Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 250 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people expressed significant dissatisfaction with the service and customer support, frequently citing long wait times and difficulties in contacting representatives. Reviewers often felt that staff were unhelpful, incompetent, and that their issues were not resolved, leading to frustration and wasted time. Some people were dissatisfied with the lack of accountability and the need to repeatedly explain their problems to different agents. However, some customers also noted that technical support was occasionally helpful, and a few individuals had positive experiences with specific customer service representatives who went above and beyond to resolve their issues.

Horrible experience with TPG

Horrible experience with TPG. Had so many problems I cancelled my plan even though I was still not paying (due to promo to have free 6 months). Really poor speed performance and the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Do NOT sign up.

Truly an awful company all around.

Truly an awful company all around.

With them for years with middling results--never quite getting the advertised speed and with pretty consistent outages. Internet began going out multiple times a day consistently, calls with support would consistently have a repeated list of standard responses where they try to say that I have done something wrong for my internet to have these outages.

No offers for physical support when their fixes didn't work, refused to send people out when asked to do so, no offers for any kind of other solution.

TPG can't use direct debit

TPG can't use direct debit. I always receive emails saying they never received payment when there is money in my bank account. Every month it's the same. I have 2 Sims and a modem plan. I don't need emails stating they will suspend my account when they can't use direct debit

Poor and extremely poor service and…

Poor and extremely poor service and sense of responsibility, zero responsibility sense ,poor stuffing, they have most of their stuff in India and philipino so they know they can't be sued in Australia so they provide you with zero sense of responsibility and unfortunately that's the scam Australian government allowed to allow multinational companies with stuff out of Australia infiltrate Australia ,pay near zero tax ,get multi million dollars ,provide you with poorest of poor service and yet charge you with big dollars monthly ,this turns back first to Australian government to let this huge scam under name of all these companies as multinational with stuffing out of Australia happens ,they eat your energy ,your mental health ,your money and time with having nearly no stuff in Australia and doing no work except selling poor quality boxes of nothing to you under name of modem ,NBN box and at the end non works to provide you with what you asked which is internet !This never happens in a so called d third world country because you can get a guy from any where as technician to come and take a look for your modem ,wall succet etc but with these companies as they actually have no stuff and all they want to do is scamming your time and money they won't allow to have a technician you happy to pay for to come and do a real job ,they say they have their own technician but in fact that's non existence ,after they scam your money ,time ,energy and mental health they go to hire some one online and that guy also feels no sense of responsibility as also he can not be sued if he does not show up because basically some one from India or Philipino give a message online to a guy in Australia ,non of them can be sued for waste of your time and your money because you can never find out a name from them ,Australian government is responsible for letting this scam going on in Australia

Terrible experience

This is the worst company ever. I signed up for the phone plan, 2 mobile numbers under my name. They posted the sims as 2 separate packages instead of one package with the 2 sims. The second package got lost and I have spent a lot of time on the phone trying to get it resolved being transferred to many different departments as every time I called I had to explain each time what happened. Eventually, they agreed to post another sim which I agree to but then they called saying I have to sign up again. I ended up withdrawing my application and yet again was transferred to another department. After one week, I found out it wasn't cancelled and had to call again and spend 40 min on the account before it was finally cancelled. Terrible company, trying to talk to someone who is overseas with scripted answers.

Disingenuous dealings

I ask for the installation of fixed wireless NBN with NO voip service for the time being. I was told I could add a voip service at a later date. The operator asked me what the land line number was, I told him the number and I reiterated that I did NOT want a voip service for the time being and that I would add one later if I found the service good enough. I reiterated that I did NOT want a voip service at least six times and that I did not want the landline service to be ported.
I was extremely clear in what I was saying and the operator repeated what I told him and said if I wanted a voip service I could add it later.
The following day I found that an extra $10 had been taken from my bank account for a voip service. I immediately rang TPG and asked why the $10 was taken and was told it was a once off holding deposit for a voip service and the payment would not be reoccurring. What the operator told me was definitely not true. Later the same day I received a notification from telstra that an application had been made by TPG to port my telephone to TPG.
AVOID THIS COMPANY.
I have experienced them to be extremely bad and devious. They knew exactly what I was saying to them and even repeated back to me several times.
Fortunately the calls were recorded and I can prove what I am saying. They intentionally added a voip service to my account and attempted to port my landline service against my wishes. I have found them to be intentionally corrupt with me.
BE WARNED.
Keep away from them.
I have canceled my application with them and looking into reporting them for what I have experienced to be disingenuous dealings. Hopefully if enough people complain the ACCC will slap them with another fine.

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR... 0 stars.

Breached privacy laws by adding my name as primary account holder on someone else's account that is not mine. Instead of just listing the correct person, I have to do a change of ownership for an account I do not own.

I have been with this company for a number of years with mobile and internet plans. SOMETHING ALWAYS GOES WRONG.

The staff have no idea of the policies and procedures, with information being contradicted from call to call and can never get a direct answer.

I'm now moving my mobile plan and now shopping for a new internet provider.

Upgraded plan from 4g wireless to 5g wireless

Transferring my 4g wireless plan to the 5g wireless plan was seamless.
The old plan was cancelled after the new connection was established which was a breeze.
The new-found speeds are a huge improvement.
With a $20.00 monthly discount for the first six months it's a winner.

Avoid and again avoid

I am ex TPG customer with ID1191571999, going for overseas holiday I needed international roaming which apparently can be provided by TPG. I had an account with TPG (postpaid plan) but I was requested that for getting international roaming I have to make payment in advance that I did ($160 Invoice No 859980548), all requested settings was done as required, but as I was very unpleasantly surprised roaming was not provided – I could not communicate and to do needed banking. After my return I asked TPG for explanation and return money I paid (My data usage from non-provided roaming was ZERO BIT) but after numerous emails with TPG I found that they are trying to confuse an issue giving me illogical and false explanation, at the end I was offer $50 as “a goodwill gesture” that I found as making mockery of customer. TPG wants perhaps to get BIG very quickly, or perhaps they are trying to run ANZ Bank business style model that I sincerely hope will not be very popular in Australia

My bro said he got 500mbit with them in…

My bro said he got 500mbit with them in a plan. I check and TPG said I could get the NBN and it signed me up to that plan. Had to get their modem sent that out and booked in. NBN guy comes out says most speed you get on this infrastructure 100mbit. I said huh? He connects it anyway says ring TPG. Omg. Each person completes 5% of a task and then transfers you. If you get transferred 20 times you might get a 100% solution. I explained my problem was I couldn’t get even 100. Most I got was 36. NBN tech said he only got 40mbit. That’s the issue TPG couldn’t solve. Open ticket closed it without me saying everything fine. Replied to their text saying, NBN working and said no. The text said reply and we will contact you. They never did. I call back transferred twice have to lodge a new ticket. Lady calls me says can’t get faster than 40? I said that’s not what I was promised. She said oh, I can see here you can get 500mbit. I said WTF? I can put in an order to get it? I said I want to cancel the NBN with TPG you keep sending me in circles, no one is honest. She said okay, transfers me straight into a verbal recording talks about a new plan instead of transferring me. Then at the end I said no. The call disconnected. I called back again. Spoke to billing. I said I want to cancel my service went through the whole thing again. Guy said he would but also has to put me through to another department. Girl answers and I tell her again, ID again. Okay she says yes, we need to transfer you to check your usage and they will do it. I say? WTF are you talking about. I want you to credit the $180 I paid for nothing but wasted 2 weeks. No proper internet. She said can’t because need to see amount etc. I said look, you are the worst companie in the world. I’m never returning. I’m going to the TIO and I’m telling all
My friends. Straight away said I’ll organise credit for you sir it will all be done etc et . Okay, I start getting emails and a text message that says tried to debit $48 from you credit card but it bounced?? I mean WTF is wrong with service companies? I know! PVERSEAS CALL CENTRES!!!!!!!!!

Pay for 100mbps, lucky to get 20mbps - with constant drop outs

Pay for 100mbps, lucky to get 20mbps! Received message saying they would be improving the network 2 weeks ago, and the service has only gotten worse. Contacted TPG a number of times, and they supposedly did a network test and told me it was fine even though the service remained terrible at best. I had tried resetting my devices, modem, router etc. Nothing worked. Continued to try and contact them but they just sit you on hold for hours, and when you request a call back they never call back. I have been forced to seek out an alternative provider as TPG just do not care or respond to issues with the service that you are paying for.

Zero star and worst customer service

I wish I could give minus star ⭐️. Customer service is terrible and full of inexperienced staff who doesn’t know how to resolve issues and related to network no issues at all but customer service is worst. I strongly recommend not to use TPG in term of customer. You will be stuck forever😩

Has to be the worst ISP EVER

Has to be the worst ISP EVER! My service with Spintel went down and could not get tech support. So I decided to go to TPG, they scammed me into buying their modem. Then advised my internet would be connected in a couple of days. I continually kept calling to get an update on my connection. I was then advised no it won’t be connected until my new modem arrived. That wasn’t arriving for 3-4 days. So I cancelled the order. I received my $64.00 for one month that I paid for then they were going to collect the modem from the post office and then get my refund. Still haven’t received my refund for the modem. Terrible service and thank god I did not go with this ISP company.
Update on my refund for the return of the modem (15/10/2025 $114.95) still no communication or refund. I’m so glad I did not go with this provider. Have spoken to 4 people, 2 who stated they would keep an eye on the return of the modem. And yet 15 days after this review and still nothing!!!!
