Great customer service…personal and friendly! Quality clothing that feels well made and wears and washes well so far. Fabulous colour ways…unique , however my friends are now getting interested! I love how the apparel is so coordinated.

I received an Artemis 5L vest as a birthday gift after doing quite a lot of research. It was considerably more expensive than other vests I had tried, but as a woman with a larger chest I was drawn to the women-specific design and fit.

And the frustrating thing is — I actually love the vest. It is incredibly comfortable and fits me really well.

Unfortunately, after just two uses (a 10km hike and a slow 12km road run), a hole appeared directly alongside the seam under one arm. Both times I carried only a small bladder, car key and Kendal mint cake.

I sent photos and, when asked, returned the vest by tracked post at my own expense. After chasing for an update, I was simply told it was a “tear” and the vest would be returned to me. I then waited over a week for it to come back.

I disputed that assessment because the opening was perfectly straight alongside the seam, affected only the top layer of fabric and there was no damage at all to the fabric beneath it.

I have since taken the vest to an independent seamstress, at further cost, who found that there was insufficient/no fabric caught beneath the seam stitching at the point it had failed. She has now repaired it for me.

Things sometimes go wrong with products — that isn’t really what has disappointed me. It is the customer service. There seemed to be no attempt to consider whether the seam had failed or why the damage had occurred; it was simply labelled a tear and therefore, apparently, my responsibility.

I wasn’t looking for a refund and I genuinely wanted to support this small business. Good communication, a proper examination and even a simple apology would have gone a long way.

Sadly, despite really liking the fit and comfort of the vest, based on the quality issue and particularly how it was handled, I couldn’t recommend it.

Wore my Artemis race vest and honestly it really is amazing . First it is as light as a feather , it fits perfectly ( I chose a medium) . It didn’t move or leave any chafe marks . There was so much room for essentials , I can’t recommend it enough and the colour (pink) is so pretty , Thankyou Trail Goddess 😎

My partner bought me the Artemis 5L Women's Race Vest (Knockout Pink) along with the Theia Lumen T-Shirt for my birthday and I love them! So comfortable to wear, no chafing, great quality and I can’t wait to keep going out on the trails in them. Lovely to support a brand for women by women.

First time ordering and i was a bit apprehensive as it was on a Facebook page. Absolutely no need to worry. I ordered a best and its just gorgeous. Gits perfect and i have had lots of positive comments while wearing. I ordered a buff too but it wasn’t in the parcel. I emailed them and customer service was outstanding. Received a quick response and the buff came a couple of days later - excellent

I've never used a running vest before
I've never used a running vest before, having just used a standard little day rucksack on longer runs, as I thoughtall the specialist running vests couldn't be worth the cost. However, I finally decided to buy this one, after a lot of research. This race vest is amazing, even carrying 2 x 500ml bottles of water it felt like I wasn't carrying anything, and nothing jiggled or rattled while running. Loads of handy pockets and it looks good too. Well worth the investment.

Update 13 August

I’m updating this review now to confirm that a refund has now been processed, and as of today (13 August) the money has arrived in my account.

After posting my review, the business finally responded to my email (that had previously gone unanswered for over 10 days) and explained there had been a mix-up during inspection between my vest and another customer’s return. During subsequent email exchanges the refund was promised multiple times - along with multiple requests to remove the review.

I advised I would update the review after the refund was processed. Once it was clear I wouldn’t remove it, I was only then asked to return the vest a second time before the refund would be made. Having already paid for postage once, and given that I gave the business an opportunity to spot the error when I contacted them again before they sent it back to me, I asked for the refund to be processed without a second return - this was agreed, for which I am grateful.

I’m am thankful that the business has now processed the refund, however this does not change my rating - the product was faulty, and it’s taken over a month to receive this resolution. (My first email to the business was on the 11 July.)

This review is a factual account of my experience and correspondence with the business - it isn’t a personal characterisation of anyone at the business, and I certainly appreciate that genuine human errors can and do occur.

I do not recommend purchasing from this brand - both due to the product quality and the customer service provided when raising this.

I bought the Artemis 5L Race Vest in February this year. Within a few months, both strap clips broke while being used normally during runs — I’d worn it at most a dozen times and never washed it.

After the first clip broke I emailed and received no response, I tied it up as best I could as I had a training run planned and went for another run a week later and the the second broke during that run!

I emailed again with photos showing both the broken clips and initially received a positive response: the seller offered me refund or replacement, in line with the brand's own 1-year guarantee shown on their website. I requested a refund and paid to post the vest back myself, after the seller agreed in writing that this postage would be reimbursed.

After I'd sent it back, the seller then changed her position, claiming the only fault she could see was some fraying on the stitching which was down to wear and tear - I hadn’t even noticed that myself but it is actually further proof of the vest not being well made. She said she was refusing the refund and would post it back - despite the broken clips being a separate, functional fault unrelated to any surface marks on the fabric. I emailed back immediately to reiterate that it was the two broken clips that are the issue - which mean the vest is completely unusable - and asked for her to reconsider. I received no response to this email, but a day later she posted the vest back to me and I have received no refund - and I'm now out of pocket for the vest return postage I was told would be covered as well.

I wanted to support a small, women-founded running brand, but this experience - a genuine fault, an initial agreement to refund, then a reversal after I'd already paid to return the item — has been really disappointing. I do not believe this vest is well made or fit for purpose, as I would expect a running vest to be usable for more than a dozen runs!

I love the products, the quality is superb and way above what I have experienced for similar items from other sites. And they fit so much better as they were designed for women! The new Sol collection is my favourite colourway but the other trail shirts are just amazing too.

I recently ordered the Eos Lite Waterproof Cap in Aqua Sky. The colours on the cap are absolutely beautiful! It’s so lightweight yet feels secure. I also love the adjustable fit - a game-changer from other running caps I’ve worn, which are either too tight or too loose and need lots of adjusting during a run. The design is just gorgeous - did I mention how beautiful the colours are! :-) I’m so looking forward to wearing it out on the trails! Thanks Trail Goddess!

I rarely buy new kit but fell for the Cabana t-shirt last year. My fab partner bought me one and a hoodie for my birthday.  Check the size charts when you buy as my vest/t is a different size to the hoodie - both great fits but you can also email for advice if you need.

I lived in the hoodie over winter and felt like a star in the Cabana t.  When I saw the new Sol colour way I did a bit of soul searching as I don't really need another vest but I love the colour way, style & fit of the t-shirt was spot on. I also love the Trail Goddess story so I ordered my vest. The vest arrived ridiculously fast! It might sound weird but I think it's too nice to save for running so I might just rock it over the next few roasting days that are coming back to London :-)

Brought the halo light t-shirt, such an amazing quality t shirt plus its so cheerful and bright, perfect rainbow colours, fits me really well and is light weight so great for these warmer months, love it so much. Looks so great and so comfortable

The running top fit perfectly and is made of a high quality light breathable material which is ideal.
I also purchased the running vest which, with the adjustable straps, fits wonderful and again, is very light and breathable.

I really wanted to love this company. The products themselves are excellent. I had previously purchased running shorts and a sleeveless vest whilst at an event, loved them, and this time I purchased via the website - the Artemis Race Vest - and am very happy with the quality.

Unfortunately, my experience with the website and customer service was disappointing.

Firstly, the website advertises a 15% discount for new customers. However, after signing up, the welcome email only provided a 10% discount code. It's not a huge amount of money, but it was an odd inconsistency and not a great start.

Secondly, I purchased what was advertised as an "Iris 500ml Soft Flask Bundle". At the time of purchase, the product page showed two flasks, described the item as a "Pair of two Iris Soft Flasks", and was priced as a bundle. I therefore reasonably believed I was purchasing two flasks. Only one flask arrived. When I queried this, customer service explained that two separate flask bundle selections had to be made during checkout (you had to buy two bundles to make a bundle 🤷‍♀️). While I understand their explanation, I still believe the product page was very misleading. The website was promptly updated (overnight), but no refund or return was offered. I was offered a 20% discount on a second water bottle.

Finally, I received a lovely email around 24 hours after ordering, advising that dispatch could take 7–10 working days and offering me 20% off additional accessories or apparel if I added them to my order before dispatch. This sounded great, except my order had already been dispatched earlier that same day (amazing dispatch time!). In other words, I was offered a discount that I had no practical opportunity to use. It felt like an automated email that wasn't linked to the actual status of my order.

Overall, I think Trail Goddess makes great products, but the website contains inconsistencies and the customer service experience left me feeling that customer concerns were dismissed rather than resolved. I would happily buy the products again, but I hope they improve the accuracy of their website and the way they handle customer feedback.

Great running vest. I am pleased with the service I received from the company and this is a great product.

Received my running vest on time. Good quality and fits perfectly. So lightweight that you barely know you have it on. Managed to fit everything I needed into the pockets , including my water pouch. Would definitely recommend this product.
Also loved the lovely handwritten message on the card which was in the package. 😊

This product did take an unusually long time to be delivered but in the company’s defence they promptly answered any enquiries into the status of this delivery. When it arrived I loved the appearance and the fit, but for me it’s not really fit for purpose. It’s not breathable after a short run it becomes extremely wet inside. I do expect in these types of jackets a bit of moisture retention, but not at this unacceptable level. Shame because it would be a lovely jacket without this problem.

LOVE!! Took a gamble and switched to the Atalanta shorts at the start line of my first ultra. 0 regrets! The pockets, length, material and overall fit make these the perfect pair of shorts. Highly recommend!!

Start to finish my experience with this company has been fantastic. I was unsure on sizing for the race vest I messaged and had a speedy response to my questions they were super helpful.
It’s lovely to support a business from a lady who created a race vest to cater larger chest women.

I’d highly recommend and will be purchasing more items in the future for my ultras.

I’m size 16, chest size 38E and the vest fits perfect, no rubbing, chaffing with the added bonus of looking pretty.

Ordered item on 23 April, delivered 6 June. Frustrating issues the apparent cause of delays - despite being advertised on FB, stock ‘delayed at customs’, then ‘parcel lost by PO’. Product is, once finally received, of very pleasing quality. Just disappointed by so many issues causing worry about whether I’d ever receive it.
