We purchased SEVEN of these - right after we had a bunch of tools stolen. And we are VERY disappointed! We also 'splurged' and got the extra long battery... the one that comes with a waterproof case and magnet. Anyway - each trackimo is too Large. We don't have a car we want to put these on... you know - a Miter Table Saw stand... Pneumatic Flooring tool; etc. You have nowhere to hide it; and if you want the battery to last more than 10 days (we have the LARGE battery) - you have to have it ping only ONCE each day! Totally useless as far as theft. Since ours ping around Once every 5 minutes - so that if a tool was stolen we might be able to recover it - the extra large battery - lasts like 10 days; and then you have to go get them; and recharge... Would probably work well for a CAR - but not even a Trailer - which doesn't have its own battery to hook these up to - would work well... Very disappointed!! And how to HIDE them on most of my tools? Virtually impossible. And the regular battery - that it normally comes with - that wouldn't even last ONE day - if you have it 'ping' every 5 minutes.

I recently purchased a the new style Trackimo Pet Mini 2G and these are my findings.

Generally it will just do what I want, but it has a number major and minor flaws.
Good Bits:
Small, light and pretty well made, it has a collar pouch or a belt clip.
It will track your pet at a minimum rate of every minute and the App is pretty good. It has GPS, 2G Data and BT 4.0

Issues:
The beep you can send from the app is useless as it's far too quiet to hear unless it's in your hand.
It says BT 4.0 which is capable of a distance OVER 100M. This unit cannot have BT 4.0 or the power the IC gives out is ridiculously low because the maximum range you will ever get is under 3M. I can see my dog 3M away so it's pointless. This is a shame as this could find the dog if 2G isn't available.
IF you lose 2G you cannot get any app positioning updates or even log on to open the app. Not good if you're in the sticks and lose your pet. Isn't this the whole point?
GPS is limited to being able to see/connect to the Satellites. If the device cannot connect to the satellite due to trees/cloud/atmospherics you cannot track the device. This effects all GPS devices regardless of make.
The unit/App comes set to the maximum update time. Everyone walking a pet will need to re-set it to the minimum (1 minute). This however, shortens the battery life to about 12-18 hours.
Also an even shorter update say 15 secs would be an improvement.
The SOS button has no obvious SOS marking so how would a stranger finding the dog know to press the button?

Have tried to get help online 1 email and 2 phone calls only to be told
to reset the watch had 5 questions that needed to be answered and told to ring the help desk in America.
Found the watch and activation very hard to use.
Need the watch for an adult who has no short term memory.
Very disappointing.

I read every review before purchasing it. I needed to figure out how to use it, before hiding it in our teenage sons car. So I put it in my best friends Harley. Lol I monitored him for a week.
This tracker is awesome!! I can't believe how on point it is. Time, gas used, speeds he's going. I love the over area view, like google earth.
I have had it in our sons car for a week. I need to charge it. It's at 39%. But this was worth every penny! I highly recommend this item!!

Zuri, my Maltese dog is very special to me and I want him to be safe. So I bought a Trackimo as a pet tracker to monitor him and for protection in case he got lost wandering around.

The devise is very good and performs very well as per advertised. I've been using the unit for a couple of months now and really impressed with its tracking and features. Very worth it product.

I caught my cheating boyfriend with the help of this tracker. Being cheated is the worst part in a relationship and I'm so glad I had found it earlier. This device really is a great unit for catching infidelity.

I just got this unit a month ago and only a couple of small issues encountered but that was when starting. I tested the device on my car and works perfectly, can tell you the exact location of what you are tracking.

I can totally say that this product is fantastic and can recommend.
