bought a Toyota Aygo 2025 cross from RRG Toyota Stockport.
They were really helpful and gave me 2 test rides before purchase as I had never driven an automatic car before. Jason the assistant manager was brilliant, he was friendly and very helpful as were all the staff I dealt with. I love the car and I'm grateful to Jason for helping me.

Thank you Jerry

We had a problem resetting our digital display on our C-HR car. So we went back to the dealership where we had brought the car in Enfield for help. My husband went into the building, where he was ignored by all salesperson, but fortunately a young man from the parts department was passing by and offered to help. He was helpful and resolved our problem. He was so knowledgeable about our car and showed us features which we should have been shown when we brought the car. So thank you Jerry.

FRF Toyota Dealership - servicing and MOT

Having owned Toyotas from new for the last 30 years and having them dealer serviced and MOT'd I'm sorry to say that my relationship with Toyota is ended.
Dealerships are fine with servicing new cars, oil filters oil etc. The "health check" raised issues such as suspension bushes being worn on a 30k mile 3 year old car at its first mot and subsequently on later services and MOTs. Fair enough there are warnings of things like disks and pads and tyre wear which need addressing. The quotes for the dealership addressing some of the bushes 'advisories' are eye watering. Also the dealership does the MOT itself. Having done some of the work myself using aftermarket parts and then taking the vehicle to an independent MOT station it passed with no advisories including unchanged rear bushes which the examiner said were fine. Sold the vehicle, I have no faith in dealerships doing all the servicing, health checking and MOT processes together to ever want to own a new Toyota again.

Best customer service by far

We recently bought a Toyota yaris cross and Mr Ian Mossop was extremely helpful and showed us a few models Previously we had the CHR .
It is so nice to treated as valued customers, we have been kept informed about our vehicle all the way.
When we arrived on 22nd September 2025 the car had a huge cover over it with a sign saying congratulations, and a beautiful bouquet of flowers .
Customer service at its best Highly recommend Toyota Vantage Preston.

I’m very disappointed with my experience with the Toyota C-HR. Bought it end of June 2025 after 2 weeks having tracking issues then after 2 months passenger speaker stop working now again tracking issue what kind of quality is this? While the design is stylish, the car feels underpowered on highways and the fuel efficiency does not match Toyota’s claims. Rear seating and boot space are cramped, making it impractical for family use. The ride is uncomfortable, with stiff suspension and significant road noise. In addition, the infotainment system feels outdated compared to other vehicles in the same segment.I expected better quality, comfort, and reliability from Toyota, but the C-HR has not lived up to the brand’s reputation. I hope Toyota takes this feedback seriously, as this model does not meet the standard I anticipated.”

Pressure to keep the car

I bought a Toyota Yaris Cross in August 2025 from Group 1 Liverpool, believing it was a brand-new 2025 model. I was excited, but later found out from Toyota UK,

it is actually a 2024 MODEL (MY24)

but I paid the full 2025 MODEL (MY25) price without ever being told.

From the first week, the car had serious rattling faults that the dealer attempted 2 times and failed to fix.

TWO WEEKS after purchase, they REFUSED my request for a refund under the Consumer Rights Act and pressured me to repair and keep the car.

REFUSED to return the car and pointed me to the MOTOR OMBUDSMAN

I now feel disappointed, unsupported, and left paying monthly finance for a car that is both faulty and not what I believed I was buying. This situation has caused me huge anxiety and stress.

My case is now with the Motor Ombudsman and Toyota Financial Services for review.

I wanted to share my experience here so other customers are aware.

Toyota.co.uk provides a clear and professional online experience. The website is easy to navigate, with detailed information on models, specifications, safety features, and warranties. Configuring a vehicle online is straightforward, and all official documentation and resources are easy to access.

My dealings with Toyota UK customer service have also been excellent. They were responsive, professional, and helpful in answering all my questions, which gave me full confidence when ordering my brand-new RAV4 2025. The car itself is amazing — very comfortable, reliable, and packed with modern safety features.

It’s worth noting that dealings with a local dealer may be quite different from Toyota UK, as they are separate companies. My experience with Toyota UK was outstanding, though individual dealer experiences may vary.

Overall, Toyota.co.uk and Toyota UK customer service together provide a trustworthy and informative experience for anyone looking to buy a Toyota.

Worst experience of my life

This review is for Toyota in France. But being the same company they can all take some responsibility. One of the worst experiences of my life. My wife lost both her parents within 6 months and was left with a car from Toyota. They called and left 3 messages with them. Emailed Toyota Succession with all the details and received no response. Living in England left us with a problem so we took the car back. They point blank refused to take it. Lying about insurance and telling us the director was on holiday. When we tried to leave without the car they stopped us. Literally standing in front of our hire car. Magically the director returned from his holiday. He let us leave the car so they could sort out the finance. The car finance said we owed €22k. They could sell the car for €30k. But. They still insisted we pay them a conveniently round €2200 euros for them to take it back early. We are still not sure what that was for. At a time when someone is grieving a company like Toyota should be expected to show sympathy and grace. They don’t. They lie to you to try and make money out of your misery. Very very poor.

Toyota extra one year warranty with service at toyota

Purchased our aygo x on 5 August 2024. We bought this vehicle from the dealer and it was registered new on 25 June 2023. The dealer serviced it on 5 August 2024 before we took delivery. Manufacturers warranty ends on 25 June 2026. I had the car serviced by Toyota gateshead on 5 August 2025, 2nd service, cost £394. During the service there was oil spilled on the front passenger seat.

I received an email a couple of days later to say the one year extra warranty had been done starting on 5 August 2025 ending on 5 August 2026. This means we received 6 weeks extra warranty and the car currently has 2 warranties. This is nothing more than a con. I thought the extra warranty would run until 25 June 2027.

I bought a Toyota Yaris Hybrid Excel on…

I bought a Toyota Yaris Hybrid Excel on 01 Sept. 2024. I took my car for service to my Toyota dealer Steven Eagell in St. Albans for the first service on 07 Aug. 2025 and everything mechanically is in order.
On 08 Aug. 2025 I suddenly saw a long crack internally from top left corner of the windscreen all the way down to the bottom right corner causing obstruction to drive. I contacted Steven Eagell St. Albans to check this defective windscreen and rectify immediately as it is dangerous to drive. Steven Eagell St.Albans suggested that I should contact my insurance company. Subsequently I submitted a complaint to Toyota UK on their official site and my complaint was acknowledged but nothing happened for the past four days.
Steven Eagell St.Albans service department is pathetic. It takes so long to get connected to them by phone and when someone answers and puts through to talk to someone it gets cut off.
Steven Eagell St.Albans sales team who sold the car to me is not interested to know about problems such as defective windscreen. Not to mention they do not return calls and/or reply to my email messages diligently. It is a well known fact that Toyota Yaris 2024 models have defective windscreen problems as evident by many reviews on the internet.

Don’t touch Toyota!

Surely the worst car company ever! I have a new Toyota Yaris Cross and it’s already refused to start twice! It’s now in one of their garages waiting to be fixed!!! Three days so far! I was given an Enterprise car for 48 hours via Toyota Assist, but now nothing available via the dealership! I’ve paid out a fortune and currently have no car! They can’t even tell me when I MIGHT get a courtesy car! This company needs to buck up its ideas and deal with customer complaints. I urge everyone not to buy this car! They know there is a battery fault but are not recalling them to fix the issue! Disgraceful!

Seeking legal advice.

Did a part exchange with toyota online April 2023. The vehicle i sold them they drove it through a no emissions zone September later that year and hadn't taken my name of the vehicle. Eventually after being passed around they paid the fine a year later. Fast forward to today. Law enforcement contact me. The car then drove through a toll over a year and a half later so late 2024 and unpaid. The fine was now over £500 with me being completely unaware and on its last resort before a warrant for seizing my assets was sent out August 2025. Spent the entire day back and fourth with toyota head office and law enforcement explaining the importance of this fine to be paid the same day and for them promising me it would for them to last thing before closing to try and get it squashed even though that falls heavily on me the innocent party. Now the warrant for seizure of assets is out toyota online supposed to open at 9am still closed at 9.40 and thrown their customer under the bus. Do not do business with toyota online. Absolute shambles. The stress levels are through the roof.
