Being denied urgent treatment

I am currently dealing with an extremely frustrating and concerning situation with Transcarent regarding access to a prescribed cancer medication.

For over week and a half I have been trying to obtain Olaparib (Lynparza), a time-sensitive oncology treatment prescribed by my doctor. Instead of receiving support, I have encountered repeated delays, lack of clear communication, and no meaningful resolution.

Most recently, I was told my plan will only allow a 14-day supply. However, the dispensing pharmacy has confirmed they cannot provide a partial fill due to manufacturer packaging restrictions. This effectively leaves me without access to my medication.

I have attempted to escalate this through Transcarent, including speaking with a supervisor, but was not provided access to any clinical team or decision-maker. Despite the urgency of cancer treatment, there has been no accountability or resolution.

This is not just an inconvenience — it is a serious patient care issue. Delays in medically necessary cancer treatment due to administrative barriers should never happen.

I am sharing this to raise awareness and in hopes that Transcarent will take immediate action to resolve situations like this for patients who depend on timely access to critical medications.

Beware if you value your choice in healthcare providers

Do not sign up with this company if your place of business offers it to you. I need immediate surgery, and this company has created a delay in getting my health in order, even though I pay a premium for a PPO. In my area, where there are over 200 surgeons, they are contracted with two, and only one is contracted with my insurance carrier.

Beware, you will be left in pain while waiting for care, you will not be able to choose the provider of your choice, and you will have to listen to the spiel of why Transcarent is so great while trying to start any process.
