I submitted an order from Trades Mate for retractable ratchet straps on 15/01/2024.
I initially emailed requesting an update on ETA and was informed by Trades Mate via return email that there had been an unprecedented interest in the straps and they were experience a delay in filling the orders.
Trades Mate kept me up to date via email explaining why there was a delay supplying the items and apologising for the delay. They also thanked me for my patience.
I received the items on 12/04/2024.
I was starting to believe I had been scammed but all was good.
The retractable ratchet straps are a good product too.

My order was done on the 15th January and arrived today.
The straps are excellent quality and well worth the wait.
I had no issues in waiting because anyone with 1/2 of a brain should be able to realise that demand overdid supply. It is the million dollar question when you bring in a new product to market as to how much pre stock should you have. Trades Mate took a risk and it paid off way more than they expected and they will supply your order so just be patient. Everyone knows that supply chains atm are in crisis across all industries. Again the straps are excellent!

I recently wrote a negative review on this company, but today I received my ratchet strap albeit 3 months after I ordered it, it did include an apology for the long delay, in the meantime I bought a set of 2 ratchet straps from Supercheap Auto for much less and far better quality.

Yes a Scam, ordered in February 2024 now April keep saying they're over whelmed and getting order ready to ship, have a generic email in their reply box

Like a lot of people I had this company as a scam and thought I’d done my money. But ‘no’, my straps turned up today, almost 3 months after ordering. Hopefully they get their act together now after a massive underestimate of the market and also offer a better communication path for customers.

Must be scam. No product after months & no communication. Ordered in Jan 2024.

Scam. No product sent after months. No way of contacting for a refund. The email provided didnt exist. Absolute worst.

This is either a scam or a useless and incompetent business - either way the end result is the same - we have all lost our money (scrolling down there looks to be a few of us in the same boat) and get waste of time "ChatGPT" type responses rather than any real logical explanations. They are refusing to respond to my repeated requests for a refund, after 3 months of waiting for the goods!

These dudes are advertising these tie downs again but under several different guises on Facebook....beware people!!

I want to give a no star review. I paid in full for 3 sets February 03, I emailed asking for tracking they sent the tracking but it said not ready for pick up. I have chased up with support 4 times and every time I get an automated message telling me it is on the way. I do not believe i will see the product,

Ordered 22/01/2024 $183.95 , had not received items , sent enquiry early February to where my items were & on 12 th February received email advising order is on the way ! , 19th February asked for follow up to be advised due to large demand there were delays . Got an email to review items on 26th February (bit still had not received them . Made contact 1st March to be told by Trades Mate item was sent now its up to me to follow up with Courier Company , have contacted Courier who have nerver picked up any items from supplier ...now in communication with my bank

Same issue as everyone else.
Ordered $328.95 of straps and never received. Same generic emails. Really really disappointed as was a birthday present for my husband. I will take this further.

Will also make contact with Channel 9!! A lot of aussies in the advertising!!! Name and shame these scum!

They take your money, promise to send you products and then don’t. Do not buy from these scammers.

Same as everyone else! Spent $406 and got sweet FA! Have had the same common correspondence about being overwhelmed with orders and are behind, but 10 weeks!! I think they spend our money on more marketing to rip off another lot. What can we do about it? It's likely the people who say they are getting their straps are working with them! Scum bags!!

2 1/2 months waiting - tracking number that never went anywhere - queried it - another tracking number - sat and sat and sat - finally moved and turned up today - face products from a company that is also a scam as a “free” present apologising for the delay - with a word for word printed letter of being overwhelmed with sales , supplier let them down - working hard to fulfil orders - trying to stretch the time out so you can’t claim a refund - I reported to Westpac and PayPal
SCAMMERS

Purchased self return ratchet strap which I’ve never received & every time I send an email they send a different courier name saying this is who is picking it up.
First courier was Australian, Aramax and it was at their Townsville location, I contacted Aramax who advised they had not received advise to pick it up.
I sent an email to them and this is their reply. After this you will see their next advice saying it’s being sent by another courier, this one is in China and of course again has NOT BEEN SENT. They had my money for the item but also credit card details, which I’ve changed, asked my bank to cancel old one and reissue new one.

Auto Ratchet Strap - 3.5m

I did have to wait 3 months, and was sure I had been scammed, but product has arrived and is excellent!!!!!!

Like many others we have been scammed by this mob. We have lost $140 and after many communications with them, with replies of lies lies lies, we have come to accept we have been scammed. What scum and low life these are.

Same story as most buyers relating to trades-mate ratchet straps. I saw the item advertised on Facebook. I purchased 4 straps totalling $203.95.
Waited. Received a tracking number. Received an apology email or two for delays stating they were overwhelmed with orders. Received another tracking number and with more promises and nothing else.

As I purchased the item using a Credit Card, I have today lodged a complaint with the card company seeking a charge reversal.
