Third-Party-Wall Deposits

We carried out some building work (an extension), and by law needed to post a legal third-party-wall deposit for our neighbour whilst the work was done.

The surveyor wanted us to use their legal associate to hold the deposit, but they were both unregulated, unprotected and the cost to use them was enormous (apparently the surveyor would have received a large back-handed commission payment if we had done so).

Transpact.com offer a safe, protected alternative for just £5.98 !
Easy to use, FCA regulated, and a great alternative.
Do not let a surveyor force you to use their deposit service at great cost, and without the same protection, when making a third-party-wall deposit.

Excellent service 100% recommended

Excellent service since they prevented me from being scammed by a criminal forger of works of art, who by the way gave the company a bad rating, obviously their intentions to scam me were thwarted, I recommend Transpact 100% serious and very reliable people, thanks for their services.

Terrible arbitration. We lost 3500€ with this company. They ask us to paid 495€ to solve our case !

Please see what we received from Transpact.com :"If you both pay, then I will return the €495 paid in full back to one of you as I see fit, or split the return between you.

I cannot continue with the arbitration until these amounts are paid, and I will NOT write to you again until the amounts are paid."

Now we have no artwork and no money !

Another frustrated fraudster / criminal and another win for Transpact.com.
We love these 1-star reviews from criminals and fraudsters - they are a badge of honour for our service.

This review is not about Transpact.com at all, as Transpact.com does not conduct arbitration.
This review is about the arbitrator that the reviewer used for their escrow dispute - that is NOT Transpact.com and is a different company.

However, this transaction again demonstrates just how powerful and beneficial Transpact.com is, and why criminals and fraudsters hate us so much.

A seller sold a Banksy artwork, and the buyer and seller jointly agreed to use Transpact.com's escrow service to safeguard the payment for the artwork. They also agreed to use a different company as arbitrator if there was an escrow dispute (Referee Ltd).
Escrow is the only payment method that guarantees a buyer gets everything they were promised, and simultaneously guarantees to a seller that they get paid 100%.

The buyer claimed that the authentication certificate for the Banksy artwork was invalid. The buyer also claimed and provided documentation that the official Banksy authentication organisation confirmed that the artwork is a fake.

The seller claimed that the buyer had fraudulently faked and contrived the documentation from the official Banksy authentication organisation.

So either the buyer or the seller is a fraudster and a criminal. - [UPDATE - The official Banksy authentication organisation has now confirmed to the referee that the artwork is a fake not by Banksy, and that the seller's claim that the buyer produced fraudulent documents was itself a case of fraud.]

Transpact.com is doing exactly what it is meant to be doing - safely and securely protecting the payment of both - that payment is currently safely and securely held.

In the meantime, the arbitrator of the case (a different company who specialises in arbitration - Referee Ltd) is trying to discover the truth.
They have asked both the buyer and the seller for payment for the cost of their arbitration, and they will return in full the arbitration payment to the 'innocent' party, so that arbitration costs that 'innocent' party nothing (the arbitrator can also decide to split the refund between the parties).

We do not know at this time if the fraudster is the buyer or the seller, but we expect the arbitrator to discover this within a reasonable time. [UPDATE - As noted above, official proof has now been received that the artwork is a fake].

Police and law enforcement are not interested in these cases of fraud, as they are overstretched.
We can provide further details of this case to anyone interested (although for GDPR privacy reasons, we cannot release information which can identify either party without their permission - although it is possible that the innocent party may allow details of their experience to be shared - the fraudster will obviously try and hide their identity).

Great Service, very safe, very fast

Just bought a car (oldtimer) and we (myself and seller) agreed to use transpact.com as escrow service. Service was very straightforward, reliable and very low fee for amount involved. Will use them again.

Thank you Transpact, and I will be using you again.

Just used this escrow service to buy a domain.

It was a real pleasure, compared with the other escrow services I have used.

It is fast, fast, fast, with the domain being able to be in my control within 22 minutes of starting the process (that is how fast their payment system is).

And I was able to specify exactly what had to occur for me to be satisfied that the domain was in my control - unlike other escrow services where you have to use their imposed conditions.

And the price was laughingly small.
Brilliant. Will use again

An excellent escrow service

An excellent escrow service providing much needed online security for buyers and sellers. Very professional attitude and reasonable fees (MUCH cheaper than e.g. Sedo or escow.com ).
Highly recommended.

Received my money no problems. Low commission

Received my money no problems and much cheaper than alternatives like escrow.com. It's a little bit fiddly to use (you have to pay the commissions separately from the transfer of funds, rather than the commission being deducted) but this is a minor inconvenience compared to the cost savings.

Thanks Rohan,

Just to clarify, we allow buyers and sellers (or payers and payees) to decide who pays our fees.
If the buyer (or payer) chooses to pay our small fee, then there is no separate payment - just a single simple payment.
If the seller (or payee) chooses to pay our small fee, then we ask for that payment up front (that is what Rohan is referring to).

It's not just about our low price - we offer a much higher and faster service level as well.

Question with Transpact

I've just signed up with Transpact, but so far everything looks smooth so this is why it's 3 Stars.

As I'm looking to sell a website, Flippa and Escrow were options - but a buyer recommended Transpact.

What is a bit concerning is there's some good reviews on forum boards, but the majority of Trustpilot reviews here are made by people with only 1 review.

Those with 2 reviews or more, seemed to have reviewed basic websites and then Transpact...all on the same day, only to never return to Trustpilot again.

What's up with that? As seems really dubious...

**14/12 I saw the reply below. Wow what a reply! I was asking about the other reviews and get a reply stating my comments aren't related to Transpect...really poor customer service!**

Dear Customer (you do not give your name),

TrustPilot is not our website, and is totally out of our control.
We have no control on who comments or why, or how many posts they make.

We are straightforward and open as a firm, and have a company policy not to use the normal manipulative SEO and other social media distorting practices that seem to be the norm amongst many firms today.

So apart from the fraudsters who sometimes have commented here to try and besmirch our name (as we prevent their frauds, they wish to discourage potential victims using our service to protect themselves - and TrustPilot scandalously allows these reviews by documented real-life criminals to remain), your concerns are not connected to Transpact.com.

Update (after 14/12 update by customer above):
Customer, you are an anonymous reviewer who will not provide their name, and who does not seem to have actually used our service. So your comment 'poor customer service' doesn't really seem to hold water.

I purchased a painting through an auction on ArtPrice.com from an American.
With this process, I was scared that I could not safely receive the painting and have my payment protected.

But having used the Transpact.com system used by ArtPrice.com, I am really impressed.
The escrow system allowed me to know that if I did not receive le painting, I would receive my money back.
And I particularly liked the fact that the payment did not go to the seller until I has sent an additional cent from my bank account - so I was certain that my payment was protected until I wished it to be released.

I would recommend Transpact.com to all art buyers and sellers.

I used this escrow service to sell to an unknown new customer in Europe, and ensure full payment.

The process was quick, efficient and extremely low cost, and I would not have had the confidence to make the sale without it.
I could not find any other payment method that would give me close to the total protection that escrow offered (whilst also offering full protection to the buyer).

An excellent service - cannot recommend highly enough.

Fantastic service - quick and efficient.

And a price far below the competition.

I'm going to use them in the future.

I was a bit wary of using them at first due to their low price, but I checked them out and they really have been trading for years (check the UK's FCA website), and they are a successful escrow company used by many.
Glad I did.

Think seriously before using

Seriously, don't bother unless you are an expert at writing legal conditions as they will just void your transactions. Mine was voided following being told to forward funds to which they charged a voiding fee to return. Not a lot of help is given on the site to write conditions which will be accepted.

In answer to transpacts answer. One of the people was certainly not a fraudster. Following the first voided transpact no mention was made of the real reason why it was voided which made it very difficult to know what was really wrong. If I had been told that I needed to specify the item at that point it would have been a lot easier for all concerned.

The second was voided following Transpact saying it had been accepted by the seller and led me through the payment to Transpact before telling me that it was again voided. Transpact even charged me then to send me my money back. Transpact say that they told me then to make a new Transpact to include the item details, they did not, they just told me that I can make another transpact using the money already sent to them.

I take great exception to the intimation that one of the parties was "a fraudster" this is slander in my view. So, Transpact did not do it's job, it made a small profit from keeping part of the money sent in good faith.

My name is not fake, it is a stage name of Equity which my Facebook account is under and having logged on here through Facebook that is the name that was given. If anyone wants to know my real name it is Colyn Vickers. What does that say about the review? It says it is fact. I really think Transpact needs to get it's customer service in order and stop making wild accusations before knowing the facts.

Update. This reviewer will not be contacting transpact again to discuss anything, the damage has already been done due to the belligerent reply to a review and inaccurate accusations against a customer. I will never use or recommend Transpact again.

Reply from Transpact

The reviewer agreed a Transpact transaction stating broadly that payment would only be made to the seller once the item was received.
But the escrow conditions set did not state what the item should be - the escrow conditions only used the word 'item'.

For the protection of the buyer and seller, we voided that first transaction, as escrow only works in the sale of goods if the escrow conditions specify fully what is being traded, and what the seller and buyer have to do to receive payment.

We asked the buyer and seller, at no extra cost, to quickly create a replacement transaction specifying the item being transacted, for their own safety.
Despite the Reviewer's claim, we asked the reviewer explicitly in bold to include an unambiguous description of the item in the new escrow conditions.
This would take them no more than 50 seconds, and no cost.

The same buyer and seller then created a second Transpact transaction about an hour and a half later, which this time only talked about goods being delivered, without specifying what these goods were.
This specifically disregarded our advice and instruction to specify the item being traded.
Within eight minutes of the second Transpact transaction being agreed, we reviewed it and voided it for their safety. Even though this was on a Sunday evening. That is exemplary service.
For the safety of both parties, we again voided this transaction, and asked the parties to create a replacement transaction which specified the goods being transacted.
There would be no cost to do so, and the time take would be a around 50 seconds or so.

However, for unknown reason, one party refused (in cases like this, it is possible that they were a fraudster trying to scam the other, and it was not in their interest for the escrow conditions to be properly specified - It is no good the reviewer stating that they know that one of the parties was not a fraudster, as the other party could have been a fraudster).

So Transpact.com did its job - both parties were protected.
We would rather decline a transaction by voiding it, and turn down the revenue and get paid nothing, than handle a transaction where one of our users is not properly protected.

It was unfortunate that the Reviewer i) did not listen to our advice and instructions to specify a description of the item being traded in the second Transpact transaction, ii) in the eight minutes between their transaction being agreed on Sunday evening, and our voiding it due to it being dangerously ambiguous, the reviewer made payment to us. We immediately returned the payment to the reviewer, less our costs (we are charged by our banks for making and receiving payments, unlike consumers who enjoy free banking). This was the reviewer's choice, as there would have been no cost whatsoever if a third Transpact transaction had been created specifying the item being traded.

One final point - the name of the reviewer is fake. TrustPilot does not require real names to be used, and Bran Hansen is a made up name - the reviewer is hiding his true identity. Why ? And what does that say about the review ? [Update - We are glad the reviewer has now placed their real name in the review]. We hope the reviewer will contact us to discuss this transaction, and understand why it is crucial that we do not allow dangerous ambiguous escrow transactions to take place, as that can lead to loss of their payment.

Transpact.com is a scam!

People, be very careful of using transpact.com. Transpact.com is a scam, they just scammed me and the buyer I was associated with. I tried to sell my website on there for $9000, Transpact gave the buyer such a hard time, they withheld the funds to gain interest for their own benefit. The refuse to refund the buyer or to release the funds to me, because they are creating steps as they go along. Transpact.com is a scam, they will try and withhold your funds as long as possible they either gaining interest or they run some shabby borrow and lend service where they use your money for financial gain. This business is solely run by a scammer named colin.

Hooray - Probably the best one-star review ever.

The reviewer is a possible fraudster, who appears to sell seemingly high value website businesses for high value. Some buyers have claimed that soon after their purchase, the website business they purchased turns out actually close to worthless, their value having previously been manipulated and falsely boosted, and they have lost hundreds or thousands of dollars.

The reviewer is extremely charismatic, a fantastic and talented salesman, and he can probably sell snow to Eskimos (this is meant as a compliment).

In a transaction still on-going, the buyer/victim seems to have realised, whilst we are still protecting their payment, that if they continue they may soon lose their hard saved ten thousand dollars.
By using our service, the buyer/victim will be able to reclaim their payment if they are about to be defrauded, or safely continue if not.

So our service seems to have saved the buyer from losing their savings of ten thousand dollars.

The reviewer is furious with Transpact.com, as it was only the protection of Transpact.com to the buyer that prevented the sale.

It is clear that Transpact.com is not good for fraudsters, and they hate out service.
And there is nothing to stop an angry fraudster from leaving a one-star review on TrustPilot.

We do not know if what the reviewer was undertaking is truly fraud in this case, or was a genuine transaction. Only the buyer and the reviewer can tell. The buyer clearly changed her mind, and does not now want to continue.

But we do know that previous buyers have claimed (rightly or wrongly) fraudulent sales and inflated and manipulated websites, and loss of their savings.

So probably the best one-star review ever. Thanks

Solid Payment Protection.

Sold a painting I owned to a company I found on the internet for some needed revenue.
That company insisted that we used Transpact.com to protect us both during the transaction.

I must say it is a great service, as Transpact protected me and enabled me to send the painting knowing that I was sure to receive payment.
At the same time, the company buying the painting was also fully protected by the service.

Just ensure you get the escrow conditions right - if you do, you have total 100% payment security.
This service can enable all sorts of transactions.

Rental Deposit Safeguarding

Just got back from renting a chalet in the Alps.

We used Transpact.com to protect our rental deposit with the landlord whilst we were there.

We left the chalet in top condition, as requested and required.
But the landlord was used to keeping back some of deposit as extra spending money (local custom apparently) with no cause.
Only because we had taken the precaution of protecting the deposit with Transpact.com did we get back every cent of our deposit.

A vital service for deposits.
